Stealth / Banana, any idea what the success rates are for a single tested embryo? Has your doc given you any info?

Been doing a good job of distracting myself from thinking about the IVF. My cat has been helping....She caught a bird earlier, didn't kill it but broke its wing and poor thing couldn't fly away Managed to get it to the vet.

Came on to say good luck for tomorrow Banana. Love the socks! I completely missed a trick there. Had boring plain white ones on for EC/ET.

Lucie, what a shock that must have been, especially on top of everything else. I agree with the others about complaining. Hope you didn't have to wait long at the hospital and are home now.

Maple, great news re your results! Hope you can still get a June appointment.

Itsme, the meds are daunting at first but you soon get the hang of it.

Brenna, so glad your appointment went well. Really sounds like you are in good hands. Good work on the prezzie for your Godson. I always struggle with gifts for kids. Need to get a first birthday gift for my niece soon and a friends little girl.

Sammy, can you POAS again? FX for a BFP but a few times AF has arrived fir me pretty much straight after.

Not much to report here. Have had the odd twinge and a vague AFy kind of feeling on/off. I was a bit clumsy this morning which is usually one of my first pre AF sign. Kind of going back and forth between thinking it's worked and thinking it hasn't.

lucie my doctor gave me 80-85% chance. Might be different if you've had a failed transfer before so definitely ask. But the odds as I understand it are extremely good (and if you're doing belt and braces immunes as well then they should be even better).

brenna sorry in my outrage at lucie's appalling treatment I forgot to say that your appointment sounds really positive. Great news.

Stealth, wow that's amazing! Is that live birth rate or pregnancy rate? I think they kind of look at my current cycle fairly positive because it actually worked and the embryo implanted just in the wrong place rather than miscarried. I'm still have trouble getting rid of it nearly 10 weeks later lol. I doubt my success rates would be that high though that seems very, very high but even if it was around 60% I would be pretty happy.

I am not sure but I believe it's clinical pregnancy rate - so hearing a HB.

It is reassuringly high, but if you think about it once you've had a PGS tested embryo the "only" things that can go wrong are lining related, immunes related or the evil random bad luck where either implantation doesn't happen for an unknown reason OR something happens during the pregnancy. So a pretty small subset of variables to control for compared to all the hoops you jump through on IVF/natural conception!

It's great that you've had an embryo tested normal - really great news. And the one that was abnormal would not lasted so you have saved yourself some heartache. That doesn't make it ok that they did it without your permission though!

Yes that's what I'm thinking too stealth. We are pleased that we have the normal one and we don't have to go through anymore heartache with the abnormal one its just the fact they did it without telling us that grates on me. I'm not sure if there's been a big cock up somewhere and they did it by mistake as he offered for me to have them both tested at a reduced fee a few weeks back and I said no. I wonder if they had already done it then!

You're right about there being a lot less to have to control. Knowing my luck I will end up in the random bad luck group though!

Maple I guess I'll have to, but I know I'm not pg. I feel exactly as I always do pre AF. I'm hoping she'll rock up over night.

Trixie - I do have a FRER - been saving it for when I could actually see a BFP so that would probably be good enough to make AF arrive! When is your OTD? Xx

Oh my god amazing news my bloods have come down from 236 last week to 41 today! She said they should be negative when I go in next week. I'm absolutely over the moon!!! Never thought I would be so happy to not be pregnant!

Sammy, OTD is 2 June. My notes say to POAS if AF hasn't arrived by then but don't know if AF would arrive if I was still on the pessaries. We are planning to test on bank holiday Monday, will be 8dp5dt. Absolutely petrified!

The pessaries stopped AF for me, but don't for everyone apparently. Eek, not long to wait then! Keeping everything crossed for you. Xx

Eeekk not long to go then Trixie. The pessaries won't hold af off indefinitely but could well do until after OTD. Will be checking here like mad on Monday!

Sammy Typical AF being a pain in the butt though of course, we shan't complain if you get a fab ironic pre-ivf bfp! I shall cross my fingers that that's what's going on, but good luck with the bcp and this cycle if she does arrive.

Lucie Fabulous news on the HCG drop! I was wondering, while reading, what to say about the ridiculous situation about the clinic, but Stealth put it brilliantly. It's great that you've had the tests but it doesn't make it right that it was done without permission, or that they delivered the news while you were in work. Sounds like a cock up somewhere down the line to me. I hope you are OK.

Lucie when I saw your post I did wonder if you were coming to our wedding, since we're in the same area but then I saw you said your hotel is on the coast, and our venue is up a mountain in the arse end of nowhere. I think I'm disappointed that you're not coming to ours. How funny would that have been! This week has gone so slowly! I'm willing Saturday to hurry up. This will possibly be my last post for the next few weeks, as I'm struggling to get my last bit of revising done, then it's wedding/exam/honeymoon in quick succession. We're going on a cruise around the med so no idea if/when I'll get signal but I'll pop in and keep up to date if I can. Hoping to come back to lots of fab news from everyone, and I'll be thinking of everyone who is testing/starting cycles etc.

MPP - have an amazing wedding day!!!! And honeymoon too, look forward to hearing all about it when you get back. Xx

Still no AF and no BFP either. I wasted my FRER in an attempt to invoke the law of sod. I'll have to call the clinic now. Think positive thoughts for me, I think it might break me if we end up having to wait another cycle due to timings. Xx

I had a bfn at 11dp3dt which was otd on Tuesday. Last progesterone was taken Monday night. No sign of period. When is it likely to appear?
