Back to SQUARE ONE CD1! Anyone want to spend April with me?!

So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Totally joining you both on 'the mission!!!'. As soon as AF waves goodbye, DH won't know what's hit him. End of AF is usually quite close to FW, so I've never bothered in between, reckon I missed a trick there, so feeling more hopeful now!!
Summerblush The top line looks lighter* to me, is that the test or control line?? * xx

The top line is the control line. The bottom line is the test line which appears after you take the sample. The bottom represents my urine sample. Xx

Summerblush I'd say that wasn't a positive.. Sorry.. :( Maybe it's getting close to it though. I use those tests too and my LH surge is darker than that around ovulation time. The line closer to the green bit is the control one. I've attached my positive opk pic for u to compare.

I think it might depend on how much LH surge we all have in our bodies. So for u if that's the darkest one you have had then that could also be your surge. Do u have any other symptoms? Like EWCM? Cramps?
Mine got darker each day then at my peak the line was darker than the control line they faded the next few days. Everyone might be different x keep dtd though just incase I'm wrong X

Agree with Footprints. Technically a negative test as the control line is stronger, but for me that test line would make me think a positive would follow very shortly if I'd been testing regularly! If this is your first test of the day, however, there's a chance you could have had a positive if you tested earlier in the day... I'd try another one before bed if I were you, if it's darker you'll know the peak is yet to come, but lighter could mean you've already peaked??

Thanks Footprints for sharing! I'm glad I did share with you ladies on here because there isn't anything else to compare with. But, I can see from your test how dark that line is and now know what to expect. It's been the darkest I've seen as leading upto today has been quite light. According to my app I'm in fertile window with Wednesday and Thursday as my peak days.
Maybe I will test again before bed.
No, no cramping. Although don't usually experience cramps mid cycle, but then again...I've never really noticed or knew much about ovulation.

Hi ladies, sorry have been MIA today. Been very busy with work and kiddies. Kinda forgot about TTC for once. Everyone here seems rather positive which is good.
So I'm pretty sure that I did ovulate. Had positive OPK on Friday DTD twice Friday, once Saturday and once Sunday. My Nipples were so sensitive yesterday...anyone else get this during ovulation? I also had a headache all day yesterday. No more EWCM now and OPK negative again so I hope (finger a crossed that we caught an egg) Won't rest until Next Saturday though.
Does everyone avoid alcohol during the TTW?

Thinking hoping I might Ov soon, though the OPK I did earlier had NO second line, had a bit of a line yesterday (a faint faint line)... but I had EWCM. FF says I should expect it early next week, but I'm hoping it will come earlier as these cycles are way too long to make me patient enough to keep all this nonsense up for long!!

Summer in agreement with everyone ... I had a test like that and labelled it as peak on ovia then did one the next day and it was even darker so switched to High and peak for the darker one. It changed my FW on ovia.

Jod sounds positive! You should dtd tomorrow and then you've technically done smep.
I've never had sensitive boobs or nipples ever to be honest.

Physics sounds like you are fertile at the moment with Ewcm. Have you had a dark line yet??

My OH has asked how you all are ... "How's mumsnet?" Haha

Summer mine get a bit darker than that, I'd try in the morning with second morning urine and I bet it'll be darker.

Footprints and Tee my temps have been all over the place this month. I did wake up at 4 to go to the loo last night so might explain the drop. I'll see tomorrow if it goes up. Thinking positive only four weeks until I go on holiday so if it's a BFN I've going to indulge on loads of wine and cheese.

Parney I've been eating pineapple but no Brazil Nuts.

Radders good luck, plenty of dtd, loving the positive attitude. It's quite infectious.

Jod my nips got really sore but I don't know if that was all the dtd (TMI)

Physics my positive opk was near the end of the patch of EWCM, in fact the day I think I ovulated it was a mixture between EWCM and creamy. I'm 4 dpo. Only 7 days until test according to ff (that was when it thought I'd ovulated). I'm going to disregard that temperature this morning.

Smep is sperm meets egg plan. Basically says once you get a positive opk you should dtd for three consecutive days, have one day break, then do it again

I checked and last month when I got my high opk I dtd, next day dtd which was peak opk, then again next day with negative opk, then days break then dtd day after that.
So kind of followed it but not 100%.

Seeing all those opks made me want to do one to check nothing weird was going on after the CP but literally no line at all so happy about that.

I read somewhere that it takes time for the CM to travel down for us to see it etc so if we see EWCM it's prob been like that for a day or so already so been fertile for longer than we think ... If that makes sense?!

Wish I could fast forward to ovulation days and then to the end of the month.

I think i ovulated around Cd15 last month so a long way to go yet. I'm sure the days will fly by though!
