Wow that is absolutely amazing stealth you must be super fertile! I can't imagine you ever having to do a egg collection again. Just as well you are doing the pgs testing otherwise would take forever to work through that lot!

stealthbanana · 14/03/2016 20:27

I really hope not lucie. I feel bad even talking about it on here esp with your expectations today not going as planned and because we have been so lucky in the overall scheme of things, but I really feel sick at even the idea of ever having to do EC again. I think I'd take a full month off work if I did Grin You can't win in this stupid game!

lucieloos · 14/03/2016 20:49

Aww don't feel bad stealth I am really pleased for you it's a fantastic number. We are all different but hopefully one way or another it will work out for all of us Smile

stealthbanana · 14/03/2016 20:50

Am sure it will lucie. And today you are PUPO. Which is AWESOME!! Smile

Itsme247 · 14/03/2016 21:42

Just checking in, good luck to all those ladies PUPO.

Banana I am so sorry to hear your update, be kind to yourself to get through this very sad time.

bananafish81 · 14/03/2016 23:42

Thanks ladies - apols for lack of personals

Had the ERPC early evening. It's done. Home now. Consultant fitted me in as an emergency and got his anaesthetist to come in. He was absolutely bereft and said this was the saddest part of his job. He said his wife had had an ERPC when they had a miscarriage - meant a lot to know he had genuine empathy as well as being a kindly Dr.

They will do tissue testing on the 'products of conception'. Follow up in 4 weeks to discuss results and next steps.

Physically I'm fine. General anaesthetic was OK and I'm to expect cramping and bleeding. I'm feeling pretty numb about it and don't think it's properly sunk in. DH is utterly broken, we've both sobbed and snotted all over each other.

Not a day for the diary, in summary.

Thanks for lovely messages. Really really means so much Thanks

Ps lucie huge congrats on being PUPO, have everything crossed for you, sammy, boris and in due course stealth xxx

Star, his next SA is actually tomorrow morning. We're slightly off the 3 month mark. He's got about a week and a half left of fertilaid, so hopefully that won't make much difference now. I just didn't want to order more fertilaid if it hadn't made any difference because it's bloody expensive but I don't want him to have a gap where we have to wait for more if it's helping. Anyway, we'll find out tomorrow I suppose, but like you, I'm hoping that when he finishes the course, we'll get lucky before the wedding IVF. I've managed to book in at the same time to have the blood tests I'm missing ready for Czech. They sent me the list and there were actually a few I don't have yet. Lucie and Boris, I have a question actually. At what point do you pay them? Is there anything to pay in advance or is it all afterward?

MPP81 · 14/03/2016 23:47

Cross post with you Banana. I hope you are as ok as you can be. I've been thinking of you all day, and once again I'm so sorry xxx

lucieloos · 15/03/2016 06:43

Hi Banana, sounds like you have had an awful day. I have also been thinking about you and hoping you are ok. You will get through this.

MPP, good luck with the blood tests and sperm analysis. Let us know how you get on. There's nothing to pay upfront at the Czech clinic. After you have had your transfer they will take you off to the finance office and you pay it all then.

Banana, again I'm so very sorry what an aweful thing to happen. Your doctor sounds absolutely lovely though, I'm pleased you have him for guidance and care right now. Flowers for you. Xxx

MPP81 · 15/03/2016 10:19

Still thinking of you, Banana xx

Blood tests done and SA dropped off. DP is in meetings all day today though, so not sure when we'll hear as he may miss their call and have to phone back. Hoping his numbers have gone up, as I'd also like to know what morphology is like. There werent enough of his guys to check that on the last two.

lucieloos · 15/03/2016 10:28

Well done MPP was that all at crgw? They are normally very quick with the sperm results. What blood tests did you have done altogether?

OP posts:
MPP81 · 15/03/2016 10:36

Yeah, all at CRGW. The last SA, he had the results before he even got into work, but today he's gone straight into a meeting so no idea if he's had them yet. Blood tests, I had FSH, LH, E2, TEG, PRO and AMH. They said the AMH would take about 2 weeks to come back but I should have the others by the end of this week. I've just been looking at the rest of the form I need to fill in, and it says scan results/lining from CD13-14. My scan was on CD10. Do you think I need to arrange another one, or would those results be OK? My cycles are a little bit irregular, and go from 26-35 days, so I wondered how much difference a scan 3 days later would make. Not a big deal if I have to have another one, but any pennies saved are helpful! :)

MPP81 · 15/03/2016 10:37

TEG should be TSH! Blood autocorrect!

