Nurse I've spent so much time in shops and online debating whether to get one of those monitors but I've read so much about them not being great for irregular cycles that it put me off. The best thing is just to keep DTD as much as you can, easier said than done though! Also, trust your CM over the tests.

Shell actually having hope does make things more stressful. I've got everything crossed for you!

Drew not sure about the cm, but no AF must be a good thing!

FrazzleRock · 01/04/2016 21:41

magpie Thank you. I've been feeling ok lately, amazing how that raw emotion can come zooming back so easily. All it took was a scan photo.
With charting though, doesn't PCOS give us false LH spikes? I just remember my charts always being like the rocky mountains. How do you know what's a false spike and what's an actual ovulation spike?
It's why I gave up eventually. It was driving me bonkers.
That IS early, that's almost as early as my stupid cycles at the moment. PCOS is a fucking horrid thing to have. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Shell My cycles were always around 120 days, saved a fortune on tampons Wink. I'm making up for it now though, I'm getting through tampons like lightning Angry. I hope this is it for you, it's so hard not to get a little bit excited

Shellbell0403 · 01/04/2016 21:46

Drew I seem to have a lot more cm too and also white sometimes... goes between clear like water and white? Xx

DrewOB1 · 01/04/2016 21:48

Yeah!

MagpieCursedTea · 01/04/2016 22:40

I didn't release LH could cause a change is temps, that might explain the rocky patterns I get! It does show on my charts when I ovulate though, I only know because it was clear when I ovulated on Clomid and I also got high enough temps for FF to pick up a shift when I was on norethisterone. Having PCOS definitely makes ovulation detection harder though.

bananafish81 · 01/04/2016 22:45

LH shouldn't affect temps - the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility shows around the time of the surge many women have pre ovulatory dips in temps if anything?!

In terms of how you know when to test with long cycles, temping is one way to confirm if ovulation has occurred, so AF would be expected roughly 14 days later. It's best to use CM as a guide to when to start OPKs - although they are not always reliable for PCOS.

My Dr said irregular cycles make it hard to pinpoint ovulation exactly as you say, and make it hard to time intercourse and detect a missed period. Obviously also the longer your cycles the less opportunity you have to actually be in with a chance of conceiving.

So he said he'd recommend Clomid asap to try to ensure ovulation and regulate irregular cycles.

DrewOB1 · 02/04/2016 11:33

Hey Shell! Any news? Still no AF here.

Shellbell0403 · 02/04/2016 17:29

Drew still no signs... AF not due for another few days! Feel as though it's not happened though..

Nurse15 · 02/04/2016 19:13

Someone in work asked me earlier if I was pregnant! I hope it was due to the rosy glow I have today (thanks to make up!) and not the stomach area!! She's a fellow nurse who I'm quite friendly with so wasn't offensive but I felt like replying no but desperately trying lol

DrewOB1 · 03/04/2016 10:31

Still no AF here, but if I OV'd I think that was late ( which can happen if you take soy isoflavones) so still waiting.

Shellbell0403 · 03/04/2016 10:47

Fingers crossed Drew xxx

DrewOB1 · 04/04/2016 10:46

Still no AF, still testing negative :(

Shellbell0403 · 04/04/2016 11:36

Well today is effectively the end of my two week wait..

DrewOB1 · 04/04/2016 11:51

Have you tested yet?

Shellbell0403 · 04/04/2016 15:19

No not yet Drew ... Im to scared!!

Shellbell0403 · 04/04/2016 15:28

Nurse how are you doing?

Banana hope your ok

VillageFete · 04/04/2016 17:48

Hi everyone, been mad busy the last week so have loads of posts to catch up on. Hope everyone is well?

Banana Hope you're as well as you can be. Really looking forward to the day when you get that fairytale ending. x

Shell DO A TEST!!!!! Really hoping this is your month.

I've been to a Chiropractor today who diagnosed me with a tilted pelvis. It might be a silly question, but would this mean I had a tilted womb and this is why it was difficult for me to conceive?

Shellbell0403 · 04/04/2016 18:31

Village my mum had a tilted pelvis and had three kids and fell straight away each time... lucky her!!

Nurse15 · 04/04/2016 19:30

Hi everyone!

I've had some pink / brown spotting today, only when I wipe and a very tiny amount, not sure if I've ovulated yet I haven't caught an LH surge but with with night duty etc I wasn't testing as often as I should have probably been!! Not sure if this could be implantation bleeding or what, I'm on cd 19 today! Time will tell :)

Hope everyone is well!

MagpieCursedTea · 04/04/2016 22:01

Village I've got a tilted uterus and it hasn't caused me problems, it's the lack of ovulation that gets me. I was told the tilted uterus shouldn't effect conception. I think something like 1 in 4 women have it.

DrewOB1 · 05/04/2016 12:40

PCOS can off. I'm over it today.
5 failed cycles, then this month, 4 days late, still negative ( i am pretty sure it's a real negative.)
Meanwhile everybody and their dog are announcing pregnancies

Shellbell0403 · 05/04/2016 12:57

Sending love drew

Nurse15 · 05/04/2016 12:59

Drew i'm feeling a bit the same this month - it feels like itll never happen doesn't it? Night duty for the past 3 weeks isnt helping my already over emotional state!! Another 3 nights in a row starting tonight :( Do you know when or if you ovulated Drew?

DrewOB1 · 05/04/2016 13:23

Roughly 2 weeks ago, not 100% sure

Shellbell0403 · 05/04/2016 13:51

Drew are you still having symptoms? xxx
