I hate to say this but a positive on a sainsbury test is a cross not a line I think. Sorry bird :-(

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2016 18:51

So my clinic had their review meeting today. No obvious reason for why my cycle wouldn't have worked... Which doesn't really help to be honest.

Anyway, I have to call tomorrow to book my review meeting. They are open to discussing immune testing, but sadly at least 1 of the tests comes with a 6 week wait for results Sad

I knew it would be ages until we would be able to try again. Xx

DizzyMerry · 23/03/2016 18:56

I agree it doesn't help that there's no reason for it not to have worked sammy but you'll get to discuss things in more detail at your meeting. What is immune testing all about? I'm sorry you have wait a while to get going again but your time
will come Flowers

DizzyMerry · 23/03/2016 18:58

Oh I didn't know you get a cross on a sainsburys
test for it to be a positive as I've never used the blue dye ones.

Keeping my fx bird.

BorisIsBack · 23/03/2016 19:02

Sorry bird if you do need a cross for it to be possitive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sammy sorry that there is such a long wait for the inmune tests, that's such a pain. It does sound like the immune treatment is the way to go. How are you feeling? I hope the review meeting can be organised soon. Big hugs to you. Xx

Hi DizzyM - some people have a high immune response that can cause the body to reject an embryo. There are loads of tests which can be done and various medications to treat it. I might not have any issues, but if we don't do the tests then have another failed round I'll always think what if. It's a lot of money as the NHS won't touch the tests, but ultimately worth it I think.

Boris - I'm ok. I'm just sad about all the waiting. I really wanted to be a mum in 2016. And now that's not possible. Xx

Kellz92 · 23/03/2016 23:20

Genghis thank you it was :)

Sammy so sorry :(

Dizzy hope you're feeling better soon

Bird still have everything crossed

Xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 24/03/2016 01:43

Fingers still crossed for you Bird!

The waiting is crap Sammy but as you say, better to know than after another cycle. I hope the review meeting goes okay, and if it's okay with you, I'll join you with having a 2017 baby too!

Jod how did you get on with the coil removal?

lucieloos · 24/03/2016 05:58

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if there are many on here that will remember me anymore but I've been here since the beginning and just wanted to say if purdie etc are lurking that I finally got my bfp yesterday!!! 3 years since we first started ttc, 6 rounds of IVF later and a sight we never, ever thought we would see. We are over the moon although naturally cautious. Just wanted to say never, ever give up even if you have to fight for your baby you will get there in the end. It can happen Smile

Jod1985 · 24/03/2016 06:34

Hi Genghis, didn't feel a thing with coil removal! Feel great now it's out. All that worry for nothing.

Lucieloo - huge congratulations!!!!! Baby dust your way xxx

MagpieCursedTea · 24/03/2016 08:40

Lucie massive congratulations! Thanks

Jod really glad the removal went well, hope you get that BFP soon!

Genghis hope your international blood tests come back soon. Have you finished your dye shopping now?

Sammy all the waiting is frustrating (I totally didn't mean to rhyme then...) you might not be in the right headspace for it but I would try to plan some treats for yourself over the next few weeks to try and have some distraction.

DizzyN I hope you're feeling better today?

Bird blue dye tests are confusing! Have you taken another test today?

How's everyone else doing?
My bleeding seems to have stopped though I won't be surprised if I get a bit of spotting today. Hopefully that will be it though. I've got an acupuncture session this afternoon which I'm looking forward to.

DizzyMerry · 24/03/2016 09:49

Lucie that's brilliant!!! Huge congratulations and thanks for popping back to update it gives the rest of us hope Flowers

That's interesting sammy and I never knew such tests existed. Definitely worth going for.

Jod so pleased it went well. Good luck with your ttc journey. Fx it's a short one.

Magpie fx that's the end of AF and enjoy your acupuncture. I have mine next week and I've also booked reflexology. May as well try everything!

We tried for over 3 years with DD and I always set myself goals/aims and of course I never met them but the moment I got my bfp it just made it all worth while. We'll all get there sometimes it takes a huge struggle though we will see the light at the end of this tunnel.

birdboo · 24/03/2016 11:26

It was another bfn this morning, the day AF is due. No normal signs of an appearance though. I have ewcm this morning but it had milky spots in, which isn't normal but the ewcm a day before is. Blush. I'm also feeling ready to pounce on DH when normally everything he does makes me want to punch him.

