Not stupid, not in the slightest. It would be unusual if you weren't worried tbh.

My Babycentre app says that first trimester ends at end of 13th week, but have seen elsewhere that it's at end of 12 weeks. It's all a bit confusing Confused

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/05/2016 13:43

trix I'm still expecting something to go wrong, so its not surprising that you're worried at such an early stage. Just take it one day at a time - today you are pregnant.

imps does the overbump bit show under your clothes? - perhaps not a worry for you at weekends but I wear jeans to work and its not common knowledge yet!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/05/2016 13:45

I Think I'll go with 13+2 being the end of the 1st trimester, almost exactly 1/3 of 40 weeks! So that's tomorrow :o

emalady · 02/05/2016 15:13

Hello all, I'm new here, been sort of TTC #1 since August but changed jobs so was kinda ambivalent about it for a while. Now settled at the new place and back to really wanting this to work. previously used OPKs which looked like I was ovulating, now been to see GP for bloods - first lot look ok but ovulation bloods not for another week as I seem to have annoyingly long cycles. On pregnacare and extra folic acid. Trying hard to stay lighthearted about it all but getting a bit sad nothing has happened yet.

keepitgoing · 02/05/2016 15:35

imps I'm surprised you've managed to put on weight, what with all the puking...

beedle the over bump bit just looks like a black top, it's quite subtle. I have some but they are huge... I think 13 weeks,

trix yay to 5 weeks, one step at a time. I can't remember when your scan is?

Hi ema welcome, you'll get your bfp this month you see

geek I remember sweetie telling is that. I can't imagine anyone would care about genetics once you have your baby, though to stop annoying questions I think having similar colouring will be good. Have you told anyone other than your mum?

loopy hope dh can DTD again today. I wonder why he's so tired. 0540, jeez

Happy BH all!

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 16:02

Hello Ema sorry you've not got your BFP yet - you clearly have chosen the wrong sticks to pee on. You will soon find a good peestick that will give you your BFP. Good that you're having tests already - is your OH have a sperm analysis too?

I know Keep - I imagine I'd have put on so much more if I'd not been vomming so much. Am still a little resentful that so little of the healthy stuff stayed down, but the high fat/high sugar stuff seemed to stay put. I've actually had quite a sick day today which had been a bit out of the blue.

I imagine that once over-bump clothes have been worn on a full bump, they will stretch and not be wearable in the early stages next time around. Ditto what Keep says about the panel showing under clothes. As long as you're not wearing a thin or light coloured top, I doubt anyone would notice.

Have you started the grand seduction yet Loops? Not that that ever worked for me

emalady · 02/05/2016 18:35

Imps DH is not all that keen on semen analysis, lil bit of performance anxiety I think, waiting to see if the blood ovulation test is ok. If it is an nothing this month he has said he will see the GP to arrange a test.

Imps9 · 02/05/2016 18:52

These things are never easy. But now you've joined this thread, you will not go away empty-handed. We will make sure of it Smile

OP posts:
emalady · 02/05/2016 19:44

Yey!
Also in terms of the over bump jeans I think it depends how big you get and how good the elastic is as I have had friends who have worn the same jeans recovering post baby and early in the next pregnancy without wierd wrinkling etc.
imps hope the vomming settles down -or the good stuff stays in while the rubbish escapes-

cartoontrickster · 02/05/2016 20:53

keep my scan is 14th of May at the private clinic.

Weddingbelle13 · 02/05/2016 22:25

I can definitely see a line there Belle. Brooking brooking brooking that it gets nice and dark over the next few days.

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 02/05/2016 22:40

Belle I'm usually one for being optimistic about most things but I hate to say this but I know someone else who had superdrug early tests that looked just that a couple of weeks ago. She got BFN's on first response, bfn on clearblue. She is not pregnant, and doesn't think she ever was. She did a test using one of the superdrug tests in water and there was a faint line on that test too. She is considering making a complaint I think.

As for me, I had a very positive OPK this morning, and DTD tonight plus we'd done Friday so should be plenty of sperm up there, and suspect I will ovulate in the next couple of hours. So roll on the next 2 weeks!

Imps9 · 03/05/2016 07:06

Have you tested again this morning Belle? I didn't know that Superdrug tests were unreliable Loops - that's very shoddy if so.

Nicely done on the shagging Loops! Well done Loops' DH. Bring on a nice, strong, sticky BFP in 2 weeks. What's your drug strategy this month?

