I'm still in! Huge congrats space and drwhy Really hoping** this is the lucky Thread it appears to be! Currently cd7, started SMEP yesterday (2days early I know but eager) on healthy start nhs vits and taking a baby aspirin a day. It's so lovely to see so my positives X

IndiX · 07/01/2016 11:06

What does the aspirin do? I take folic acid, multi vits, vitamin c and cod liver oil tabs. Anything I should add/take away?

KatOnATinRo0f · 07/01/2016 11:07

Choc (do you mind if I call you chic as that's what my phone autocorrects you to every time! :-p) I have the one step pens they say they are 10ml/u but who knows.... I've had good dark lines on their OPK but as still awaiting my BFP I couldn't tell you if they work or not

Runner05 · 07/01/2016 11:11

Indi do your multi-vits have vitamin A in them?

KatOnATinRo0f · 07/01/2016 11:15

Updated list for January testers! There's a lot of us to go... I'm sure we'll have some more BFPs! Anyone please feel free to add yourself and test dates so we can keep track

Asprin isn't proven, but there's a lot of research into its benefits for preventing miscarriage. After my loss, my midwife recommended it so I figure it can't hurt short term!

Chocaholic88 · 07/01/2016 11:25

kat choc or chic... either is cool 😂😂

sampypants · 07/01/2016 11:26

Hi all,

Sampypants
30 years old
TTC #1
Cycle 3

Have only being trying sporadically over the past 6 months, but looking to get on with it properly and in dire need of company. AF due earliest end of this week, but not feeling lucky, tiniest bit of spotting yesterday and sore boobness (which I only ever notice when symptom spotting, I swear I must ignore my body most of the time!).

Has anyone else noticed that their cycle changes in length when TTC? Before I got broody, I was at 31-34 days typically, when considering going for it I dropped to 26-29 days, and on the months I actively TTC I've experienced 22-25 days. Can I think my periods away?? Is there money to be made from this if I can do the same for other people?

Bugmuncher · 07/01/2016 11:28

Ha ha I'm glad I'm not the only one first!

Snowdog37 · 07/01/2016 11:34

Lots of lovely bfps! 🎉💐🎉💐🎉 congrats!!!!

I'm cd10, just entered my fertile window yesterday so dtd, used preseed and his lordship nearly fell off the bed at the most inconvenient moment. It's good stuff but slippery!!!! Hopefully most of the goods got to where they need to go. Blush I've had no positive opks yet, due to ovulate somewhere between Saturday and Monday, so lots more less slippy dtd to come, and can test around the 25th. Got a busy month ahead so that'll be a good distraction. I feel like I over obsessed last month and it was all for nowt so I'm going to focus my attention on eating better and losing the 10lbs I put on over Christmas and New Years. Damn you bite size chocolates that kept jumping in my mouth. I'm disgusted with myself ConfusedSad

IndiX · 07/01/2016 12:14

I'm with you snow, focussing on my health and fitness as that's all I can control right now so no point stressing over TTC.

Yeah runner they probably do have vitamin A I havnt double checked though, why is that bad?

Runner05 · 07/01/2016 12:26

Yep, you don't want any vitamin A as it makes conception harder. Ideally you want to move to a preconception vitamins. I like the seven seas one as it's reasonably priced and tiny.

Also check your cod liver oil as some of those have added vitamin A too.

IndiX · 07/01/2016 12:28

Oh Jesus, I am so new to all of this! Thank god for mumsnet..right will have a look at all my vits now and get some pre conception ones

harrietm87 · 07/01/2016 12:30

Congrats space!!
kat my next test day is 3 Feb so guess I'm on the feb bus now. AF stopped today so looking forward to starting to ttc properly this cycle!

I have also put on loads of weight over Xmas Sad went for a (very short) run this am and now heading to the gym!

IndiX · 07/01/2016 12:35

Shit, so just seen I've been taking about 1600ugRE don't ask me what that means but it sounds a lot a day of vitamin A without even knowing!

Runner05 · 07/01/2016 12:41

Oops... Oh well, you can't change the past but you can remove it from your diet now Smile

Mileymoocow · 07/01/2016 12:42

Harriet my af stopped yesterday and also due to test 2nd! I'll be keeping my eye out for your bfp

IndiX · 07/01/2016 12:43

Good job you told me runner! What about DH should be stop taking it too? Anything else?

Mileymoocow · 07/01/2016 12:44

It's 0.0016g Indi so not much at all but I'm not sure what would be needed to effect conception

Feefeefs · 07/01/2016 12:44

I'm not due to test til February now Sadand not in fertile window. Frustrating. indi you are not meant to take vitamin a supplements

IndiX · 07/01/2016 12:50

There's so much about TTC I don't know Blush should my DH not take it either?

Runner05 · 07/01/2016 12:55

Some vitamins are good others not so much. I think your OH taking them should be ok but someone else might correct me on that.

Ni4444 · 07/01/2016 12:57

Congrats Dr! Good work!!

Little I'm on cycle 3...and likely to be cycle 4 soon. Had bbt (temperature) drop this morning do I think AF is coming this weekend. Bloody hell...why wont my eggs talk to his tadpoles? I even provided a meditator to encourage communication (in the form of pre seed lube!). Why wont they play nicely???!!!

Thankfully have friend coming to stay from tonight so weekend of girlie fun (and booze!) lined up to distract me.

We move in a month (and haven't found a place yet) so I'm trying to keep stress and worry down... But realistically that might affect our chances next month too. I need to just accept that. I could be on this thread for a while!!

Indi I think it was you that asked about vitamins. I'm taking the pregnacare conception ones (They're big and expensive but Boots always have them on 3 for 2) and last month I got OH to start taking the male version when I read that multivitamins can help the quality of the sperm they produce!

Ps welcome to the newbies!!

Ni4444 · 07/01/2016 12:59

Ps Indi don't stress....with modern research, technology (and mumsnet!) we know way more about ttc than our parents and grandparents did...but they still succeeded at it!!