Sorry for all the confusion. I feel so frustrated; I have had no feed back on my stage of endometriosis dispite asking and begging. So I don't know if it's that, a blocked tube or just crappy timing.

DizzyMerry · 24/03/2016 11:33

I'm so sorry bird as I initially thought it was positive. I would go to see your GP and not move until they give you some answers. They should have received the report from your consultant and you're entitled to know what's going on. They shouldn't leave you in limbo like this.

Kirjava · 24/03/2016 11:40

lucie amazing news! Massive congratulations to you lovely!

nightandthelight · 24/03/2016 11:44

Congratulations Lucie, so happy for you!

I am so sorry that your cycle didn't work out Sammy and that the tests will take a while :( Keeping everything crossed for you!

Jod1985 · 24/03/2016 12:10

Bird it sounds to me like you are ovulating now?! Get pouncing

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 24/03/2016 12:36

Lucie congratulations again! I really am so happy for you and your DH. Wishing you a wonderful and straightforward 9 months xx

Uurgh Bird so annoying. Hopefully AF stays away for you.

DizzyM I didn't realise you had tried for 3 years before your DD...did you go for tests before your conceived her? And yes to your positive thinking - we will all get there.

Great news Jod! Now to get upduffed sharpish Grin. I hope your BFP arrives very soon.

Magpie I've decided on a purple dye - I think it will go very well with my insides Wink. Good news that AF has departed - roll on OV!

Hope you're doing okay Sammy?

No news from me but am off camping in wifi-less wilderness for Easter so talk to you all next week. PS. Am very jealous of anyone eating hot cross buns especially toasted with butter

BorisIsBack · 24/03/2016 13:01

Bird, I get EWCM right before AF arrives, she normally comes 12 hours later. Sorry for bfn. As dizzym says, make them work out what's going on with you.

genghis enjoy your break sounds wonderful.

chopsface · 24/03/2016 13:47

sammy do you know what the immune tests involve? We do cd56 and cd138 in my lab on endometrial biopsies for natural killer cells. Is that what they'd do or is there something else?

Lucie congratulations!

birdboo · 24/03/2016 14:06

Genghis. Enjoy your break. It sounds perfect.

Boris & Dizzy Thank you for the support. Part of me wishes I was still in blissful ignorance. We've only been trying for 4 cycles (which I know is nothing) but at the back of my mind I know that even stage one endo can cause long term problems and further investigations can start after 6 months of ttc. DH keeps calling it wanking in the dark.

The plus side is that I can go help out at our local beer festival without having to avoid beer and think of a reason why I wouldn't be touching free beer.

DizzyMerry · 24/03/2016 17:29

Ghengis I had loads of fertility tests before DD. I had a diagnostic lap as they couldn't complete
the HSG. They discovered severe endo that fused my tubes shut and an 8cm cyst on one of my ovaries. They managed to remove it all. We conceived DD after the first IVF consultation. Your weekend sounds fantastic. I really want a hot cross bun now!

Bird I agree with your DH as that is exactly what happened to us and I had no symptoms of endometriosis. Though I did have heavy periods but I thought that was normal. 4 months may not be a lot compared to 1 or 2 years but now that you know you have endo and that it could be delaying conception push for some answers if only to reassure you of what stage it's at and whether it is affecting your chances to
conceive Flowers

Beansprout30 · 24/03/2016 22:50

Congratulations such amazing news x

Beansprout30 · 24/03/2016 22:50

Lucie!!

MagpieCursedTea · 25/03/2016 08:08

Bird sorry for the bfn, I also get a bit of EWCM before AF sometimes. Enjoy the beer! Definitely get some answers from your doctor. It's hard to deal with something when you don't know what you're up against.

Genghis enjoy your camping trip! If it makes you feel any better, I won't be having any hot cross buns either due to my stupid diet.

DizzyM reflexology sounds interesting, you'll have to let me know what it's like.

I had a bit of spotting yesterday and feel a bit crampy this morning but no more full on bleeding. I'm so worried that I'll just get continuous bleeding again. My acupuncture session was good though.
I might be a bit quiet over the weekend as we have friends staying but will try to pop in. Have a good Easter everyone!
