Ttc no.2 so thought I would pop my head in. Timing wise from coming off the pill to ttc for no.1, I came off in June 13, started ttc in Oct, BFP in Feb, DD born in Nov 14. My cycles hadn't settled down by the timing I got BFP, ranged from 30-60 days so I had started tracking the month we conceived.

I didn't go back on the pill and we started ttc no. 2 in Feb this year, waiting to see what happens.

CatMum87 · 31/03/2016 12:30

Hey, just thought I would check in to see how everyone's getting on??

Im still waiting, day 104 or something silly!! Think ill start counting montgs rather than days now!

Tweetypie95 · 01/04/2016 11:36

Yeah, I'm trying to take my mind off it. Stated up back at the gym!! I have missed it so much but hoping it gives me something else track and focus on!

Nearly at the 3 month mark! Still another 3 to go before I can really think about going to the Docs. My mum said it took her a year to get pregnant first time. I do wonder if it will be true for me too.

I have noticed a few more spots and in more unusual places like my forehead. (Tend to only get them around my chin and not as many as i have at the moment).

Everything else is normal really ... other than No Periods of course.

Catmum anymore on the hormonal imbalance at the Doctors?

Might sound like a total freak here but I love going to the gym and doing classes etc. Definitely agree that its a good focus, I've booked a couple of runs etc in to help keep me active & occupied rather than consuming myself with ttc!

That's great that you can talk to your mum about all this stuff, does she know you are actively trying? In theory a year doesnt seem too long but in terms of trying for a baby, we live in a society where we are used to getting things pretty quickly, so when the control is taken away its kinda scary!

Ive actually got an appointments at the doctors tomorrow. I dont really like going unneccesarily and waste time, but then if there is something wrong, be good to know at this stage rather than a year down the line!

Belleoftheball14 · 04/04/2016 19:42

All the best for the appt tomorrow CatMum, sure all will go fine.

I had my first normal period last week, so exciting. Had no symptoms before, lasted 3-4 days and was a lot lighter than ones I had when on the pill but they're not 'real' periods anyway apparently.
Will stick around though as have to see if AF will come again next month. Can take a few months to settle apparently.

Good on you for keeping yourself distracted from just thinking about this and hitting the gym at the same time! Two birds.

Tweetypie95 · 06/04/2016 17:26

I'm really loving being back, I only stopped due to change in job and hadn't quite worked it into my new schedule yet! It really has took my mind off the whole period that never seems to come! No catmumI haven't told her I'm actively trying, want it to be a surprise for her but it came up into conversation when talking with my sister in law as she thought she was pregnant ... But wasn't. She's still on the pill.

I however don't want the pressure from otherpeople even though they mean well!

Weirdly though today at lunch I had 2 pinhead size marks on my underwear... I thought it was maybe just potentially a mark from the previous period days... I've just got home and there's 2 more tiny marks ... So strange. I did have some period type cramping last night but I thought nothing of it as cramps have been and gone the past three months.

catmum hope your appt went well!

No blood or marks when I wipe ... Any ideas ladies? :)

Hey ladies! Any updates?!

Belle- good to hear that you've had your first period! How long did that take? Bet is was a relief!

Tweetypie- did you get to the bottom of the spotting? Keeping active definitely helps take your mind off it and I find a bit of sport most days makes me more relaxed- must be all the endorphins! I'm a lover of spinning- definitely feel like you've done a good work out after a session!

My appointment at the docs went better than expected, he was really nice and didn't just fob me off. He did say that anything up to 12 months is normal however it really shouldn't take that long. Got the ball rolling with some blood tests just to check if there is anything going on - all have all come back normal so I guess the waiting just continues!

I must admit I go through periods of googling everything and anything to see what I can do to help, to then being really chilled out and forgetting about it and thinking what will be will be. Got to stay positive!! xx

Tweetypie95 · 10/04/2016 20:45

Catmum really good news about getting the ball rolling with the blood tests! Good too that they were understanding a friendly!! Just what you needed for piece of mind!!!

Nopee I still have no clue what it was... I would have missed it would it not been for wearing white underwear.. But there doesn't seem to be any more since. I did hope it was a potential period but ... nothing so far. How cruel body!! Waiting game continues! Argh!

xx

Hi ladies just thought id pop in again and see how people are getting on.

No new developments for me! Glad the tests came back normal but in a weird kinda way, if they hadnt at least I could het answers for whats going on!

A couple on this site have suggested angus castus (not sure ive spelt that right!)

Tweetypie- saw you posted another thread. The doctor i saw said to make sure you are ready to conceive as even though youve not had a period yet you can still get pregnant when your body eventually regulates again! Could go months without having af, then wham youre pregnant! Wouldnt that be nice lol xxx

piraterach · 14/04/2016 10:01

I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones that goes back to normal straight away after the pill as 1 month after my withdrawal bleed AF showed up as normal.

This month however, the witch has yet to rear her ugly head. Really annoyed as I had all the symptoms of AF grrr Angry. I'm starting to get impatient and if one more friend gets pregnant before me I might just cry (selfish I know but TTC does strange things to ppl).

Hope everyone else is having better luck!

Tweetypie95 · 18/04/2016 15:29

Yeah I know what you mean Laurabeth On one hand I would be glad to see my AF come and on the other hand I would be like “Awah no” haha. But yeah atleast you can start tracking and it now!! I just hope no more long waits for you! :)

Anyone still experiencing any coming off the pill symptoms? I’m still getting some mild pathetic ache in the lower abdomen which is what i have been getting since stopping the pill and occasionally some pains which are sharper on either side.

Thought it would have stopped by now 3 months into it! Still nothing though! Argh!

How is this first cycle going natalie?

Hey, I havent posted on here in a while... was waiting to see if anything was goig to happen! Sadly not- 5 months and still no af ggrrrrrr!!

Just wondering of anyone had any positive news or stories so I can see that there can be light at the end of the tunnell!!! Xx

Belleoftheball14 · 19/05/2016 15:08

Hey Catmum,

I'm sticking around. Had the normal period back in March after 47 days and then nothing for 48 days! So may have a REALLY long cycle. Had a really light flow since Saturday (TMI, red and gooey but only when I wipe) and it's still here, which is long - so weird! What's also strange is I have/had no period symptoms this time. Maybe was a bit irritable but no cramping. No idea what's going on!

POAS a couple of weeks ago but a BFN of course. Would've been surprised as DH and I have been really busy and only DTD a few times in the last month and I have no other would be pregnancy symptoms Sad.

Any more positive stories?

Sshsecretenclosed · 24/05/2016 19:52

Read this thread with interest. Would like to come off pill myself after nine years and ttc!

Belleoftheball14 · 24/05/2016 20:30

Even though it seems to be taking a while to settle, I def feel better being off the pill. I can feel a difference hormonally - if that's possible! Feel happier but also moodier at times too. And I have a libido!! Wink I think the pill was numbing that.
Anyone else felt a difference?

EJ1986 · 24/05/2016 21:41

Hi all. Im just trying to figure when to come off the pill. Been on for 7 years. Got married 2 months ago (been together 7 years) and bought a new house thats needed work doing. Im paying the honeymoon and a few bits off my credit card which will be gone September and house should be done then too so im psychologically pinning a lot on that being when we start trying. DH only just started saying hes ready to ttc and he is saying later this year we can start trying. I cant get him to talk much about it as he thinks im "going on about it" i have this pill pack and one more left. Do you think i will freak him out if i try to come off then and use condoms until hes ready to ttc? Is it paranoid to come off way in advance or wouldi be ok to stop then ttc straight away? Arrghh too broody to think.
