No problem Hun we are all in the same boat here! Haha we all try to be relaxed but it never works :( Well I bought cheap ones cause last month I was using 2 a day for like a week and they did the job but think if I don't conceive within 6 months I'm going to get the clear blue ones there expensive but worth it! And yeah there easy I would suggest you test mid afternoon try to hold your wee in and don't drink as much! I got 50 for 3.99 on eBay! Xxx

Just a quick update from me to say AF finally arrived on day 41! Having read through lots of posts now its clear that is not a particularly long wait so feeling much less anxious. Ovulation kit has arrived today and we will be properly ttc moving forwards now. Am finally feeling excited as opposed to worried about the whole thing!

alice87m I know exactly what you mean. I have been so impatient and am the same in that I was convinced I'd be all laid back about this, but the crazy obsessive in me took over pretty quickly!

Af finally arrived for me last night so my mission is underway. My 50 pack of opk are here too. As I'm irregular and conceived #1 on cd11 I think I'll start testing from day 7 or 8 despite my last cycle being 30 days. So many numbers!!

H0p3...congratulations I bet you're relieved it's here so you can get started! Have you recently come off birth control? I'm still waiting for my AF.. literally no signs that it's on its way either. So frustrating! Angry

Hello everyone, well I got the job! (it's the job I've already been working for a year but now I have a permanent contract) they have really family friendly policies so I feel confident to get going! AF is due on Sunday, and I've been having some mild crampy feelings so I'm not feeling too positive about this cycle.
Anyone got lucky this month? Fingers crossed all.

Congratulations Greenikins

I am exhausted as well Abella and glad to be having a break from it all for a couple of weeks.

alice87m, I had my implant removed on the 8th December so have been waiting for AF since then. Thought it would all go back to normal (is there a normal!?) straight away, but it has taken longer than I expected. It is soooo frustrating when you just want to get started!

In answer to your question about OV kits, mine arrived yesterday and it seems fairly straight forward. The OV sticks seem to be a bit difficult to read but the temping seems okay....if I remembered to do it! First morning and I totally forgot. Oh well. I've heard that the Clear Blue ones are quite good, but I just went for the cheapies on Amazon this time round. If no joy this cycle then I think I'll get some clear blues next time...January is the worst month to start this as everything is so expensive!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar - that's such a relief - it's so good when it finally comes!

Congratulations Greenikins!

Glad you understand bobo90! We were only together 18 months before we got married and didn't love together so I think that's why ppl are saying it - but we wanna get going!
Coming to the end of af now. I was looking at the SMEP, but it seems exhausting! I guess it's OPK's and charting for me for Cycle 1 - so nervous, but very exciting! How's everyone else getting on?

Feel like AF is on the way in the next couple of days.
Anyone using a clearblue monitor where you stick the ov sticks in?

Report
Abella · 19/01/2016 20:26

Yes I am using the monitor with the sticks. Worked within six months for my first but second is taking longer. I'm using ovia app alongside it and they both contradict each other so trying this month to just have sex every other day. Hoping for positive test soon as been 7 months now and am sooooooo impatient!!!!!!

Hi everyone, this is my very first post ever... eek
I'm 36 trying to conceive #1 2nd month of trying. I'm due AF on Sunday and have been symptom spotting like a crazy woman! I had no idea how that ttc would turn me into a mad symptom spotter. I think DH is fed up with my obsessing already so I was so happy to see this thread Smile
Good luck to everyone, I hope we all get BFP's Flowers

Hi all im 4 days late for af due Sunday 17th... I have no signs of pregnancy an no signs of my AF arriving .. Usually suffer from really tender breasts running up to my AF (usually 4-5) days before and constant backache that worsens right up untill my AF arrives.. My boobs have been fine i had a smear of brown discharge in my underwear yesterday morning and nothing since ..( sorry if tmi) i have also suffered from cramps in my back but they keep coming and going and are no were near as bad as my usual AF back pains... I took a clearblue test monday NEG result ... I have done a repeat test also today also negative!! Wondering whether anyone else has had this problem but had successfully concieved or whether i may just be really late (usually always ontime regular 30 day cycle) any advice on anyones previous experiences with pregnancies.. With baby number #1 i cant remember any symptoms or signs so abit confused... Thanks ?

Hi Jc I was just wondering if both the tests you did were Clear Blue or if you've tried a different brand? I know the Superdrug own brand early tests are meant to be particularly good (my sister got +ives on them for all 3 of her pgs when CB and others were negative) and also lots of people on here seem to have early +ives with First response as well. Might be worth trying one of those? Sorry I don't have any other advice...fx for you!!

Maybe give it another day or so and then test? I know it's nearly impossible to wait (I was waiting for my first AF after ending contraception for about 6 weeks and poas so many times before it started) but it seems to be the only way. Maybe get some first response tests as they do seem to be the most popular. Sending you lots of positive vibes!

So ladies, I got a BPF, yay!

Doc even told me last week, oh you're definitely not pregnant - just your hormones still settling after labour a year ago!!

Doesn't feel real, especially because I don't really have many symptoms whereas with my 1st I was sick as a dog from 4 weeks onwards.

How is everyone else getting on? Anyone testing in the next day or two?
