I've also been on protein shakes whilst cycling and can recommend the vanilla one from the protein works.com I went for the naked whey ones they are all natural with no nasties added. Have one of those a couple of times a day with full fat milk!

I would say try the viagra and maybe see if your clinic will let you add in some immunes like prednisone, clexane and gestone without testing. You could easily get away with saying you want to try the clexane and gestone to see if it helps with your lining. You can add in aspirin yourself then and so the only thing you would be missing is intralipids.

Thank you both, I'm just not a big meat eater so think the shakes are the way to go.

Thank you Lucie, the only thing is I don't know if they'll let me have the drugs privately on a NHS cycle. I know I can't pay extra for the embryoscope or glue. Xx

bananafish81 · 26/03/2016 18:02

Will check those out thanks lucie!

The Purition ones are all whole foods too with no nasties which I like.

I can't get NHS funding, so no experience of NHS cycles, so apols for silly question - can you get Clexane and Gestone prescribed by NHS with no diagnosed thrombophilia? Or prednisolone? My friends with recurrent miscarriage weren't able to get any immunes until they went private, as NHS doesn't 'believe' in immunes....

loopylou1984 · 26/03/2016 18:03

And banana - did you ever try caster oil packs? Something else I've read about for my lining. X

bananafish81 · 26/03/2016 18:05

Never tried them no sammy - some people suggested them but they looked distinctly woowoo and nowhere could I find any explanation of how some oily cloths slapped on your belly could improve fertility Confused

It all looked rather messy and didn't really appeal tbh.! Have you tried them? X

loopylou1984 · 26/03/2016 18:07

No, I've done heat packs (well hot water bottle) but no caster oil. It pops up everywhere that they're good, but no one actually explains how! Xx

bananafish81 · 26/03/2016 18:09

Exactly!! I just whacked a wheat bag thing in the microwave and shoved it down my waistband and hoped the heat would get some blood flow to my ovaries and lining.

That I can at least see how it's supposed to maybe do something. The castor oil- hmmmmn!! X

lucieloos · 26/03/2016 18:21

Yes that's the one Sammy. The taste is ok once you get used to it. I find it quite drinkable but obviously not as yummy as a normal milkshake! I also used 100% pomegranate juice and raspberry leaf tea to try and thicken mine this time. Don't know if they worked or if it was the estrogen but can't harm.

I don't know about getting the drugs on the NHS. Maybe or maybe not perhaps they would consider it now that you have had 2 bfns. Like i said I could probably help source some things if you wanted to give it a go but you have plenty of time to think about that.

Hi Ladies. Mind if I join? We have been married and trying for 10 months and 2 days now. I have a MMC at 11 weeks and 3 days in October. 5 months on from that no sign of another BFP.

loopylou1984 · 27/03/2016 08:45

Hi Brenna, welcome. Sorry to hear about your MMC. You're in good company here, everyone is lovely. Most of us are going through IVF of some sort now, so tonnes of knowledge amongst us if you have any questions?

Happy Easter everyone! Xx

Itsme247 · 27/03/2016 22:09

Hi Brenna, sorry for the miscarriage and for finding yourself here!

Itsme247 · 27/03/2016 22:12

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter, I've been having lots of lovely cuddles with a 5 week old and a two year old. I've only balled my eyes out once!!

The hubby has rescheduled his biz trip so we are all good for the 13th. Just really want to get started now, there's finally light at the end of the tunnel!

lucieloos · 27/03/2016 22:12

Hi Brenna, really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. This is a lovely board and you will find lots of support here.

bananafish81 · 27/03/2016 22:18

Welcome Brenna. So sorry about your loss, I had a MMC at 10 weeks just last week, I really feel for you

It's a really wonderful group of women here, couldn't ask for better support through the rollercoaster that is TTC with infertility

Hope everyone is having a lovely bank hol weekend Easter Smile

MPP81 · 27/03/2016 22:39

Welcome Brenna, though sorry you find yourself here. As the others have said, this thread is full of lovely, helpful, supportive people. :)

That's fab news, Itsme! Glad you got it sorted :)

stealthbanana · 28/03/2016 02:48

Hello everyone - happy Easter! I have been in the U.S. hanging out with my bil, sil & their adorable daughter (my niece) - have had a super fun weekend, went hiking in the mountains today, sky was blue and it was just gorgeous

Will do proper personals later but wanted to wish everyone a very happy and restful Easter! Hope the bunny has visited you all Easter Grin

BorisIsBack · 28/03/2016 07:31

Hi brenna!

Itsme, that's great news.

Waves across the pond to stealth.

Brenna24 · 28/03/2016 17:23

Thanks all for the welcome. I need to read back now and see what wonderful advice you all have given so far. No IVF for us as DH is catholic and it isn't allowed. Clomid would be ok if we need it but that is about as far as we can go. So fingers crossed I am just being lazy about getting upduffed again.

I am so sorry Bananafish. not something I would wish on anyone.

lucieloos · 29/03/2016 11:02

Hi there, it's very quiet on here at the moment! Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend.

Itsme, that's great news that your DH had managed to rearrange and go to the appt with you.

Boris, how are you feeling?

Who's up next then? Stealth, Trixie?

Haha funny you should say that Lucie. I wrote a big post about my blood results and then the sodding site went down as I posted! How are you doing?

lucieloos · 29/03/2016 11:43

Ohh no MPP that's rubbish! How did they go? Have you had them all back now?

I'm at crgw as we speak having my 2nd lot of intralipids! It's my OTD today so did another test which I found very nerve wracking but luckily it came up almost straight away with a good, strong line. Haven't managed to get hold of the NHS yet to tell them but will try again when I leave here. Not sure what the next step is whether they will make me have blood tests or just wait for scan around 7 weeks.

MPP81 · 29/03/2016 11:51

I was there this morning Lucie, to get my results. We could have arranged a coffee haha :) well, I got all the blood results but the prolactin one has confused me and Google has been fucking useless no help. Basically, my prolactin was 321 but theres a note on it saying there is 'evidence of interference in our prolactin assay' and that it indicates 'measured prolactin consists of macroprolactin AND monomeric component therefore monomeric prolactin is NOT elevated'. I've no idea what this means. Any clue? In my first post, I wrote out the whole comment, so you're spared having to read the whole thing now. :)

Other results were:

FSH - 6.1
LH - 6.0
OESTRODIOL - 51
TSH - 1.25

I've sent off the form to reprofit this morning too :)

I'm glad the test came up quickly for you! That must make you feel relieved! :)

JustTrixie · 29/03/2016 11:52

Hi, hope everyone had a good weekend. I have been taking the gap between cycles on here to have a bit of a break from thinking about TTC. Have 1 week until our nurses appointment and then expect AF a few days later then bcp for 2-3 weeks. So should all be kicking off here the last week in April- eek!

Lucie, I meant to ask, are you planning to have intralipids again? My clinic had said to have one a week before transfer and then another on a positive pregnancy test. I remember reading that the effects last 4-6 weeks though.

Welcome to the thread Brenna, sorry to hear about you MMC.

JustTrixie · 29/03/2016 11:59

Oops x post Lucie! Got distracted my the phone while I was writing my post before then didn't check for recent posts before posting. Yay for a good strong line!!
