You need to continue the utrogestan until 12-13 weeks.

Thanks again!!

loopylou1984 · 16/03/2016 22:10

That's interesting. Is that because the trigger counters out the need for estrogen? Xx

lucieloos · 16/03/2016 22:19

Yes Sammy while you're stimming the follicle growth produces estrogen so you don't need it in a normal cycle. The progesterone keeps the lining thick then. Some clinics use it for fresh cycles as well though. I have it as needed to thicken my lining more after egg collection and they have kept me on it in the 2ww.

Lucie that's good to know. Thanks

loopylou1984 · 17/03/2016 17:09

Thanks Lucie. Xx

lucieloos · 17/03/2016 17:24

How's things going Sammy? Have you had anymore symptoms? I'm 6po today and whilst the last couple of days I've had a really tender and crampy tummy which I assume is from being prodded about during transfer as too early for implantation today when implantation should be happening I have absolutely nothing at all. I feel much better than I've felt the last couple of days not tired or anything so don't feel too hopeful!

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 17/03/2016 18:00

I'm ok. Still getting cramping on and off, but I think that's the progesterone more than anything else, and my big full feeling boobs have returned more to normal, so I'm not hopeful either. Sad
Yours was day day three transfer wasn't it? So implantation could be from 3dp3dt at the earliest (6dpo) as far as I'm aware... By no means an expert though. Xx

JustTrixie · 17/03/2016 18:02

When are you planning to test Lucie? It's really early for symptoms.
Can't be much longer for you Sammy. Fingers tightly crossed for both of you.

My meds are being delivered on Saturday so it is all going to seem very real then.

BorisIsBack · 17/03/2016 18:04

Sammy my boobs felt massive at first but less so after about 5dp5dt.

Everything crossed for you both

lucieloos · 17/03/2016 18:19

Well I think implantation should be starting today as by 6po the embryo would be at least hatching or fully hatched blast today so was expecting to feel some cramping or twinges if there was something going on in there. The embryologist also told me implantation would be 2-3 days from transfer. My boobs have been quite tender the last couple of days but not so much today either. I won't be testing for at least a week yet. Probably over the bank holiday weekend as there's no point before I go back to work next week as will be too early for anything to show and then I don't want to do it on a work day and have to go into work with a bfn so will be a while yet. Don't feel hopeful at all though. It seems like most have some sort of cramping or twinges around the time of implantation.

Yay for meds arriving Saturday Trixie won't be long now. What do they have you on this time?

Sammy, everything crossed for you for Saturday. It's such a nerve wracking time. I'm dreading testing even though I'm fully expecting and prepared for a bfn.

OP posts:
JustTrixie · 17/03/2016 19:22

I thought implantation could happen up to 9dpo or even later.
I'm with you on not testing on a work day Lucie. I'm not sure about my meds, I'm assuming it will be the same as before as I gave them all the details of my cycle last year. However I had to keep my gonal f and trigger in the fridge last time and apparently nothing needs to be refrigerated this time. Could just be different advice though cos I think it's just about extending shelf life.

lucieloos · 17/03/2016 19:34

I don't think implantation would be that late on an IVF cycle. If the blast wasn't hatching by 6dpo then my clinic probably wouldn't even freeze it because it wouldn't be good enough quality so should be hatching out by today at the latest. Implantation can still be continuing by 9dpo but I think it should have started a good couple of days before then. I love your laid back approach to your treatment. I always want to know the ins and out of everything and how much meds I will be on, what type, what size the follicles are etc etc are but you just go with the flow. It's probably a much nicer place to be actually Smile

JustTrixie · 17/03/2016 20:09

I think that's the first time I've been referred to as laid back Grin

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 15:47

Haha aww you seem quite relaxed and easy going to me trixie!

Sammy, wanted to wish you lots and lots of luck with your testing tomorrow. I'm keeping absolutely everything crossed that it goes your way and this is your time.

Bananafish, been thinking about you lots. Hope you are doing ok xx

stealthbanana · 18/03/2016 17:59

Happy Friday all! Hope you are all ok and those who are gearing up to test have their nerves under control. Afm, I am slowly returning to normality again after EC although I am not yet there. But definitely on the mend. Excited it's the weekend!

loopylou1984 · 18/03/2016 18:00

Thanks Lucie. I'm wondering whether to leave testing until Sunday. We're seeing my parents tomorrow morning, and they don't know we've had a transfer. Not because they don't know about our problems, more that I didn't want them to keep asking about it. So if it's bad news I don't want them to see me upset, it will only upset them. Unless I test after we 'be visited, but of course that won't be fmu. What do you think? Xx

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 18:27

It's up to you Sammy. If it were me I know it's a little gross but I would probably keep a pot of fmu for use later or would just use afternoon urine as I know a lot have said their tests have actually come up darker with this with a frer. I would rather have that extra bit of time before going to work on Monday but just do whatever you feel is best for you and what you feel most comfortable with. Good luck xx

OP posts:
JustTrixie · 18/03/2016 18:28

Sammy could you save your fmu to test when you get back? Good luck!

Glad you're starting to feel better Stealth.

I'm a bit of a stress head usually Lucie but I guess my approach to treatment is pretty relaxed. In a strange way I think this utterly crappy fertility journey has mellowed me a bit. I'm actually less stressed about things than I was this time last year!

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 19:00

Haha yes other problems seem less significant after all with we have been through with this.

Stealth, glad to hear you are on the mend! Have a lovely weekend.

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 18/03/2016 21:31

Good plan ladies, that's what I'll do! Does it matter where you keep it? I mean it doesn't need to be refrigerated does it? Xx

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 21:36

I don't think it needs to be refrigerated. Room temp will be fine.

Shellster52 · 18/03/2016 22:26

Hello all. I used to chat to sammy on an infertility thread, but haven't seen her there in a while and wanted to come on here to see how you are doing sammy. I've noticed from the last couple of your posts that you've been through IVF and it's now testing time.

Nice to see you here too luci as I was wondering how you were getting on after you started your NHS cycle. Last I heard, you had 3 eggs but I never heard further on the other thread. So I am relieved to see that you made it to transfer. What ended up happening with those 3 eggs?

loopylou1984 · 18/03/2016 22:59

Shell! Hello!
Yes, the other thread kind of fell away.... I think I was the only one left ranting! But I missed you, lovely to see you here. Yes I'm 8dp5dt today, and think I will test tomorrow. Going to store my FMU until late tomorrow once all family commitments are out the way in case of bad news. Hope you're okay? How close are you now?

Thanks Lucie, I've found a pot and so am all set for tomorrow! Xx

lucieloos · 18/03/2016 23:06

Hi Shell, yes all ok thanks, had a day 3 transfer so just relaxing now and enjoying some time off work. Sorry I only just saw you sent me a private message for some reason they don't show up on the app and I rarely use the web version of mumsnet. Thanks for thinking of me though. Good luck Sammy x
