Choc aw goodness sake! Why do they need to do things like that.
I had a dental appt cancelled today too, dentist called in sick! Was looking forward to getting away early from work too X

Cthulhoo · 08/01/2016 12:37

I felt the love for Ovia in this thread and have downloaded it now. In case anyone is wondering what I'm doing in my lunch break today - it's updating Ovia with the data from my previous tracker ...

FXSkip · 08/01/2016 13:11

Just remembered I have a docs appt today - I'm going to furiously demand to know why my AF has still not arrived, 37 days after stopping the pill Angry and demand all manner of tests immediately....

Chocaholic88 · 08/01/2016 13:21

What pill were you on skip ??

sampypants · 08/01/2016 13:38

I'm another one who doesn't get the cervix thing, might try and make a point of figuring it out this month. I've got about 4 or 5 apps on the go Confused which really doesn't help, will delete a few today.

choc I'm definitely encouraging the craziness! I love your attitude.

drinkyourmilk · 08/01/2016 13:54

choc your attitude is spot on!

IndiX · 08/01/2016 14:02

Choc you're so right, you can't do anything to change your circumstance right now. You just have to be patient, nothing is going to change between now and Monday. Keep positive Smile
Think I should be finished AF by tomorrow so will be getting ready for a sexathon in the coming weeks.
In an average month when TTC how often do you DTD?

Chocaholic88 · 08/01/2016 14:13

Thank sampy drink and indi !! I'm trying lol

indi ... erm basically we are at it every day because we can't help ourselves? Completely unrelated to TTC really lol. So every day... 🙈🙈🙊🙊😉😉

Dubbya · 08/01/2016 14:20

Indi we've dtd every other day since af finished, CD16 now so hopefully it's been enough!

LisaTheGreek · 08/01/2016 14:26

We're every other day as well. It's actually needing a bit of coordinating. We're so often out in the evenings (me working late, him for work meetings), so we often come home to find the other asleep in bed.

We're not so heavily into the crazy that we're waking each other up to DTD yet, but I wouldn't rule it out!

Snowdog37 · 08/01/2016 14:35

We dtd every other day in my fertile week. The rest of the month it's as and when we feel like it. Both of us are so busy and tired usually that it takes some effort to get things going. I'm trying to avoid the crazy and keep dtd as stress free as possible. It's enough to keep the lid on the crazy during the 2ww.

FXSkip · 08/01/2016 15:04

We are usually ever day or so due to hectic schedules, but last night OH refused saying that I wasn't on the pill. I was like 'remember how we made the decision to start trying?!' somehow he had completely forgotten Confused but then was happy enough when I reminded him!! Doc says to wait another 5 months before I start freaking out, so I am going to try and chill out a bit!!

Mileymoocow · 08/01/2016 15:40

We're every day but that's because when I'm in fw I'm like a bitch in heat Blush

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 08/01/2016 15:50

Everyday here in fertile window this month -but it's getting a bit much Blush Confused
Better work as next month I'm going back to every other day in fw!

Snowdog37 · 08/01/2016 16:19

It's exhausting Blush and I figured if the swimmers can survive 2-3 days or longer then it's ok doing it every other day. Ovia says I'm going to ovulate tomorrow or Sunday and FF seems to agree so far. So tonight and hopefully Sunday morning should cover all bases.

I took soy isoflavones this cycle so I'm interested to see how well I ovulate, whether they made a difference. I'm starting to get crampy and more ewcm today so signs are looking good for the weekend.

Hope everyone else is doing ok? It's hard to keep up on my phone ConfusedFlowers

FXSkip · 08/01/2016 16:27

Snowdog you are correct, as far as I can see and I suspect that happy, spontaneous sexytimes is better than feeling stressed and pressured. My doc told me today that the 'fertile window' is a bit of an old wives tale and actually you can get pregnant any time at all!! Hmm I appreciate his optimism but I'll not be seeing him again!!

Runner05 · 08/01/2016 16:55

Hahahahahahaha!!!

FX please tell me you asked to see him medical degree!

Cthulhoo · 08/01/2016 17:06

FXSkip Recently I went to the doctor for a combined tooth/throat infection. He wanted to prescribe Codeine and abx so I asked whether the meds he was going to prescribe were safe to take while ttc. His response? 'Well, they're not ideal. Could you delay ttc for a week or so till you're through with the abx?'

'... no, not really.'

I left the practice feeling that one of us didn't quite understand how the female cycle worked, and it wasn't me.

Mileymoocow · 08/01/2016 17:13

Christ on a bike, I worry sometimes. My doctor is an adorable old man but I will admit it felt like telling my grandad I was having sex cause I've been seeing him since I was a tot. Not at all awkward conversation about periods, dtd and coming off the pill...

Imagine though! "Hey, ovary! Would you mind just holding on to that a little longer? I can't have sex this week." If only

FXSkip · 08/01/2016 17:24

I looked at him quizzically and he then proceeded to tell me about the conception of his 3 children. I nodded politely, and then went and made an appointment with another doctor Shock Nonetheless the general consensus seems to be that I need to wait another 4.5 months to see if things even out before I can have any tests, which is understandable. Sad

00Bubbles00 · 08/01/2016 17:24

Hi Guys, I'm hovering between the Grads thread and here as AF not due until the 12th and so feels very odd to be "pregnant" without yet missing AF and also SO early. Obv have read up on all the stats around miscarriage and so keeping a firmly pragmatic head on around the positive tests. Did pluck up courage to do the actual WORD one this morning. Its nice to see the word Pregnant written down rather than just a line so will tell DH tonight.

Although, its not official until one tells Ovia of course....

FXSkip · 08/01/2016 17:30

Mileymoocow aww they're the best kinds of doctors....until you need to talk about something other than a mild chesty cough!! I feel like I might be able to write a book about all the times men have failed to grasp the concept.

shelbTa · 08/01/2016 17:45

Stark what's the latest, stills feeling bit upduffed? Testing this weekend?

X

LanadelLol · 08/01/2016 17:48

My doctor has had to put up with my consistent complaints of sinusitis, dry skin and 'non hormonal' contraception woes and when I went to see him last year and explaining that I was basically a psycho on all forms of contraception he asked 'well maybe you're ready to have a child, maybe that's what you need?' I never thought a doctor would ever say something like that but I didn't doubt him tbh x

drinkyourmilk · 08/01/2016 17:57

We did every day of fertile period, we aren't usually that energetic. Having said that I'm stripping that man the minute he walks in the door tonight and tying him to the bed til I'm satisfied! Grin
Feeling a wee bit horny
