Been to see the dr and got a prescription for a new inhaler. Still feeling quite rubbish so I'm now back in bed. Mrb is at work, but he's not too far away if I decide that I'm dying!

trix it's really tough when everyone is getting diffed around you, but you'll get there.

I'm still feeling crap, spent more of last night coughing and blowing my nose than sleeping.

In case any of you have been under a rock today, big news from the Prof's at Coventry today that hopefully is the start of ending miscarriage for the majority. I was one of the 183 that let them use my sample for research and hoping this works out, and also hoping I can somehow get access to the diabetes drug in question. Have established it isn't metformin so must be one of the gliptins, but don't know which one yet or what dose would be needed or for how long..

Hope you are feeling better soon beedle.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/03/2016 13:56

Sorry you're still feeling ill loopy hope you get better soon.

I saw that news, sounds really promising though I think they said it could be 5 years before they have a "cure" I think that would probably be a bit late for us. But if this one doesn't work out I definitely want to go to Warwick for testing.

I'll have to have a look at that update. It'll be interesting to see how far their research incorporate MFI being a cause of RMC.

Gosh I've been so sick today. Hopefully none of my colleagues have noticed my frequent and long trips to the bathroom.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/03/2016 16:38

Beedle they will be starting the trials next month, which is when Tommys starts funding their work. They are doing 2 years of trials, then there will be 3 years of larger scale trials and then hopefully if it shows the results they hope they will then be able to roll it out to everyone. So it might not be too late for people ttc now, as long as people are eligible for the trials. Not seen anything suggesting a criteria as yet and as Coventry sees people well into their 40's I am hopeful their trials will be open to all.

Imps am so pleased to hear you are being sick, baby must be getting comfy and settled in there x

BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/03/2016 08:35

The thing is with trials some people have to be the control group and not get treatment, knowing my luck that would be me. In fact has been me for the PGS trial.

Sorry about all the vomming imps hopefully no-one has noticed.

Still ill here. I gad the most intense womb pain last night for about 15 mins. I was laying on the bathroom floor because I thought I was going to faint. I was about to wake mrb and get him to take me to the hospital when it eased off. I'm waiting to speak to the clinic to see if its anything to worry about - obviously I'm a bit worried but hopefully its nothing.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 09/03/2016 09:24

Oh Beedles that sounds scary and sore. Was it crampy pain? Everything's moving about and getting bigger so I'm sure it must be that. Good idea to check with clinic though - let us know what they say.

I am embracing the sickness - I don't mind it at all. The only frustration is that all the healthy nutritious food I eat during the day comes back up, and by the time I leave work I'm so ravenous that I end up getting a burger just so I can eating something straightaway. Oh well.

Who's next to drop an egg then?

keepitgoing · 09/03/2016 09:52

Oh gosh beedle that's scary, maybe they can give you an early scan, I had one at 5 weeks in Thailand you could see yolk sac and where it was based

I'm super snotty today. Surrounded by tissues. Dh on strike...

imps so what's next for you? Are you going to get more intrallipids at 8 weeks? Have you called your gp yet? You need your booking appt by 10 weeks - time to get things moving...?

trix are you gearing up for shag week? All my NCT got pg vv quickly, exactly when wanted (or unplanned...), it's hard. As you say it's not been long though, and this is your month!

Imps9 · 09/03/2016 10:12

Remind me how far you are now Beedles? It's nearly 6 weeks isn't it?

I have another drip booked for this Fri and will also go to GP. Then we're on holibobs until 21 March (when hopefully I'll be 9 weeks), so I'll have to have MW appt that week. I have my next scan on 22 March.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/03/2016 10:39

I'm only 5+3 imps, it seems like years though.

I'm going in for a scan tomorrow afternoon, she thought it could be a small cyst on my ovary that had burst or something. She said they wouldn't be able to see the pregnancy but I know from googling we should see something - though not a heartbeat. Really hoping its nothing bad as tomorrow is mrb's birthday, that would just be extra crap.

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 09/03/2016 11:03

Not till tomorrow.... Yes you will see sth but not the baby just the yolk sac I think

Imps9 · 09/03/2016 11:12

God time goes so bloody slowly doesn't it? Yes, a cyst seems likely esp if the pain has gone now and you've not had any bleeding. Will be interesting to see what the scan shows!

cartoontrickster · 09/03/2016 12:18

Yep getting ready ! have used to ov sticks so far no smiley. But have had a Shag anyway. I have a slight fear that I'm not ovulating at the moment though.

Imps9 · 09/03/2016 12:22

Why do you think that Trix?

keepitgoing · 09/03/2016 19:06

Yes why trix?

Girls I've had diarrhoea today, do you think I should worry / call the mw??

cartoontrickster · 09/03/2016 20:17

Not sure keep, make sure you are hydrated, maybe ring for some advice if your not sure.

I think it's mostly just one of these stupid ideas I get in my head, but it was the slightly irregular periods, no postive opk so far (i have only used them last month and just started testing this month) and I just don't feel like I am.

Imps9 · 09/03/2016 22:14

I wouldn't think there's a need to worry Keep unless you're dehydrated/have a temperature? Maybe best call the MW for some advice/reassurance.

Do you normally have strong signs of ov Trix? I think it's quite normal not to ov every month without there being anything amiss. The digi eggsticks should help figure it out this month, and if you don't think you have ov'd, maybe Clomid would help?

How is your fever Beedles?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/03/2016 06:38

keep I'd say call the midwife if you're worried, though I'm sure everything is fine

imps no fever anymore just rivers of snot coming out of my nose and fits of coughing. So even if I wasn't being scanned today I doubt I would have gone to work today. Maybe tomorrow.

Trying not to stress about the scan, if there is anything wrong I'd rather find out now.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 10/03/2016 07:26

What time's your scan?

I say deffo don't go to work tomorrow - have some proper time to recuperate. No one takes sufficient sick leave these days in my view.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/03/2016 07:46

Its at 13:15 my time, but don't expect any news until I get home which will be a while after that!

I probably should take tomorrow off, I probably wouldn't be sick if 1 of my colleagues hadn't come back to work still coughing and sneezing.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 10/03/2016 09:26

Why wouldn't they tell you what they can see on the scan while you're there?

You are not to go into work tomorrow - Imps Orders.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/03/2016 09:36

They'll tell us, I just mean I won't be able to let you lot know until I get home :o I assume that we'll be able to see the screen anyway. Perhaps I should take a large mirror with me in case they try to turn the screen away from us!

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 10/03/2016 10:19

beedle you are deffo to stay home and rest! Good luck with the scan.

Still no smiley this morning, imps I would some times feel ov pains and I can't think I've been noticing much in the way of mucus lately. Not sure whether to see the doc or wait a bit because it might all just be in my head.

How are you keep? Any better?

Imps9 · 10/03/2016 10:28

Oh I seeeeeeee!! We shouldn't expect any news, not you Grin

The consultant who did our scan didn't let us see the screen at first, but she did tell us what she saw when she saw it. She wasn't the warmest or most empathetic person I've ever met, but at least she offered us another scan.

Pastamancer · 10/03/2016 10:36

When I had scans the screen was initially turned away. I think it is so that they can make sure that they have got the scanner in the right place and that everything looks ok first and to count how many are there