MPP81 · 15/03/2016 10:37

Haha and pro should be PRL!

lucieloos · 15/03/2016 10:41

MPP, no you won't need to arrange another scan. I don't think the results of that one are that important really. I can't even remember if I have them my scan results as there wasn't much to tell. Just put down what you have and if there are any problems they will let you know but I'm sure it will be fine. Good luck with all the other results. Exciting times.

Thanks Lucie! How are you feeling today, btw? :)

JustTrixie · 15/03/2016 11:02

Flowers Banana, we're all here for you.

Good luck with your results MPP.

Wales was lovely Lucie! I am feeling excited about starting treatment again but also feeling a bit nervous. Terrified of another BFN but trying to tell myself that it could take a few more goes with the immune treatment.

lucieloos · 15/03/2016 11:24

I'm feeling ok today thanks MPP, a few twinges and things which is probably from the procedure itself and hopefully my lining getting nice and thick but that's about it. Hopefully the little embie is turning into a morula today ready to become a blast tomorrow. I've had good success rates with 8 and 9 cells becoming blasts before so hopefully this one will do the same. Listened to an IVF 2ww relaxation cd before getting up this morning which was so relaxing I fell back to sleep. Feel quite calm about the whole process at the moment. We have pretty much decided now that if this one doesn't work we will go to Czech in May and have our best grade 1 hatching blast transferred so that's something to look forward to as well. We have booked a sun holiday in June so that will be a nice break as I haven't had a proper holiday for 2 years and then we will do the mini IVF in July if need be. So I have plans which I like.

Trixie, glad you had a nice time in Wales. I know what you mean about excited but nervous. We all have to remember though that a bfn isn't the end for any of us. After your NHS round I imagine you will have a whole freezer full of frosties and won't need to do any more egg collections so you can just concentrate on the transfers then. Hopefully you won't need to think about that until you want a sibling though and with all the immune treatments this will be the one where you get your bfp Smile

OP posts:
MPP81 · 15/03/2016 11:48

Lucie, that sounds like a good plan, though hopefully you won't need one! A sun holiday in june sounds good too. :)

Oooh, i missed that you were in our neck of the woods, Trixie! Glad you had a good time!

Results are in and they aren't good, unfortunately. Count is 1.6 mil, which is up by only .2, motility is 37.5% with 18.8% forward motility, and still not enough for morphology. So, it looks like fertilaid wasn't much help to us. Slightly disappointed, but at least we know, I suppose. Hopefully the proxeed works for you, Star!

lucieloos · 15/03/2016 11:55

Ahh I'm sorry to hear that MPP I know how hard you have tried. The vitamins didn't do a lot for us either so I gave up making DH take them in the end. At least you know where you are now though and can press ahead with the IVF plans. I know it's not what you wanted but it will give you a really good chance. Big hugs.

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 15/03/2016 12:43

Mpp it does sound that ivf with icsi is the way forward for you. Sorry the results were not what you had hoped. it's very exciting that for you and trixie things will be moving onwards very soon.
Lucie I like your plans...

star1980 · 15/03/2016 13:34

Urgh, mpp that is so annoying! Sorry it's not better news but as others have said these mf issues are completely bypassed by ivf/icsi so if there's no miracle in the next couple of months you can kick your Czech plan into action.

I'm not holding out much hope for proxeed if I'm honest - everything i read says it's notoriously difficult to improve sperm. My Chinese Dr reckoned she could work miracles but my OH isn't convinced and her tea tastes so foul I can't make him do it!

I've just started reading 'It starts with the egg'. Interesting reading but doesn't give me much hope (although I'm only on chapter 2!)

Hugs to you banana, your day sounds so awful. Hope you start to slowly heal emotionally soon. Much love Flowers

stealthbanana · 15/03/2016 15:11

Ah crap MPP at least you tried. The good news is that as the others have said icsi will take care of all of that for you. Your DHs sample is not at all terrible, out of that they should get some great sperm to inject. And then you're back on an even keel again.

lucie plans are great. And transferring a top quality blast is so exciting. Am hoping very much you won't need to, but a plan b makes it all that much more bearable.

trixie fx for you too

My news is that the clinic called and said that all 6 of the slow group made it to good quality hatching blasts and so they've biopsied them and added them to the freezer. So we have 20 on ice Shock Rewlly cannot believe it. Would do a happy dance if my belly wasn't so sore and I could breathe properly! PGS has ended up costing our insurer a fortune but hopefully we get a small but perfectly formed subset out of that lot.

BorisIsBack · 15/03/2016 15:20

Stealth - thank the Lord for insurance. That's such good news!
