Wondering if anyone wants a buddy?
I'm ttc #2 (DD 13m)
Just finishing AF and embarking on cycle 2

Come shove 2 fingers to the back of the witch and let's count down to O and POAS psychotically in a few weeks...

I'm going all out this month with SMEP, pressed, EPO, OPKs....

I've just checked back on Ovia and I got BFP on either 11 or 12 dpo last time, which was CD26. Today is 8dpo and CD21 so may I should try and not poas just yet... I have had some slight pink tinged cm this morning, not normal for me and especially not at CD21 so wondering if something is happening, plus having strange niggly pains in my left side. All I can do is hope!

Thanks Mmm, I'm usually so bubbly (according to everyone else!) but I just feel so flat. This morning, I just wanted to stay in bed snuggled up to dp for the whole day. Was a struggle to get out of bed. I know I will cheer up a bit when I get home and see dp. Think maybe just need to get finished at work so can concentrate on enjoying our holiday.

Hope the offending ball does get sorted pronto! What CD are you now?
I never knew anything about all these foods that are supposed to be good for you when TTC. Going to be getting some of those brazil nuts asap!! Can understand you wanting to avoid July/August as birth months, will you stop TTC completely to avoid them and then restart once they've passed?

I would love it if we all got our sticky BFP's really close together Smile, that would be ace. Let's have faith!!

Hope Drmum, Mimi and Ohno are all ok.

iwillbemrsminty · 01/06/2016 14:14

Ooh Mmm I meant to ask dear, I am taking Boots own brand of folic acid and vitamin d supplement - is this enough of should I try one of the special TTC ones instead? Sorry if a daft question, just want to get it right as i wasn't taking it before when I had the chemical and been wondering whether it would have been a sticky bean if I had been. Probably not but ....

MmmMalbec · 01/06/2016 14:53

Oh well that sounds promising then. Is this a shorter cycle than usual then? What is your usual cycle length? Maybe it is all a bit hormonal, hope so for you! Definitely focus on your holiday.

Haha thanks! DH would love to know I'm discussing his balls online haha! Only CD12, so on the way but still not in the business end of things for a while. Yawn.

Yeah it would be lovely to all get BFPs together. I didn't really contribute to the pregnancy bus last time, I found it all a bit too fast paced. Much prefer groups like this where everyone actually talks properly!

Haha sorry to get you into the silly wives tales!! Hmm it's a difficult one. Guess it depends what you believe. The NHS says folic acid and vitamin d is all you need. But conception websites often say it's difficult to get enough of what you need from your diet unless you're really really good. I got my BFP last time on the first month of using the seven seas vitamins but it might have just been pot luck. I started taking them and then had a 41 day cycle so went back to folic acid (this was pre TTC, when we were deciding when to start), but after having a dodgy period last month I decided to go back on them. My logic at the minute is that if I don't get pregnant for ages then I'll wonder what if I'd have taken them. So really I guess it's down to you and your mentality.

Yeah I'm an August birthday and I hated it growing up, so I always said I wouldn't do that to my child! But I might be being dramatic and I might feel differently if we've still not conceived by then! It's also a bit time pressured with me being a SAHM, I don't really want to be off work for absolutely ages so a smaller age gap would be better. I know it doesn't always work like that though!!

ohnonotanother1 · 01/06/2016 22:22

I don't have enough battery left for anything more than a quick update but I've come away for a few days, think I'm due to ov thur or fri and haven't brought my opks! This is a massive result for me! Back home tmrw so I'm going to try and avoid opks and actively try and dtd tmrw and Friday!

Waving to everyone Smile

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 07:46

Definitely sounds like you're in with a chance then ohno! Hope you manage to have a relaxing few days away.

I'm debating buying some conceive plus. I don't know why. Again possibly to feel like I'm doing all I can. It's bloody expensive though. The only place that seems to do click and collect is lloyds pharmacy and it's £15 a tube there!! I don't want to risk ordering from Amazon in case it takes ages to come. As we'll be starting the serious DTD from Sunday onwards. I ordered some last time I was TTC when j was convinced my period was coming and then got my BFP later so by the time it came I was already bloody pregnant! I don't know, I'll mention it to DH later.

Hope every one is ok Smile

So excited I can't even type properly! Any way, yes I am very very pleased for you!! What will your due date be?! Have you had many symptoms you've been keeping a secret in case it's in your head?! Ah great news mate GrinGrin

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 07:53

I can actually see it clearer on the none inverted one!!!!