Clearly my mind hasn't accepted my diffed status yet - got on the bus to the station and a nice man offered me his seat. My immediate thought was "oh god, how embarrassing, he must think I'm pregnant" Confused Nice that my bloat is helping out re: being offered seats. Bump alone wouldn't achieve that Grin

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 03/05/2016 08:28

Well done loopy! Yes, what's this months plan?

imps Grin very exciting though to be offered a seat!

I put on a maternity skirt for work this morning and it fell off... Few more week in normal clothes I think!

cartoontrickster · 03/05/2016 08:49

Yay for dtd loopy I hope you get your sticky bfp this month.

belle I can see something! But I'm Shock by loopys friend's experience of those tests, it's times like these when I like to break out a digi. Could you get one perhaps?

Waves to ema

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 03/05/2016 09:35

If you search google apparently there is quite a lot re superdrug ones giving false positives. She wasn't happy as she's already had 5 MC's and that was her first month since getting a high NK cell diagnosis from Coventry and she posted lots of her photos in our secret Facebook group and her photo looked like Belles, but all other tests were negative.

I'm meant to be taking progesterone from BFP/14 dpo and clexane from BFP because of the lupus anticoagulant test being positive, plus stay on metformin. I am seriously thinking about not taking any progesterone this time. I haven't had a pregnancy get past 5 weeks since I started taking it. Didn't need it for having the boys. I had a spontaneous MC 1 after a small fall at home, approx 6 weeks, MC 2 was MMC died at 6+4, and MC 3 was spontaneous 24 hours after massive pain that happened the day before that has been suggested could have been because of my blood. So not sure progesterone has helped and worried it has affected the subsequent 6 BFP's.

Imps9 · 03/05/2016 09:45

There's no reason why you should need progesterone Loops so seems sensible to avoid taking it. I will do my best Stick Embryo Stick dance for you every day for the next two weeks.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 03/05/2016 11:17

Am having another really sick day today. I wonder why it's come back again after all but disappearing for a week or so?

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 03/05/2016 11:26

well done for smacking that rat loopy It could be Worth a try with no progesterone, if nothing else at least you'll feel that you are trying something different.
And I'm also shocked at the false negatives on superdrug tests Shock

imps sorry you're feeling rubbish again, lots of women on my an thread say that their sickness has been going away and then coming back. It must just be B-B making his presence felt Before he can kick you hard enough to notice!

Weddingbelle13 · 03/05/2016 20:03

Just did a frer - totally bfn how very annoying ! Hope you ladies are all doing ok

emalady · 03/05/2016 20:09

cartoon hiya! waves back Brew ?

imps sorry you are feeling sick and rubbish again, should settle down soon.

loopy Did they explain hy they thought the progestarone would help? If not then I can see that it would make sense to try without. Such a hard decision. Fx for a sicky one!

So shocked about the superdrug tests - glad I haven't bulk bought them. Could properly drive yourself a bit mad with that.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/05/2016 06:21

sorry about that belle sounds like you did have a faulty superdrug test Sad

geek how's Everything with you?

I've almost finished my progesterone, got about 5 Days left at 1/day, but I'm going away with work next week for a couple of Days (my conference spa trip) and I'm a bit worried about only just having stopped when i go away. I was thinking maybe I should stop now so if I have any problems (highly unlikely I know) I have time to sort it out before I go away. What do you think?

Imps9 · 04/05/2016 07:14

I think you'll be fine either way Beedles. I went down to half dose (which to be fair was still 400mg) at 12 weeks and stopped completely at 13 weeks. I think Keep stopped even earlier than that. Maybe give the clinic a call and ask about possible side-effects of stopping so that you know what might happen?

Belle I am furious on your behalf re: those Superdrug tests. Honestly, it's not new technology - it's absolutely unforgivable that they make tests which give false positives.

Ema how are you getting along? When is your progesterone test due to happen?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 04/05/2016 08:00

Oh belle I'm sorry, that's dreadful

Yes beedle this time I had totally stopped by 11+5, last time I stopped cold turkey I think at 9.5. No side effects either time. The evidence is v dubious esp after about 8 weeks, it's more of a 'better safe than sorry' I suspect. I'd stop now, wouldn't bother telling the clinic tbh. A few days will make no difference. And it's FAB not to be on drugs!!

Ooh that scan seems a long way off trix

geek how are you doing lovely?
