Hi all sorry ive not been on much im loving catching up on all the chat - still no AF just really tiny amount of brown spotting when I wipe - soz tmi - all tests negative or silly shadowy lines - just did an opk and was really dark so I'll have to be tonight abs just put it down to a wtf cycle lol

Imps9 · 30/04/2016 17:25

Geek that is a absolutely fascinating re: donor embryos genes switching off and on. I'd love to see the explanation of it.

Belle what a bugger. Really sorry for crap cycle. You're two days post AF being due aren't you? Hopefully still a chance of a BFP but either way I hope you get an answer soon.

Away for weekend with Mr I. Went for a 7 mile hilly walk today, which has totally wiped me out. Gorgeous walk though.

Happy bank holidays all!

Yeah 2 days late :-( just wish I knew what was going on in there x

keepitgoing · 30/04/2016 17:42

Um belle did you know opks detect hcg...? I think it unlikely you'd have shadowy lines. In my extensive experience of bfns there aren't lines there.....

Imps9 · 30/04/2016 17:54

Oh! I remembered earlier who also got a BFP/baby last year - ShinyBlackGrape

Belle really you ought to post some photos so we can carry out an assessment.

OP posts:
Weddingbelle13 · 30/04/2016 18:31

Yeah I got a bit excited earlier thinking ohhh the preg test will be BFP due to opk then it was nothing sometimes when I look at them I swear there's another line but I think it just my imagination started binning them due to excessive line looking missions lol- here is the opk from 4pm x

Any more peestick action this morning Belle?

I thought I felt some flutters last night, but each time they were promptly followed by a hearty trump, so they were clearly less Barry-Baxter, more excessive wind. Disappointing.

With DD1 I didn't feel anything until around 22 weeks. I had an anterior placenta which was making it harder. When it did start the best way to describe it was blipping, I kept getting little blips that were always in the same place. DD1 was always in the same position, she hardly moved at all inside me so I only had a few kicks daily. DD2 more than made up for it though,it felt like I had the GB Gymnastics team in there doing routines and she still hasn't calmed down at 13 months

Everyone is different and it is normal to feel movement later for your first.

Imps9 · 01/05/2016 13:13

I'm not expecting to feel anything for a good few weeks yet (am only 14+5). I'm sure I'm not the first and won't be the last to confuse a baby with a fart Grin

Just a quickie, Geek I have passed on your username and relayed your comments, which I think has helped several women. Someone else who is 40 and childless is also considering IVF and i get the feeling that she is viewing it in a different light having read my comment to the first woman re the DNA altering so that you are still a part of your baby and shaping it from in the womb. And another one too.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/05/2016 06:20

Morning all, though I suppose you'll all be sleeping for hours yet! I can't complain too much I have thursday and Friday off :o

belle any more pee stick action?

imps keep have you started buying maternity clothes yet?

loopy have you laid that egg yet? any more rat-smacking action?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 02/05/2016 06:48

I wish, have been awake since 5.40 here yawn!

No egg as yet and DTD Friday night and nothing since. DH was nodding off by 8.50 last night, he has had loads of sleep overnight and still acting like he is exhausted....he went straight back to sleep at 5.40 so had nearly an hour more than me this morning and a couple of hours more than me last night so he really shouldn't be this tired! So no idea if he will manage it later humph

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 08:12

Ohhh Loops I know how damn frustrating it is when your OH can't/won't perform. And to make it worse, you have to keep your frustration in as ranting just makes the problem a whole lot worse. I feel for you.

As it happens Beedles, earlier this week I bought a pair of mat jeans from H&M thinking that I'd probably start wearing them when I'm much bigger, but yesterday I thought "sod it" and wore them. I know that people will probably laugh at me as I don't really have a bump to speak of, just bloat, but fuck it - all my trousers are uncomfortably tight now, and the mat jeans are really, really comfy. I don't care if it's "too soon" to wear them - comfort is too important to me! Tops and stretchy skirts are still absolutely fine though - it's just trousers without elasticated waistbands, which is about 99.9% of my wardrobe, which are a problem.

Trix and Geek how are you both doing?

Heading back home now after a long weekend away. Sigh.

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/05/2016 08:22

ooh imps have you been somewhere nice? And are the jean overbump or underbump? I have the same problem with unelasticated trousers! luckily its getting warmer here so I'm hoping I can wear summer trousers soon and long skirts without tights!

keepitgoing · 02/05/2016 09:37

I just got my mat clothes down last night having walked round with my trousers down. Unfortunately although they are just ones with stretchy sides they seem a but big falling down

loopy brooking for later

cartoontrickster · 02/05/2016 09:41

All good here, 5wks today at the most. I've gained some weight already BlushShock I think it's a combination of the fact that I was doing weight watchers and now have suddenly stopped plus the steroids. My jeans are uncomfortable when sitting down and if I have a big meal I feel like there's lots of pressure on my tummy.
We are staying at the ils for a couple of days. Happy bank holiday everyone.

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 09:46

Yay to all being good Trix! I have gained 1.3kg which isn't too bad considering that I've stopped exercising and for the first 12 weeks was eating total shit.

They're over-bump jeans Beedles. I didn't like the under-bump ones at all - the waistband felt like it was digging in to the bottom of my bump and they felt like they'd fall down at any moment. These ones are really comfy and there's plenty of room to grow into them so I hope I'll get a lot of wear out of them.

Weddingbelle13 · 02/05/2016 10:11

Hi ladies defo negative I would say although still no AF x

cartoontrickster · 02/05/2016 10:21

Ah belle how confusing can you post a pic?

I probably sound really daft, but I'm worried because I'm gaining weight already previously when I've started putting weight on quickly I've Mc'd with N I didn't gain anything until 10wks.

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 11:07

When were your MCs Trix? You're having the drugs this time though and you can't compare pregnancies. All is good my lovely.

Belle WTF cycles are beyond shit and really test your sanity. We're here for hand-holding and cake-sharing Cake

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/05/2016 11:26

belle sorry about the bfn, strange that the opk was so lear so Close to AF being due.

imps so the overbump ones don't fall down? I thoght they would this early on - maybe I need a trip to h&m to try some on!

trix just remember that every pregnancy is different. I'm brooking that this is a sticky one for you

I'm 13+1 today and was wondering when does the 2nd trimester start?

cartoontrickster · 02/05/2016 11:35

As in how many weeks imps? One mmc stopped around 5wks I think, maybe 6, one blighted ovum and the last one just after 12wks .

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 11:41

Yes, that's what I meant Trix. Oh, MCs are the worst, especially ones so late on. Brooking so hard for you and I bloody well hope you can get an early scan referral.

I think the 2nd trimester starts at 14 weeks Beedles but will stand corrected. No, the over-bump ones don't fall down. The panel is quite snug fitting but very stretchy - it's a little bit baggy at the back especially, but I'm not constantly hoiking it up or anything like that. Prob best to try them on and see how they fit you.

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 02/05/2016 13:29

I thought the 2nd trimester was when you had completed your 12th wk so at 13wks?
I'm probably being completely stupid but its hard to shake these thoughts sometimes.
