Removal of coil, ovulation and conceiving

Hi MNers,
I'm new on here and myself and OH are in early stages of trying for a baby.
He has two children from a previous relationship, I have none.
I had my coil removed last week (a week today) and I've had a variety of answers when I've asked how long it generally takes for my cycle to come back. I have ovulation sticks but as expected only a week in nothing as of yet. Can anyone share their experiences with me please?

I've not had a lot to be honest! I was expecting an awful period but I've had 1 day of light bleeding and 2 days of spotting. The odd cramp/twinge but that's all.

I had a mirena, bit of a bugger to get out. Strings were AWOL when gp tried so got sent for a scan to make sure it was still there. It was. Then sent to a specialist clinic when rooted around a bit then ended up with a local anaesthetic while they found it.
Got pregnant straight away, didnt have a period between removal and pregnancy.

I'm really afraid of it being embedded. I can't feel my strings. I really hope it's a straight forward removal,

If they're struggling ask them to use a longer speculum - they had to do this for me and she had it out in seconds.

I know eeeekkkk I already feel better having it out, hope I don't get the hormone crash they talk about! I asked if it was ok to TTC straight away or should I wait and the doctor said no need to wait! I asked when I could expect a period and she said "you might not even get one" I really hope that's the case. I feel different down there too!

I'm now 7 days post removal and apart from a 1 day period and minimal spotting I feel no different! DH has had D&V but is finally better so we can start TTC again are you going straight for it too Jod?

Yes I am hoping things happen quickly. I haven't had any bleeding yet. I am very tired though, my back is aching today and I have slight cramping.

My friend is visiting this weekend, I can't wait to see her but won't be able to DTD until Sunday and then I'm away next weekend! It's finding time together alone that will be tough!

Hey mammabear I'm great. I haven't had my period yet though. Just had some spotting when I wipe and seems to be in the morning that I get that. Had a few twinges, cramps and needing to pee more or and definitely tireder than usual and occasionally feeling nauseous. Would say AF will show soon!

Hey Jod! Any sign? I've had non stop spotting/bleeding from 2-3 days post removal and will be glad when it finished so we can just get on with it!

No sign of AF at all. Be a week since removal on Wednesday. Still have the above symptoms plus tingly boobs and a cramping / heavy feeling

Last night I had a stitch like pain in my right side. This morning loads of EWC!! Ovulation right?

Sounds like it Jod! Have you been using any apps? I've found the Ovia app really useful for plotting symptoms/illness/spotting etc.

I am really fed up as have been continually spotting for 2 weeks now!!

Oh no have you mamma 😓 I haven't had any bleeding at all yet. I'm pretty sure I ovulated Monday. DTD Sunday and Tuesday. I'm away from hubby now since yesterday until Sunday so no DTD for now. Will just have to hope I did ovulate. My boobs are a little sore and ok nauseous at times but thinking that's cos of ovulation. I'm not charting anything. If AF arrives or I don't get AF in two weeks I'll test.

Hey Jod. Better, thank you! Spotting stopped on Friday (thank god!) so now back on track! DTD yesterday and today so fingers crossed we'll get somewhere. I have NO idea if I have ovulated or not yet, not had any symptoms so difficult to tell. Will give it 4 weeks post spotting and start testing from there if AF hasn't shown!

Hey kpreenian, you still around? How are you getting on - are you in 2ww yet?

I thought AF was starting Saturday as cramping and had brown discharge (the smallest amount) when I wipe? It could be implantation (as I am pretty convinced I ovulated last Monday) but it might just be my body regulating. My boobs are tingling too and I'm tireder than usual. If I don't get my period by Sunday I will test!

I didn't bleed much after at all, spotting more or less. I had it taken out on the 3rd March and I had my first period as of 3rd April - how's that for timing! I have an app on my phone to work my cycle out, not sure how effective if will be though, we shall see!

Well I am now wondering if I've misjudged it all. Had it out Thursday 17/3, DTD Friday 18/3, spotting from Sunday 20/3 til this Friday just gone and DTD Saturday and Sunday.....now for the past few days I've had sore boobs and pelvis....am I reading too much into this? I couldn't be PG after all that spotting, surely?!

I have a sore pelvis too tonight? I think my body is playing tricks on me. I think it might be the side effects of having it removed