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 07:54

Oh actually on second look I can see it on the inverted one clearly as well. Sorry my tired eyes aren't functioning!! Oh I'm so happy for you. I'll perform some kind of sticky bean dance to the fertility gods for you later Grin

iwillbemrsminty · 02/06/2016 07:59

Thankyou!!!! Although need to keep a calm head after the chemical. Early days. But. Eeeeeeeeeek! Xxx

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 08:13

Yeah, try not to let it stop you from being excited though! I spent so much of my pregnancy feeling worried and it was miserable. Start as you mean to go on!!xx

iwillbemrsminty · 02/06/2016 09:04

I'm going to try!! I haven't even told DP yet as he had already gone to work and I didn't even plan on testing til tomorrow! Ok so now I've got to work and not on the phone app, I've done the calculator things and it reckons I'm 3 weeks exactly and Mini Minty would be due 16th Feb 2017!

It's so ironic, last night DP and I were chatting about how long it might take and due to our age, I said if we havent conceived in the new few months we should go to the doctors! He also asked me what I thought we were doing wrong, bless him! xxx

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 09:27

Eeek!! When are you planning on telling him?! What made you test a day early?! If you're 9dpo you'll be 3+2 today won't you?

Aw bless him, it is really hard not to think it's your fault but it's clearly just one of those things isn't it, and you've now conceived twice in 5 months is it?! So that's good going!!xx

ohnonotanother1 · 02/06/2016 09:35

Omfg that is so exciting!!!!!!!!!!! We did say we were due some Bfps soon! I have everything crossed and will share some more excitement when I'm not in a mad rush packing to go home while the kid is asleep!

Sqweeee!

ohnonotanother1 · 02/06/2016 09:36

Also did you have any symptoms!?

iwillbemrsminty · 02/06/2016 09:53

I don't even know why I did it! Ovia says to test in 3 days and says AF due on 10 June. I only had a very very faint line at 12 dpo last time so I hope this is a good sign! I have gone on when I think I ov'd going by my positive opk and then put my last period date into the calculator. My last AF was a strange 1 day one starting on 12th May. Maybe that's something to do with it.

I aren't sure whether to say anything to him or not tonight, what I would have totally loved was to give him a little present on Father's day! But keeping it to myself that long .... Hmm doubt it!

Symptoms, I've been having headaches, prickly and tender boobs but that's about it really. Oh, as my posts from yesterday say, very emotional and weepy, up and down moods. Even dp commented on that on Monday.

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 12:06

Hmm yeah hard to say minty. To be fair though the midwife will go off your LMP and then your scan will give you a definite date so it doesn't matter too much really I guess!! My DH reckons one of my first symptoms was an emotional breakdown haha! Yeah Father's Day is aaaaaages off, plus not sure how you'd get away without drinking on holiday?! I think it's a bit mean as well, especially if he's worrying a little bit!!

Aw so pleased for you. Will you keep doing the FRERs you have left?!

Yeah I think we are still due some more BFPs this month for sure Grin

iwillbemrsminty · 02/06/2016 12:25

Thank you Smile. I think I'll do another Saturday morning, when hopefully my lines will have darkened. Plus that's holiday day! Yes I think you're right about telling dp, I'll tell him tonight Grin. He'll be very wary though as it's so early. And we've both been doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred dvd, wonder if I should keep doing it or not? It is quite intense and we are doing level 3 too Hmm may lay off that and go walking instead.

Enough about me now, how's everyone else doing? How far away is your shagathon now Mmm? Any update on the ball issue? Blush. When does your dad arrive Ohno? And I hope you're doing ok Drmum and AF isn't being too much of a bitch. Excited about a fresh cycle for you Smile.

Sending hugs to mimi, hope you are ok xxx

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 12:39

Sounds like a good plan. Not long to wait at all then! I'd probably not bother with the intense DVD if I was you and just go for a nice instead. Might not do any harm but I don't think I'd risk it?! I have heard good things about that DVD though!!

DH is off to the doctors this afternoon so should know the ball situation in a few hours!! Well we have done every other day since weekend but the proper shagathon will start from Sunday at CD16. Hoping to do 16,18,20,22,24,26 and that should be enough. BUT if I have a vitamin lengthened cycle I will just have to keep going until the EWCM has gone. Will possibly do OPKs from Sunday too which might help. I'll see how I feel anyway! What days did you do?! With DS I OVed on cd22 and we had DTD on 21 and 23, so maybe I'll reassess my above days Hmm , ah I dunno. Will see what happens this afternoon and take it from there!xx

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 12:40

That's meant to say nice walk!!!

DrMum83 · 02/06/2016 12:57

Aaaarrrgghh!! OMG yes!!!! A BFP!!! Congrats minty!! So exciting!!! What a lovely thing just before your hol!! How are you gonna tell DH?! I'm so glad there a bfp on this thread! Feels like we've been here forever. I have a good feeling all will be well, you deserve it!!

AF is very light, just spotting really - not sure what's going on...

Hi to the others!! Not long now til your shagathon malbec! hope the ball situation is shorted, maybe his sperm production is in overdrive and that's why he's aching! Glad timings have worked out for you ohno!!
