BoBo90 · 22/06/2016 07:08

Haha Marmite I think I myth get some funny looks if I break into a twerk every time I think of testing!
I know I will want to test Sunday so I will officially test Sunday at 10dpo! Fx I will at least get a faint line - I've let myself get hopeful after seeing the Ewcm for first time so if I'm not preggers it's not going to be pretty haha!

Good to hear from you Help, I thought you had left us! The cramps sound promising!! Keep monitoring everything and jump the oh/dh 🙂

Sorry to those suffering at work 🙁 There's nothing worse than having to go into a place everyday knowing it's going to be hell and to have that heavy feeling bringing you down all the time!
Stay positive girls and remember if you get your bfp's you get a nice long break from work and if they don't like it tough!! It's your right so screw them 😄

Hello ladies how are we all? Sorry to hear of stressful times at work! I had the day from hell yesterday but today is a new day lol!

Fx to those ladies testing this weekend! Make sure to keep us posted!

I finally got my flashing smiley this morning! Told DH we need to DTD tonight or else!

I've booked to go on a "walking holiday" with my dad and other people to Wales up a mountain and general walking around in August. Do you think this would affect anything if I do get pregnant before then?!

Fx to those in their tww at the moment! Fx this is your month!

BoBo90 · 22/06/2016 07:50

Woo for the flashing smiley 🎉 Lou!
The walking holiday sounds great and won't do any harm if you are carrying a little extra bundle along with you 😉 Exercise is good in pregnancy as long as you don't over exert yourself 🙂

Ha Bobo it would be a distraction though!

Thanks all, I have a meeting with my manager today to discuss some of my concerns... Hope I don't cry/wuss out as I hate confrontation!

I think I am going to wait til on holiday to test if AF hasn't arrived... Will just pack plenty tampax and wee sticks haha!

Woo for flashing smiley lou get on it!! Grin

ClaireSunflower · 22/06/2016 12:27

Aw sorry to all having a tough time at work! I have stressful days at my place too. Yesterday was no fun at all. It's hard when you are trying to stay relaxed for ttc when work is a nightmare. I imagine a bfp will go down like a lead balloon at my work too but like bobo said, tough! Lol and I am looking forward to the day I leave there for maternity leave Smile

sarahhh1984 · 22/06/2016 12:46

Sorry to hear about the bad times people are having in work. I took the plunge earlier this year and went freelance because I hated my bosses and the company I was working for. Plus, I knew that when I eventually did become pregnant it would cause no end of hassle as they weren't very family-friendly.

Not sure how viable being a freelancer and working from home will be when I do have a baby, but at least for now I know I can manage childcare myself without having to ask anyone's permission! Fx work gets better for all of you having problems.

Update on my situation: withdrawal bleed showed up when expected (if a good few hours earlier than usual) and the crazy symptoms I was experiencing went away with it, so I'm guessing it was just extreme PMT! So now I'm officially on Cycle 1 and, once this bleed's out of the way I'll be getting my DH to DTD as much as possible. Wink Sure he won't mind too much...

Loulabelle1990 · 22/06/2016 13:39

Ahh good, I was worried I'd be putting it in danger etc! I told my mum about it too and she told me not to be so silly haha.

Hope your meeting goes okay marmite! You'll have to let us know how you get on! Will be a good holiday present if you get a BFP! Where are you off to?

Oh once I get my BFP it'll for sure go down like a lead balloon here too. We're already short staffed as it is! Send the place into meltdown haha! But you gotta be selfish sometimes! My place offers no maternity benefits/maternity pay apart from SMP which is crap! But hey ho! I have always been told you can never afford a baby and if you always think like that you'll never have them!

Glad you got your withdrawal bleed Sarah! Fx your cycles regulate themselves quickly xx

sarahhh1984 · 22/06/2016 14:28

Thanks Loula. I'm taking Seven Seas Trying For A Baby which some people have said helped regulate their cycle more quickly so I'm hoping for the best, although trying not to get ahead of myself.

The only problem with being freelance is all I can get is Statutory Maternity Benefit which is not great. But I'd have only got SMP at my last "proper" job anyhow and they had no maternity benefits and were really stingy about flexible working (you could have it, but if you did you needn't expect things like pay reviews and you were expected to do the same amount as everyone else, just in less time!). At least working for myself I can make the decisions about working around a family rather than fitting a family around work!

When I told my DH I was ready to start TTC, the first thing he asked is "can we afford a baby?" but, as you say, I don't think anyone ever can!

BoBo90 · 23/06/2016 07:16

I'm glad your now into cycle 1 Sarah 😄

Im 7dpo now and this feels like the longest bloody tww ever 🙁 I just want to test already grr!

Morning ladies. Sounds like everyone's cycles are ticking along. CD 13 today. Did a digital opk this morning through as was doubled over with one sided abdominal pain yesterday but it was a negative. If it's anything like the last cycle I won't be ov till about cd 20. I should know this but if you tested with dual hormone digital opk you don't have to do it every day if you've tested a little too early do you? I think I read somewhere you could not test for up to three days? Any thoughts? Hmm

How are all our resident preggos doings? X

peskyfeelings · 23/06/2016 08:06

Hello ladies,

May I join the party please? I need some people to drive myself bonkers with. It's far more fun than alone😊

Name: peskyfeelings
Age: 37
TTC: #1
Came off pill in April
Had 2 cycles, now been getting dark lines on ov sticks since CD 18 & it's CD24 now! Been having endless cramps and twinges since then. This TTC thing is a tricky business!

