Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

I've a missed call from my GP surgery, presume it's about my bloods. Won't get a chance to call them until after lunch probably ...

angelazul · 10/06/2016 11:46

Spoke to the surgery, my thyroid is a bit on the high side (T4 21, TSH 0.18) so have to reduce thyroxine & restart in 3 months. Other results have arrived in, but gp hasn't had chance to look at them yet.

Vidroids I need a massive hooyah, had a tiny amount of pink tinged cm & I'm ss like mad now & consulting dr Google. Someone needs to save me from myself Blush

angelazul · 10/06/2016 11:51

Btw ain will done, gx the scales catch up soon & your bmi is in the right range for clomid Star

lildottie · 10/06/2016 13:02

Ain it's great that you are seeing results in your clothes, though totally frustrating the scales won't back you up. Increase water intake and exercise as much as you can I think is best to try step it up. Xx

LondonGirl83 · 10/06/2016 17:08

Congrats lil! I can't believe how time has flown. That means I've been trying to conceive for at least 10 months!

Sorry I've totally fallen off this Fred but trying to conceive was doing my head in.

I actually went in for some testing about a month ago and I'm fun but the morphology of DH's sperm was half of what it should be. He's been on high dose vitamin C and conception vitamins from September (because I'm anal) so I think the results will stay the same when he retests later this summer. He had one un-descended testicle for a while (both are out now) but I think that's why the results weren't perfect.

Anyhow, I've been focusing on work which has been going well-- including looking for a new very exciting role at another firm. If I get pregnant I'll deal with it but I don't want to put my life on hold.

Anyhow, my test date is tomorrow. Send good BFP vibes my way!

kwick · 10/06/2016 19:47

ain I will gx that the scales will catch up with the clear inches loss. Hang in there! I am ao glad my fc has not asked for this as I am still a fat lump

london nice to hear from you and gx for tomorrow. If magic potion is an issue maybe think about doing IUI - they do not need to work so hard then.

FINALLY, 7 weeks after MC my AF has arrived! Praise the Lord!!!

NameChange30 · 10/06/2016 19:57

London Good to hear from you. The possible new job sounds exciting! Sorry about your DH's test results, that's not ideal but at least something can be done about it now you know.

Kwick Hurrah! At bloody last! (No pun intended Wink)

AliceScarlett · 10/06/2016 20:04

I'm lurking. Good to see some bfps.

I feel a bit jaded at the moment. Had bloods and swabs done yesterday. I'll get the results Tuesday. Hoping they find something really so they can fix it and I can have a baby.

My only solice was regular periods and now I'm not regular and stop in between. Meh.

AliceScarlett · 10/06/2016 20:05

Spot and solace

kwick · 10/06/2016 22:10

alice that is pants. Hope you get some answers next week.

Ain626 · 10/06/2016 23:30

Thank you viroids for your kind words.

I really do need to up my water intake. Thanks for reminding me Lil

My phones being stupid so will write a proper reply when it sorts it's life out, but my spotting has stepped up a notch. I'm in heavy spotting / light period territory now.. only on cd48, so if it actually turns in to af will be the shortest cycle I've had in the nearly two years of ttc!

LondonGirl83 · 11/06/2016 06:11

So... bfp!

Please keep fingers crossed for me it's a sticky bean this time!

angelazul · 11/06/2016 12:00

NameChange30 · 11/06/2016 12:22

angel Sorry the witch got you Sad
I hope the doctor will look at your results soon and help you make a plan of action!
Meanwhile have all the Wine and Chocolate

Ain626 · 11/06/2016 15:10

Yay London gx for a sticky bean!

Sorry angel af is a bitch.

I've been teary a lot today. Earlier I burst into tears on the way home because I forgot to buy peppers in tesco... Hmm

LondonGirl83 · 11/06/2016 15:38

Ain-- sounds like hormones

Angel- sorry the witch got you

kwick · 11/06/2016 18:07

angel Flowers

ain sorry you are feeling out of sorts my darling.

ZylaB · 12/06/2016 07:27

angel sorry about AF :(

london congrats :)

We're away on holiday and I'm sulking because I'm still bleeding so I can't swim and I really want to! It's nearly 2 weeks since the miscarriage now, surely it needs to stop soon?! Bah :(

AliceScarlett · 12/06/2016 07:42

Sorry to hear that angel.

The witch got me too. 5 days early, I've decided that counts as irregular cycles and will make another gp appt if my tests come back normal and I don't need them anyway. NHS choices says you can have pcos without any symptoms. I want to be tested for that. I know that's demanding, but I know something isn't right.

NameChange30 · 12/06/2016 10:14

zyla Could you use tampons or a menstrual cup?

Alice Sorry the witch got you. And yes be demanding!

ZylaB · 12/06/2016 10:25

name you're not meant to because of infection risk, that's also why you're not meant to swim. I'm just sulking because it's dragging on and on!

NameChange30 · 12/06/2016 10:42

Ah ok, sorry - I didn't realise. How annoying! I hope the bleeding stops soon x
