Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>Kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>'something'</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a <strong>hooya</strong> = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Just I'm seething with envy at your epic holiday plans. Have you won the lottery? Is that the secret that will out you? I'm almost tempted to join the Facebook group though I never use Facebook :)

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 16:16

Yep you got me london, swimming in millions here, just off to order my yacht now Wink

Join, I rarely use it either but nice to put names to faces. PM me your email address if you want to

FuzzyOwl · 16/02/2016 16:42

I agree with the other advice angela and would temp for a cycle or two as that is the only way to know if you are icing. Some women doesn't seem to get strong positives on OPKs and others have a really short surge so hopefully it just didn't pick it up but you did ice and DTD enough.

stumbly any specific bbt thermometer will do the job but it needs to go down to two decimal places. Will see if I can find which one I have.

corgi88 · 16/02/2016 17:40

angel if you have subclinical hypothyroidism you should be treated until your TSH is less than 2. I had my neck irradiated for lymphoma when I was in med school and now my thyroid is slowing down as a result. My TSH was 5.08 at my pregnancy booking bloods, so I started thyroxine after the mc. I've just gone up to 50micrograms. No longer constipated whoo!

corgi88 · 16/02/2016 17:42

stumbly just london I now really want a holiday after all this holiday chat!!! can't decide though: Vietnam or Belize or somewhere like the Bahamas or Seychelles?

angelazul · 16/02/2016 18:01

Thanks for that Corgi some GPs seem to better than others at understanding & treating it, I've had some who were amazing, some who were terrible, current GP is somewhere in between. I presume if I ring GP surgery they'll be able to tell me what tsh level was at last blood test?

Canters15 · 16/02/2016 18:02

Just had another little bit of spotting so think AF must be about to arrive. What a tease!!

On the subject of holidays, I'm going to Malta next weekend! Getting quite excited!

Seychelles all the way corgi! Lie on a beach and have some random waiter bloke bring you cocktails! Ie impossible post babies...

MyBlackCat · 16/02/2016 19:44

Ooooooooh holiday chat Grin

I've managed to book a short sneaky ski trip in a couple of weeks for four days with family and if the snow doesn't melt DH and I may go first week of April too.

We plan a week in the sun somewhere in the summer and some winter sun in October. Basically don't do anything too fancy so we can go away lots Grin

I'd love the Maldives though.

Tmi - I'm basically drowning in ewcm - I always assumed this was the jizz falling out but it can't be this time, never knew I got so much Shock would be a bloody miracle if upduffed this month.

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:00

I'm hoping you do black, would be great story if you got pregnant with dh away!

I've got the jizz two days in a row Grin

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:01

That actually sounded really insensitive following your post black, sorry!

Kwick709 · 16/02/2016 21:10

Evening viroids! Bear with me as I get caught up... am on page 25

coribeth I am so pleased your new job is ace. I hope you sleep better tonight.

Sorry the bitch got you zyla

London sorry to come in so late but I have been to some of the places on your list - so here are my two pennies worth:
*San Sebastian: I love this place - did you know there are over 400 Pinxo bars in the old town - where you can sample amazeballs pinxos (basque version of tapas)... there is some stunning countryside too.

  • Tuscany: not been for a while but have very fond memories of visiting Florence, Piza and Sienna - great food and wine - what more could you want?!
  • Andalusia - Grenada / Seville: Seville is my most favourite city in the world and Andalucia is my favourite Spanish region - I used to live in Seville and last summer I went back - the city has changed a lot but has lost none of its magic. It can get hot (45C-50C in August).. I think the best time to go is in May - the orange blossom should still be out and the festivities of Easter and the April Fair (Feria) are over - which cause prices to soar. Granada is amazing too... but Seville is my fav! If you do end up going there let me know and I can send you a list of must dos!!!

I heard some very interesting news about Zika today... apparently it may not actually be the cause of the deformities - this could be caused by some nasty pesticides which a major producer (Montesantos) used - that is why the deformities have been localised to an area of Brazil and not to all the areas where Zika is.

Kwick709 · 16/02/2016 21:18

So I had a lovely bath... what a joy!!! Especially as I used some of the Jo Malone bubble bath I got for Christmas Grin

I am desperately waiting for af to make an appearance... if she does not come like NOW all my IVF timings will be out of whack and embryo transfer may coincide with me having to be on a business trip... fuckerty fuck!!! I am trying to keep calm but failing miserably!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:50

I'm doing a rain af dance for you kwick, actually I'm not, I'm going to sit here and believe I am pregnant as that usually works for me so hopefully will work for you Grin

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:51

Ooh very Envy about your Jo Malone bath

stumblymonkey · 16/02/2016 21:51

Oooh...Jo Malone bubble bath...treattastic!

Well I went to SW today...am feeling super motivated BUT their scales weigh me in at a stone more than the gym's scales giving me a BMI of roughly 572. Sad

Not going to dwell though as the only thing that matters now is the weight change each week!

stumblymonkey · 16/02/2016 21:53

So my BMI is now 41.4

Sad times.

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:53

I suggest you get your best underwear on kwick

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 21:54

You can't have a bmi of that stumbly I've seen your photo on fb. Yet more evidence of why bmi is useless.

Have I missed chat recently? chat you out there? You ok?

Kwick709 · 16/02/2016 22:01

LOL just appreciate the virtual rain dance. Does having good underwear on bring on af? I dont really have any best anymore... but am wearing comfy grannie knickers without any protection - surely that could trigger?

Blimey how is it 10pm??? I have just spent 2 hours catching up on Mumsnet!!!

I plan to go to SW tomorrow...

Night night my lovelies!

stumblymonkey · 16/02/2016 22:06

Night kwick...put some clean white sheets on...that should help!

I should get off to bed also....night viroids!

Oh and just...my FB photo crops out the fat bits which is everything from the neck downGrin

Ain626 · 16/02/2016 22:14

I've got 2 days of chat to catch up on...

Sorry to still be on a bit of a downer. I could really do with a hug. My grandad has been admitted in to hospital again. This is the third time so far this year, and we're only what, 6 weeks in. I'm so scared for him.

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 22:16

Ha ha stumbly you're gorgeous.

I wouldn't know kwick as I don't own any! I have heard talk of it though from better dressed friends Grin

I'm watching walking dead for first time...I don't know why as I'm a total wimp and will probably never sleep again. Felt I had to give it a go as everyone keeps saying how amazing it is. They are right, it is but I don't know if I can watch it as I'm so on edge!

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 22:18

ain massive hugs to you. It's so worrying isn't it. My dad is not well at the moment, suspected cancer so I know what you're going through. Here to hand hold Thanks

justtheonethen · 16/02/2016 22:19

ain at least it's half term Smile
