She didn't say much she was in shock I think! She was very happy though :o They're going away for a few days with some friends tomorrow so mum will probably be grinning like a cheshire cat all weekend. She said she wouldn't tell anyone but I guess she will tell the friends, but that's ok as I hardly know them. She won't tell any family.

Ahhhh how lovely! Am sure my parents will keel over when I tell them assuming (which I mustn't) that everything is okay at the 12 week scan. I think they've given up on me - I've never been interested in babies/children, have never expressed a wish to have one, and they have no idea we've been trying.

Gah, just had the most prolonged and violent vomming session. My eyes are completely bloodshot and have burst blood vessels on my eyelids and eyebags. Have got my head down hoping no one notices - hope no one heard me either. I only ate a chicken sandwich and some carrots & hummus! Confused Harsh.

keepitgoing · 23/03/2016 16:18

Oh poor you imps, I've heard weeks 9/10 are the worst then it'll ease, so you're nearly through it...

How lovely beedle...

I am in shock that the three of us are diffed. Brooking so hard it will be OK for us all

loopy and trix you'll be not far behind. Way too early trixy, but you know that :)

Imps9 · 23/03/2016 16:30

I read that too Keep Smile Have just consoled myself with a Twix - at least that will taste nice if it comes back up.

I can't believe it either Keep - it's been a brilliant start to 2016, what with 4 sticky BFPs. God I hope so much that they all result in healthy babies.

cartoontrickster · 23/03/2016 20:15

Yes should have waited!
imps poor you! You have got it bad, fingers crossed it eases soon.

Oh I really hope we all can move to antenatal soon! Will the ttc brooking threads die though??

Pastamancer · 23/03/2016 20:56

I'll follow you wherever you go wishing I could TTC

Imps9 · 24/03/2016 06:34

What peestick news today Trix and what eggstick news Loops??

Morning to everyone else

Imps9 · 24/03/2016 06:35

Oh and Pasta - you can TTC. You just have to TTC. Simples.

Pastamancer · 24/03/2016 06:49

Have a word with dh then as he says 2 is enough

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 24/03/2016 07:15

Happy accident for the third pasta? Wink

Didn't ovulate yesterday but based on how uncomfortable I am I think it will pop today.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/03/2016 07:49

imps hope you're not feeling too rough today, does work know yet or are you hiding it from everyone?

loopy hope that egg pops soon

I've just spoken to a midwife, I have my booking-in appointment on the 11th and some blood tests on the 21st.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 24/03/2016 08:56

"2 is enough" indeed. Piffle! We'll sort him out for you.

Happy egg day Loops. Brooking brooking brooking.

No one at work knows Beedles - we'll tell no one at all until dating scan is done and dusted.

Hope you're having a fab holiday Keep and didn't have a 5am start today. Just 7 more days to wait.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/03/2016 09:15

I sent mrb an sms about the appointment, just for context I am home today waiting for our new sofa to be delivered. He replied "any news about the sofa?" Good to see where his priorities lie :o

I think I need to get him a book on pregnancy, he didn't understand why the dr said I was 7 weeks pregnant yesterday! Considering we've been trying for 5 years you'd think he might have picked a few things up!

OP posts:
Imps9 · 24/03/2016 09:25

Mr Imps is the same. He did buy a Dummies guide to pregnancy for dads before I had the MC 18 months ago, which I tentatively got out of hiding for him yesterday. I'm not sure how much of it he will retain though Grin

Pastamancer · 24/03/2016 09:36

We use withdrawal method of contraception so no chance of that as DH controls it.

Brooking for you Loopy we seem to be having a fab run of luck at the moment on here so fingers crossed it will keep going

Imps9 · 24/03/2016 09:42

Hmmmm, we intended to use that method about 7 weeks ago and look where we ended up!

Imps9 · 24/03/2016 09:53

Hooray! My promotion has been officially approved!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/03/2016 10:15

Woohoo, well done you imps now you can tell them you'll be taking maternity leave at the end of the year! Do you get a good maternity package?

Our new sofa has arrived :o I've unpacked it but I can't manage the last bit of the assembly until mrb gets home.

I'll have a look at that book and maybe order it for mrb

OP posts:
Imps9 · 24/03/2016 11:40

Package is statutory only Beedles!! They have great benefits here, but don't extend them to family-friendly benefits. Tbh that's more and more the norm these days in law firms - it's only the massive ones that tend to pay enhanced mat/pat/shared parental leave.

cartoontrickster · 24/03/2016 11:51

Bless them men have no clue do they!
loopy hope that's your golden egg

Today's News is also bfn probably still too soon but figured I'd started so may as well carry on!

Imps9 · 24/03/2016 11:54

As Keep pointed out when I was last testing Trix, it's good to have a baseline negative to work up from. There will be a line tomorrow, that is 100% guaranteed.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/03/2016 12:10

That's a bit rubbish imps I thought you might get a bit of a better deal, perhaps you should negotiate one with your promotion!

I know its good here but I'm not sure what we actually get, maybe its time to find out, and then start negotiating with mrb how we're going to share it between us!

Keep going trix there's a positive stick waiting for you

OP posts:
Imps9 · 24/03/2016 13:05

I think the firm takes the view that it's better to plough its budget into benefits that everyone can always benefit from, rather than only those who have children. Makes sense to me. Plus I've just discovered that I now get an extra 5 days' holiday per year! Whoop!

cartoontrickster · 25/03/2016 06:29

Today's pee stick results - inconclusive

cartoontrickster · 25/03/2016 06:40

Can anyone see anything??