Loulabelle1990 · 23/06/2016 11:16

Hi johno!

I started testingearly too but I tested every day just in case I missed my surge otherwise I'll be questioning it so I done everyday for my own sanity!

Welcome pesky! Nice to have another newbie on board!

The tww always does seem to just drag on! Keeping my fx for you Hun xx

peskyfeelings · 23/06/2016 12:34

Thank you Loulabelle.

I didn't know what a ttw was until very recently. Now it's my main obsession. 😃

Loulabelle1990 · 23/06/2016 13:35

Oh tell me about it! I honestly never realised how obsessed I would get! It's so easy for the men isn't it.

Are you doing the Internet cheapie OPK's?

Cookie22 · 23/06/2016 19:39

Hi everyone! I feel like a total stranger these days! I've been trying to focus on other things other than ttc recently as I feel I've been coming slightly obsessed. I hope yous all don't mind me being absent then randomly posting after being away for almost a fortnight! I'm just tired with it all and felt like i needed time to just relax and not think about anything baby related. 2 more friends have since announced their pregnancy news and its made me feel like the green eyed monster once again!

Ooh 7dpo Bobo- how exciting huni!! Who else is in the tww?? Hello to all the newbies! I'm cd 20 and OPKs are totally negative! However, I've noticed increased CM the past few days so this may be a good sign that ov is approaching! Xx

Cookie22 · 23/06/2016 19:40

Been becoming* not been coming- bah! Typing too quickly! Xx

BoBo90 · 23/06/2016 22:58

Cookie my darlin' you are always welcome even if you need to take breaks for sanity 😄 Friends announcing is always hard, lots of 🍷🍸🍹 for you! I hope your opks start getting darker following the cm increase 😄

I have zero symptoms and can't wait to test its driving me mad this cycle! I think the fact I used preseed and had Ewcm has made me more hopeful! I may have to pee on an Opk tomorrow to keep me sane haha!!

OP posts:
peskyfeelings · 24/06/2016 06:33

Yes Loulabelle, just the internet cheapies. They are still coming up with lines. I even tried a cheap pregnancy strip this morning, but bfn😢

Somebody on another thread suggested that my body still might be trying to ovulate, but not quite managing it. I'm worried about that now. I'm still getting cramps and twinges. It's really uncomfortable.

MishyBakes · 24/06/2016 06:58

CD 13, starting using by bbt thermometer! It is so different to my other one, my temp is a lot lower. Hopefully this will make tracking ovulation a bit easier - thanks purple for your advice on this!

Also started the OPKs (clear blue digital) so far they've been negative (what I expected). That kit says to use the FMU. I've also bought some of the Internet cheapies, and am going to test in the afternoon. I've read a few studies that show a decrease in LH at night, so it follows a circadian rhythm, which makes me question why the CB kit specifies using the FMU. Either way, I'll be interested to see if I can spot a difference between the two OPKs!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Cookie22 · 24/06/2016 21:20

Thanks Bobo, you're such a lovely lady! Oooh I'm really hoping and tossing everything that this WILL be your month! Are you testing on Sunday? Do you have frers on standby? Exciting!! Xx

BoBo90 · 24/06/2016 22:17

I meant to say welcome pesky in my last message!! I'll add you to the list tomorrow 😄

Yep testing on Sunday cookie 😄 I have frers at the ready! I did do a silly this morning and tested at 8 dpo hoping for a squinter😳 It was obviously bfn! I'm such a numpty haha 😁

ClaireSunflower · 24/06/2016 23:05

Hi cookie glad you're back and don't worry at all. We know better than anyone how all consuming ttc can be and if a break is what you need then do what is best for you Flowers

I've had a couple of friends announcing pregnancies recently too and it feels like a kick to the stomach to me! Of course I am happy for them but I can't help thinking why is it not me yet!

I am 6dpo and feel normal. I will be curious to see how long my lp is this month as its been 7 and 10 days in the last 2 months of trying (and taking b vitamins to try to lengthen). I am hoping it's longer than 10 or even better, a bfp. How's everyone else in the 2ww doing?

marmitetoast1 · 25/06/2016 08:53

Morning girls. Currently sat in the airport waiting for flight to Italy. CD30. Held off from testing this morning. No sign of AF yet.
Good luck testing tomorrow bobo and everyone else in 2ww and testing soon! Will check in a few times as and when I have wifi - will be hoping to see a few BFPs!

Cookie22 · 25/06/2016 09:10

Thanks Claire Flowers I know, I just felt like I needed some time off as I think i might be on this thread for a long haul now! Ooh keeping everything crossed for you sweetie. Hope your luteal phase stretches out this month- mine was only 7 days last month too!! When are you testing?

Ooh enjoy Italy Marmite, you lucky thing! Hope AF stays away for you chick xx
