Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

AF has arrived here. I need to make a doctor's appointment as I need a referral to have my cervical polyp (that word makes me want to dry retch for some reason) removed.

Apparently they CAN impact fertility Dr. Google told me yesterday so best get it sorted.

Looking forward to the weekend...am knackered from my first week of commuting to London every day but also because we're picking engagement rings and visiting two wedding venues Grin

stumblymonkey · 01/07/2016 08:19

Corgi...have thought of you a few times over the past week as I saw a tote bag covered in corgis at Sainsbury's and then M&S have a t-shirt covered in corgis which I saw a couple of days ago. You MUST get them Grin

kwick · 01/07/2016 08:23

Well perhaps the mahoosive spot on my chin means AF is on her way? or that I am allergic to creme de la mer products

ChatEnOeuf · 01/07/2016 10:57

So, CD1 today. Which means this month's womble tantrum was potentially the much-fabled ovulation bleeding.

Exciting week there, Stumbly. Hope the venues are perfect :)

Ditsy79 · 02/07/2016 06:46

Hiya, I am still lurking but had to come of the Fred for a while as I was getting too obsessed. On cycle #13 now, and still no bfp. Been referred to fertility clinic, appt is in a couple of weeks - apparently I have low progesterone levels - so will have to see what happens.
Congratulations name !
Hope the rest of you are okay.

corgi88 · 02/07/2016 13:29

hi viroids. congrats stumbly on engagement and also on your excellent eye for corgi-themed things- I will investigate pronto!
chat goodness, ovulation bleeding - I have had that a couple times. Gx for next cycle and hope witch isn't being too annoying in the meantime.
I am still waiting for my fertile window to begin. Starting to worry I drink too much ....think will try to only drink on weekends from now on. I don't drink looooads but worried it adds up. kwick are you still on the wagon? very impressed. Hope your AF stops messing you about soon.
ditsy hope you are OK and FC appt goes well.

kwick · 02/07/2016 18:07

Yep corgi I am still on wagon!!! I am impressed with myself!

ditsy there is loads that can be done for low progesterone - so best of luck with that. I would just advise that if they prescribe cyclogest that you use up fanjo and not up jacksie Confused I am still not right in jacksie area - and it has been over 2 months since I stopped.

justtheonethen · 03/07/2016 03:15

Hi all, just popping on to say hi. Not read back properly but didn't miss name's bfp! Congratulations Star

Meeting dp for 2 weeks of shag heaven soon, hopefully perfectly timed to get upduffed before laparoscopy in September.

Hope you're all ok. I'm thinking of you all.

ScottishLady7 · 03/07/2016 12:15

Hi all,

Just popping in to say howdy.

Still trying, still no BFP, still drinking too much (snap corgi).

We've been referred to the FC on the basis of DH's SA results - low volume and abnormal consistency.
I'm getting my day 21 bloods done next week. My smear came back with abnormal cells and I had a bit of a wobble about TTC while waiting to repeat (should we keep going vs waiting until after repeat in six months) but luckily I was able to speak with a gynae friend who reassured me to keep shagging! I am following her advice Grin

I've been thinking about you all and popping in to lurk from time to time.
name your lines were GORGEOUS, good work!!!

Fingers crossed for sticky BFPs for everyone, pronto!

angelazul · 03/07/2016 18:04

Corgi & Stumbly I'm trying to cut back on the good ole drink too. I'd already cut back, but acupuncturist recommended cutting it out almost completely Sad

Ditsy good luck at FC.

Scottish gx the bloods come back with good results.

Hey to Just hope you're enjoying Japan, & plenty of shagging when your dp arrives.

Nothing much to report here, been trying to improve my diet, gx that I can eat my way to icing Grin

coribeth · 03/07/2016 21:45

Hey all well I decided to treat myself so bought a cb fm which should arrive Tuesday v excited! Have well and truly fallen off the sw wagon following dd 18th birthday celebrations but am climbing back on in earnest first thing tomorrow hope everyone has had a good weekend Grin

kwick · 04/07/2016 08:36

just enjoy shag heaven!!!!

angelazul · 04/07/2016 19:54

Just back from yoga, managed to do pigeon & king pigeon this evening. Feeling very proud of myself won't mention the agony of course Grin

How is everyone else doing??

ZylaB · 04/07/2016 20:17

Still here, still waiting for AF after mc (or a bfp ofc, but I'm not even sure I've ovulated!) I just want to know what's happening so I can get on with things! Stupid body.

Went back to sw a couple of weeks ago because I'd put on 12lb since getting my bfp and then the mc. Lost 2lb first week and half this week, but hadn't been doing it properly at all! Going to try and have a strict week to lose some more and try and feel better about myself.

coribeth · 05/07/2016 23:42

zyla I feel your pain it is so easy to put on and so difficult to get off and even harder to be strict with yourself all the time I have done quite well and lost 1.5 stone but the last two weeks have really struggled and I have mostly eaten a lot of cake! Confused

angelazul · 06/07/2016 10:42

Well I had my GP appointment finally this morning to discuss results of my bloods. She's saying that my progesterone results are really promising (20.6) & everything else is good, apart from my potassium, which is a bit on the low side. Acupuncturist is still insisting that progesterone should be over 60, so no idea really whether I'm icing or not Confused GP is going to submit referral to fc this week, so at least that's something. Oh & I've to increase my thyroxine again.

Zyla that's a really good start on SW, I struggle with my weight & know how hard it can be sometimes

kwick · 06/07/2016 11:25

angel pigeon is one of my all time fav yoga poses Grin well done - it is sweet agony right?

zyla I hear you - my WTF cycle was 8 weeks!!! Now I am waiting for 2nd AF and then second round of IVF.

I was supposed to lose loads of weight but food has been my friend after the MC.... At least digging at allotment is boosting my fitness levels...

ZylaB · 06/07/2016 16:26

angel I had lost just over 4st (3.5st with sw), but put 12 on being starving while pregnant and then comfort eating, so I need to get that off, and then the last 7lb to get to target finally!

kwick · 06/07/2016 20:36

canters are you still lurking? How are you my lovely?

angelazul · 06/07/2016 20:45

Zyla wow that's amazing, I've no doubt you'll reach your target Star

lildottie · 07/07/2016 09:00

angel progesterone is measured in different units in different but from memory I think it should be over 30 in UK measures. Might be worth a Google if you're getting conflicting advice x

NameChange30 · 07/07/2016 16:22

Thanks for the congrats stumbly Ditsy just Scottish Smile

kwick zyla Hope AF turns up soon.

stumbly Have you picked a ring and/or venue yet? Exciting!

just Hope you're enjoying Japan and shagging!

Ditsy Scottish angel Good luck at the FC.

I am 6 weeks pregnant today, still finding it hard to believe, but provided all is well, I should have a blueberry size baby in there somewhere! I might join the JS Grads soon. Still thinking of you all.

kwick · 07/07/2016 17:15

namechange dont go!!!!!!!! Is that 6 weeks using date of last af? It feels longer Hmm

NameChange30 · 07/07/2016 17:27

kwick If you don't mind me sticking around a bit longer, I'm happy to! I like you lot Smile
If I was going by LMP and an average cycle length of 28 days, I'd be 6+2, but my average cycle is about 30 days and I think I iced on Thu 9 June, so I'm going by that. I guess I won't know for sure until the scan (which feels like AGES away!)

kwick · 08/07/2016 08:03

Glad you are staying name

Had fastest smear EVER! Maybe my fanjo has got used to being messed with? Anyhoo very pleased to have got that over with - now AF just needs to make an appearance and all will be well with the world!

Happy Friday!
