Thanks ladies. Got the call this morning - all 13 eggs were mature; 6 fertilised normally, and one double-fertilised (so can't be used). The embryologist said it's possible the others might catch up, but I'm not holding out much hope of that. So I'm off course over the moon that some fertilised, and I know for a non-PCOSer 6 is probably a good result, but I can't help wishing that with my 40+ follies (and all the pain yesterday!) we have a few more at this point, to up our chances of still having to transfer on Day 3 (Monday) (which they would do if there are less than four left on Monday) or even get to blastocyst. Especially as average rates are 50-70%. But I'm still happy we've got through the Day 1 call ok!

Honeybee, I never used clomid as my tubes were blocked (forgive my memory but did you have a lap and dye /HSG/ hycosy to check your tubes before you started clomid?). So I don't have any real knowledge other than what I picked up here on threads like this one - please don't let something that someone like me says cause you to panic. But could you contact the consultant's secretary to get them to check with the doc why they don't think tracking is necessary? Maybe if they know from the other tests/ patient's history that lining hasn't been an issue previously it's not as important.

Sunnydays, that sounds realy frustrating. But if you've
got 50+ day cycles, hopefully you'll get some positive signs soon?
Nurse, don't be afraid to ring (or perhaps get your DH to ring) one of the nurses at the unit to ask if they can give you a read-out from the SA, just to give you a general idea even if they don't email the whole thing over to you.

Honeybee100 · 05/03/2016 14:01

feefee don't worry, thankyou so much for your advice, I'm fairly new to it all so don't know much and any advice is much appreciated. I haven't had a lap & dye yet or HSG or Hycosy (not sure what the last two are?) they just gave me Clomid and said to take for 6 months. They said if nothing's happened by then to then have further tests like the lap & dye and either ovarian drilling or injections. He seemed to suggest that since I had got pregnant before (sadly ended in an early miscarriage) that at least one of my tubes must be ok. I'm not convinced and feel worried that I should of had other tests?
Are you having IVF on nhs? How long did it take to get refered?
Glad you got through day 1, I'm sure all will be ok xx

CwtchyQ · 05/03/2016 15:06

sunny it's so annoying isn't it - you really want to make a baby but the reality is long cycles make it really hard! Fingers crossed you ovulate soon. I'm honestly not even fussed about this 2ww, I am just so so glad this cycle is almost done. Fed up!

stealthbanana · 05/03/2016 19:44

feefee 6 in the race is great. Am sure you'll get some great embies out of those!

Nurse15 · 05/03/2016 21:09

Feefee - we where told specifically not to ring as they aren't allowed to give results out over the phone! To be fair I am not worried about it, it was only done as a precaution as my consultant won't do any lap or hyosy until that has been completed - we are confident that the fact that I haven't ovulated in over a year is the fact that we aren't falling pregnant!! All very frustrating but no point worrying!! Congratulations on the fertilised eggs! That's amazing!! Keep us updated :D

bananafish81 · 05/03/2016 21:20

feefee that is still superb and there is every chance you will be going for a day 5 transfer. Hope you're not feeling too sore!

honey usually most Drs wouldn't prescribe clomid until after you've had a tubal patency test because there's no point giving treatment for ovulation induction if there's a tubal problem. Although perhaps they are taking a previous BFP as evidence that at least one tube is open as you say!

stealth hope you're not too uncomfortable and that those follies are cooking nicely

Sorry for brevity I'm on phone so can't scroll back and do personals - will catch up properly when I'm at my computer - hello to you all and big hugs Thanks

Scan today showed a jellybean that looked significantly more baby shaped, with a discernible head and limb stumps and visibly beating heart. They emailed us videos and we can hear the little heartbeat!!

Nurse15 · 05/03/2016 21:56

Too cute bananafish!! So glad all is going well Grin

Shellbell0403 · 05/03/2016 22:43

Hey ladies!

Bananafish aww that's amazing! Tears in your eyes when seen/heard it?

Feefee that's fabulous! You must be over the moon!! Keep us posted 😘

Honeybee I had to get the dye test before I got the tabs and then had an mri scan too! Then they prescribed the tabs... Strange they have said they would do it after 6 months of treatment!

