So AF got me this afternoon!! Trying not to get down in the dumps (although I just watched 'one born every minute' on catch-up and sobbed!)
Dusting myself off and hoping for better luck in April! A few stats:
Age-33
TTC-5th cycle
DC-1 DS (3.5 years old)
Anyone else at the start of their cycle and trying something new in the hope of a more successful month?!

Welcome summerblush! GrinBrew

So nice to hear everyone's stories experiences and plans!! Yes all a bit over the country.. But that's what makes it interesting!! Grin

We are all in it together ConfusedThanks

Nimisha · 24/04/2016 11:19

Welcome summer, what CD are you?

I have two children, 6 and nearly 5. I always knew I wanted three but didn't feel the time was right for work reasons until now.

Actually it's going to be terrible for the department as we already have few vacancies we can't fill but I don't want to wait any longer as there is a chance things will just get worse!

I still haven't saved enough money for maternity leave (I'm the main earner in our house) but I'll hopefully get enough for six months off but the time I'm due.

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:32

Thanks Jod1, Tee and Sucha,

It's just nice to share the experience with someone as I'm not speaking to anyone else about it other than DH.

Plan of action; I'm just going to get as busy as possible for the next 8-10 days. That way I've covered the fertile window and some. I've read that every other day is good as daily reduces the quality of sperm. But I'm just going to make sure every day is covered. That way if it fails, I will try every other day on next cycle.

Awwwwwww wishing you all lots of luck and let's keep each other posted:-) xxxx

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:35

Hi Nimisha,
I'm cd11 at the mo. If you work it from first day of your lady af then cd11 for me. I've also downloaded an app called ovia. Anyone using that?

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:35

*last AF not lady 🙈

january29 · 24/04/2016 11:47

Welcome summer! I'm using ovia, going to be putting in opks this month to give it more info.

We are ttc first baby, both 31 and so want it to happen, the waiting is hard! I'm from Essex, would be so lovely to meet up, I'm not talking to anyone except dh and coming to talk to you is helping me to share stuff.

Tee think you are next to test, how are you feeling today?

Parney · 24/04/2016 11:52

Hi Summer, I use Ovia, but they change my fertile days depending on OPKs. We have no DC yet, so it's all very exciting.
No more symptoms, cramping is worrying me though, comes and goes and can be quite painful. I tested again last night on a clear blue non digi and the test line was darker than the control.
Tee are you next? I can't wait to see more pics!

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 11:58

Thanks January :-) I'm from Northampton:-) not too far from you:-)
I've done an ov test strip today and the line below test line is a lot more visible. Although not darker, but I think it's because I'm just about to going into the ov window. Ovia is good, but I think it calculated my ov date incorrectly. The ov test strips I got suggested I would ovulate from day 12! And that's tomorrow! I got a huge pack of these tests so doing the test daily doesn't matter as there are plenty in the pack and you won't run out.

Where are you in your cycle? Xx

Parney · 24/04/2016 12:03

Sorry I'be confused myself, the pregnancy line was darker than the test.
Summer you should put the results in to Ovia and it should become more accurate.

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 12:08

Hi Parney,

Yes, the line below the test line was visible but not as dark as the test line. The instructions I have suggest that if this line is darker then you are ovulating. I will add to ovia. Either way, I'm catching that egg!!! :-) xx

Parney · 24/04/2016 12:10

Mine went from faint on CD 11 to positive the following day! So you're lucky if you're getting a gradual warning! Good luck getting busy Wink

january29 · 24/04/2016 12:20

Hi summer I'm cd25 and due af on Wednesday, we dtd every other day during what I thought was fertile week but sure it didn't work so just waiting af and then starting with opks! Sounds like you are gearing up for a busy few days of dtd Grin fingers crossed you catch the egg.

Parney your line getting darker is really positive.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

raddersmrs · 24/04/2016 12:23

Hi summer! Welcome to the thread.

Can't wait to be in my fertile window again ... This month is going to go so slow. I can feel it already!

Treating myself to yummy chocolates today which I got for my birthday and had abstained from. Always make me feel better.

Think I'm going to need to buy some more opks. Probably got enough for this month.

I too use ovia. I don't put a lot in there but find useful to work out Cd day and to remember when dtd.

I find it difficult logging opk on ovia as never know whether to choose high or peak! I change it cos sometimes think it's peak and then turns out line gets darker so it wasn't.

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 12:35

Radders. Same. I just logged my results on ovia and didn't know what to choose either. Gosh, I hate all the waiting game!! Happy Belated Birthday and enjoy those yummy chocs!!

Indeed, next week or so will be busy dtd! I sure I hope I get a positive out of this for putting out all week!!!! Time will tell I suppose ladies. So who's next to test??

Nimisha · 24/04/2016 13:24

Parney I got loads of cramps in my first pregnancy when I was about five weeks. I was so worried I went to the GP but she said it was normal.

I'm using fertility friend, I like how it calculated the day of ovulation (though it did think I'd ovulated earlier and then changed it's mind)

My temperatures are really up and down though all the way through the month, just higher in the second half and they stay high until after AF and then drop down. I don't know whether that was due to having the mirena coil in through. I was taking my temps whilst waiting for it to come out. Who knows what will happen this month.

Only 9 days until test day. My leuteal phase is quite short though so I might get AF before I test.

Jod1985 · 24/04/2016 13:41

Just getting ready to go out for a family lunch Smile I have a headache today and I never get headaches! I read that it could be an ovulation thing - hormones causing headaches?

I'm going to try not to test for another 13 days. See I won't be late as I still haven't had a period since getting Mirena removed. But I'm confident based on OPK's and EWCM that I just ovulated.

Tee4me · 24/04/2016 14:01

CD26Star or CD1!!!
Oh bugger bugger bugger!!!
At mum & dads and just went to the loo, looks like AF has shown her witchy face 2 bloody days early! Didn't see that coming, no major cramping which I usually get, plus I am usually very regular.
Back to the beginning I go!! xx

Tee you sure it's not just spotting? Xxx

Nimisha · 24/04/2016 14:51

How many days po are you Tee? could it be implantation?

Tee4me · 24/04/2016 14:55

I really hope it is but I think that would be wishful thinking! I would have expected to implant much earlier, I'm 13-14dpo. It's starting to feel like full flow and get crampy now. Gutted!! Sad xx

Summerblush1982 · 24/04/2016 15:02

Ohhhh Tee sorry to hear!! Big hugs! X

january29 · 24/04/2016 15:14

Oh tee, the only thing I can say is getting your at earlier than expected means you get back to fertile week more quickly, not much I know but still. Hope you have some treats to tuck into.

Mimilicious013 · 24/04/2016 15:23

So sorry tee hugsFlowersWine.

You would think ttc would be easier but it seems to get more complicated. I lost my late dh when my dd was only one. It was rough but luckily got remarried so this will be dh #2 and it's taking everything I have.

Footprints1 · 24/04/2016 16:10

Wow mimi.. All those children! And you still have time to dtd! Shock

So sorry TeeSad, you must be so disappointed. And I'm sure it's ruined your afternoon. Try stay positive. Hope it leaves u soon so you can get on with your cycle. Xx

Jod- has your ovulation lines faded a bit? I did one just now and it's not as dark so guess it's finished. Are u going to temp?
