So cute!

loopy that's terrifying! I'm glad all is good with both of your dcs, the wrist rein sounds like a good way to go until dc2 can get himself back under control. I'm sorry your line today wasn't more conclusive, and there always seems to have to be some kind of faff when you go to get a prescription these days, I think the pharmacies are struggling just as much as the NHS.

Today's scan pic of the little t-rex attached for everyone's amusement Grin

Cross-post OMG keep that's an AWESOME scan :) pants for the wait, but well done you for getting it checked out. Hearts are too important not to. Awww look at that lovely scan again! Did you have to tell them not to say anything about the gender?

keepitgoing · 20/05/2016 21:51

Yes we did geek and he told us to look away as he was doing the femur measurement as it might be... Obvious! It was great, took 45 mins, so detailed

I love your pic too, that's a proper baby you have in there, my love!!

keepitgoing · 20/05/2016 21:53

PS how many scans have you had now geek?! Is that it till 12 weeks ;) oh do you have any more intrallipids?

ControlGeek · 21/05/2016 08:15

45 minutes, wow! Is all ok with your back consultant too, keep? I've had 5 scans now, I have another private one next Thursday then nothing at all throughout week 11 how the hell will I cope??? then my NHS dating/NT scan at 12w3d. EPU have said I can get rescanned any time I feel the need, up to 16 weeks. I may be making use of that as my paranoia is already kicking in about coming off the meds.

What weeks did you all come off your various meds, keep, beedle and imps? My clinic want me to wean off the pred starting today, but to stop everything else cold turkey at 12 weeks. I'm a bit nervous about that, would it hurt to taper down from 11 weeks do you think? It's hard to believe that I'm actually reaching this point!

ControlGeek · 21/05/2016 08:20

Oh, one more intralipid, a week on Tuesday, then I'm done with that side of things too!

keepitgoing · 21/05/2016 08:28

geek last time I stopped the progesterone cold turkey at 9+ weeks. This time I tapered it down from 11 weeks, stopped 11+5, and stopped the clexane at 12. That's great of your epu. It'll be easier once you can feel kicks

Yes anaesthetist was fine, said siting an epidural wouldn't be a problem. Obstetrician also said they treat ivf pregnancies as normal which is good as they don't everywhere. Ie once my heart is investigated I can go back to mw care

Happy weekends all!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 21/05/2016 14:34

Looks like this bfp isn't going to last. Had my first faint lines last weekend on the iffy tests, and they got darker this week on the real tests, but today's FRER is paler than the last couple of days tests. Admittedly it was fairly pale wee as I still have this cough and so am drinking more than normal but I'm meant to be 4+4 today so I wouldn't expect that to matter much by now 😞

keepitgoing · 22/05/2016 13:32

Oh loopy I'm so sorry; this is so difficult for you. It must be tough on your body too. Lots of love

Imps9 · 22/05/2016 19:30

Oh Loops that is so sad. Huge hugs to you and Mr L Flowers

4+6 today and woken up to bleeding, another one that hasn't worked 😟 So sick of this happening.

cartoontrickster · 23/05/2016 06:08

Oh no no loopy I'm so sorry Flowers

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2016 06:17

loopy I'm so sorry I really hoped that this one would work Flowers

geek I very slowly tapered down my progesterone over about 3 weeks between 11 and 14 weeks. I had no guidance from the clinic as they thought I should stop at 7 weeks ha ha ha ha.

keep Lovely scan pic, but I can't Believe you were hanging around for 5 hours Shock

I cleared out my wardrobe over the weekend and moved all the stuff that doesn't fit to the top shelves. Its looking rather bare, I've ordered soem more stuff online I'm just hoping some of it both fits and looks nice. I might settle for just fitting me!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2016 07:31

A question for you that have done this Before. For the past few Days my abdomen has been feeling really full and Heavy, the nearest I can compare it to is feeling constipated, but I'm not. Is this feeling normal? Part of me Thinks it must be as Everything is getting a bit squashed in there, but obviously the paranoid part of me Thinks something must be wrong.

keepitgoing · 23/05/2016 08:23

Ah loopy so sorry

beedle that sounds right. I've never been constipated but usually feel 'full' now, as if I've just eaten even if hungry at the same time. I think stomack bowel etc are already squashed. But just you wait....

Pastamancer · 23/05/2016 08:23

Loopy I am so sorry, life can be utterly shit.

Beedles you get lots of funny sensations but constipation is actually common in pregnancy. Up your fibre intake to be on the safe side to help reduce the likelihood of piles. I know you said you aren't constipated but it is something to be aware of. Everything gets moved about and squashed whhich is bound to feel a bit strange at times just wait until your bladder is the size of a walnut and you have someone bouncing on it constantly

Imps9 · 23/05/2016 08:56

Aaaagh Loops that is total bollocks. So sorry lovely.

I've found that it takes next to no food to properly fill me up these days Beedles. I think the amount of progesterone we have in our system slows everything down too and can make us feel bunged up even if not downright constipated.

Nice weekends all? Mine was busy but lovely - spent lots of time outdoors in the sunshine.

So we're going to Switzerland this weekend for a long weekend - Mr Imps' mother phoned last to say that she doesn't think I ought to go as she doesn't think it's safe for me to fly and that she thinks I will be doing "too much". I think it's really shit of her to try to worry us like that. I've not seen anything which suggests it's unsafe to fly at just 18 weeks, but I will speak to the midwife today just in case she has different advice.

Pastamancer · 23/05/2016 09:08

DD1 had her birthday party yesterday and we are now awaiting the pox as one of her guests went home poorly part way through and we had a message later on saying that she is now plastered with spots :(

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2016 09:51

Oh no pasta hope the DDs don't get sick, but I suppose with that close contact they probably will - hope you've not got anything planned for a week or 2.

imps my dad apparently said that he didn't Think we should fly to England over the summer to visit as "it might be bad for the baby" I'm ignoring it. I don't Think there is any evidence that a few short-haul flights are dangerous at all. Have a Lovely time!

Sounds like I need to get used to the squashed/full feeling, and carry on with the prune juice to ensure that I don't get constipated.

keepitgoing · 23/05/2016 10:09

imps there is nothing wrong with flying, many people do it regularly throughout pregnancy. Just ignore. I'm sure she will give similarly unhelpful advice over the coming years. About birth, feeding, eating, sleeping, discipline. Might as well get used to ignoring her now!

Pastamancer · 23/05/2016 11:00

Yep, ignore her as flying is fine for you for ages yet.

I've just had my MRI appointment date come through, 7:50am next Sunday. I'm not even out of bed then normally Shock

Imps9 · 23/05/2016 11:37

Oooh Pasta what's your MRI for? Are you okay?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 23/05/2016 12:25

pasta I hope your dds do get the pox, but v mildly... I just had a scare in pregnancy as kids at nursery have it so kip may well get it. I was tested and I am thankfully immune, but much better for them to get it now mildly, and get immune.

cartoontrickster · 23/05/2016 14:18

geek I can't wait to be off the meds I hate being on soo much medication. I'll be weaning at the soonest possible chance.
Great scan pic btw and yours keep
pasta agree it might be best to get the pox out of the way in some ways I wish N would hurry up and get it, he starts preschool 2 afternoons a week in sept so I guess that will be when all the fun illnesses will come.
I'm still consuming enough food for 3 people here either because I feel sick or am actually hungry. I've given up weighing my self! I'm not feeling bloated like I was at 4/5wks and am still getting my jeans on so hopefully it's not too bad! I'm just telling myself my body obviously needs it.
Next scan and drip are arranged for the 2nd June and I have my booking in with the midwife this Wednesday afternoon.