Well AF finally showed face yesterday!! Tablets (round 2) has started today 😁👍🏻 so 5 days of tabs then the scans start again! I feel abit more prepared the now... But think it's just when it comes to the scan! My choc teapot seemed pleased AF had came 😂😂

Sorry just responding was at James Morrison last night! Amazing... Hopefully made the ovaries work abit 😉😍

Nurse15 · 06/03/2016 09:19

Lol shellbell at chocolate teapot and James Morrison ovary stimulating!! Maybe he could market his albums based on that fact!! Grin

Nurse15 · 06/03/2016 09:46

Randomly after thinking I was actually ovulating from Friday, I am now on day 3 of super positive opk's! I've never had a positive opk before now so this is unknown territory for me. My clear blue advanced ovulation is saying low fertility though! Very confusing. Anyone any thoughts? Left hand line on pic is the test line. Confused

Nurse get shagging! That looks positive to me xx

Shellbell0403 · 06/03/2016 10:12

Sometimes we get a false positive on opks because we get a high lh surge sometimes 😔 But no harm in getting it done 😂 Xx

bananafish81 · 06/03/2016 10:22

Yes you could well get another surge thanks to the joys of PCOS. It could be your body is trying to ovulate but can't. But it might also be a genuine pre ov surge. Essentially you have to treat it as though it might be, but only a progesterone blood test / AF 14 days later / BFP will confirm if you did in fact ov. Temping isn't fail safe but it's a good at home guide to indicate whether you have ovulated or not. Good luck! Xx

Shellbell0403 · 06/03/2016 10:39

I use it as an excuse sometimes 😂😂 xx

Nurse15 · 06/03/2016 11:42

You lot are too funny!! Will get on it, think I'll ring and see if I can get my progesterone checked next Monday!

IsItIorAreTheOthersCrazy · 06/03/2016 12:16

Hi

I'm on the app so can't go back and respond to individual posters but wanted to check in and say I hope everyone is ok today, and say I may want a little handholding when I come back later if that's ok?
I'm spending Mother's Day with my family, all of them mothers (and 1 pregnant cousin) and will no doubt get questioned as to why I don't have children yet. I'm preparing myself for a tough day (and DH is with his mother so won't be here to help).

Would much prefer a positive OPk and excuse to stay home shagging to be honest!! Grin

Hope you all have a nicer day than me!!

Nurse15 · 06/03/2016 12:59

Unfortunately I am having my nightmare mother in law and sister in law over for dinner (so cooking for 8 people!) but hey, the good thing is they live 40 miles away so if we ever do make them grandparents at least the temptation to call in every day won't be there..... I hope!!

Shellbell0403 · 06/03/2016 13:07

He's not a bad soul really...

I've fallen off the thread again... Ooops. Need to catch up.

Is there any exciting news (bfp's?) that I've missed?

I have no news or updates whatsoever.

FeeFeeLaFew · 07/03/2016 10:29

Hello

Thanks for the good wishes. Will come back and do personals later - in a bit of a rush as we decided to go for embryo transfer today, which means rearranging things at work etc.
We had six embryos on Saturday and now have four good quality ones and two poorer quality ones. That means we in principle could go ahead to try for 'blastocyst' stage on Wednesday, which allows a sort of natural selection because in theory the best survive - four good embryos is the clinic's apparently conservative cut-off point. But DH and I are not risk-takers and just a bit fearful that there would be nothing left by Wednesday (and it seems v unlikely there'd be anything for the freezer). So the plan is a fresh transfer of two embryos today, and to freeze the remaining two good quality ones. Those could then be used for another attempt if neither of the first two take, or (though this is me being wildly optimistic now) to try for a second baby in the future.
Hope everyone's weeks have started well.

Nurse15 · 07/03/2016 10:44

Congrats feefee! Fingers crossed for you x

CwtchyQ · 07/03/2016 11:15

Very exciting feefee! Fingers crossed!

I need some good vibes today. The Dr's have called DH to discuss his SA results. They said it had to be a face to face appt, not a phone appt so needless to say we're both quite nervous. It's later on this afternoon thankfully.

stealthbanana · 07/03/2016 12:01

Nice feefee 4 good ones is great! Good luck with the transfer

ponty don't worry too much, people are so funny about giving results over the phone. Wouldn't read anything into it.

I had my final scan today - hurrah! Have 8 follies at 22-23mm and loads behind. Triggering tonight and EC Wednesday. Feeling extremely uncomfortable and sore so can't wait to have them out of me!

CwtchyQ · 07/03/2016 17:16

stealth everything sounds so positive! Fingers crossed tightly for you

Can anyone decipher DH's SA results for me? Had a google but still none the wiser - GP said they were fine but they don't seem fine to us.

55 million sperm per ml
30 % progressive
15% non progressive
55% immotile

It's the last figure that's bothering us. Ugh.

bananafish81 · 07/03/2016 17:39

cwtchy I've just checked DH's SA results and reference range says count should be over 15m/ml and motility over 40%. So no alarm bells ringing there xx
