February bus - all aboard for bfps

There doesn't seem to be a February bus yet but that is where I need to be because of longish cycles.

EBFP Date: 27th Feb (positive thinking!)

We didn't really try last cycle, only DTD once during estimated ovulation period.

Going to up the pace this cycle with DTD every other day from finishing period onwards until a few days after likely ovulation.

Also now considering EPO

Trying not to do OPKs or temping and stay fairly relaxed which is difficult because I'm a monstrous control freak

Hey all. I'm just waiting for af to appear, probably on Thursday, then it's all systems go for dh coming home!

And I have fantastic news! I'm going to be spending the whole summer (with the kids obviously) over with dh on the paradise island where he works!! ☀️😎

So I'm either going to be 5 months pregnant while I'm there, or we're going to have a couple of damn good shots at trying this summer! So happy right now.

AF arrived this morning and I stared at it in the loo for 5 minutes trying to kid myself it might be implantation blood. Errr, no.

So I'm all aboard for Feb.

Day 1 today, which makes 4-10 my fertile period. Is that right? The 9th looks like the most likely for ovulation I think.

Hubby is on standby all month in February, so we have no idea if he will be home or not, which is going to make things extra exciting this month...

Well, I'm 1-2dpo I think? I've no idea if I'm honest. I'm 0dpo if I went by those rubbish ovulation tests.

Either way I'm totally devoid of any symptoms whatsoever.

Probably about right really whether I was up duffel or not.

Hi Such....we are cycle twins I think...I use an app (Pink Pad) which estimates my ovulation and it says the 9th...

stumbly yes and yes! Just saw you came on today too. Absolute cycle twins.

I use Pink Pad too /highfive But I have never bothered putting the last day of AF in manually - I always hit 'add three days automatically'. Wonder if it makes a difference to your fertile period?

Still got very dark OPKs today, which makes it the second day of very positive readings. Surely that means ov tomorrow??? Which also means our heroic Day Of Two Shags was probably too early to have helped. My poor DH actually looked slightly panicked that I might expect him to repeat the performance yesterday. Not so keen on DTD mid-week, I must say.

giraffes yeah probably ov will be tomorrow for you. I'd test again tonight (and then obsessively every 3 hours tomorrow) just to check 😄 Your poor dh 😂

I tidied out my bathroom cabinet earlier and as I was putting away the pregnancy tests I I bought earlier this month, noticed I somehow managed to order them from America! Teach me to pay more attention to Amazon when I'm mumsnetting!

ithought I am also thinking those opk tests are rubbish. I am cd14, have had negatives for last 3 days but pretty sure I'm ovulating today or warming up to ov tom. After absolutely no symptoms at all, I am now getting a bit of ewcm and pain in right ovary. we are dtd every day now till cd 17 (if we can keep it going!) but I'm not holding out much hope!

Sorry some of you are finding it hard. I'm veering between 'It's fine, it'll happen when it happens' to telling DH to turn friends off because it's the series where Rachel's pregnant and I can't cope!

I was planning to try the SMEP this month but now DH is away til Thursday. I'm CD9 and we haven't DTD this cycle before today as I've been feeling so down. So I'm doing a brilliant job of minimising my chances as well as fate giving a helping hand... And why is time passing so SLOWLY???

Definitely...any tips on enjoying the 2WW gladly taken. I've only done one and I already hate it

Such....hmmmm....not sure, I'm lucky enough that my AF only lasts the few days it puts in automatically plus a couple of days of spotting.

And I know there are a few of us on the SMEP plan (not me I'm too lazy ) but remember it can only take the one time to get upduffed. I've said it before and I'll say it again - try not to put too much pressure on yourselves and OHs. The month I conceived DS we'd only done it the once, 2 days before ov day. And that was after almost 2 years of trying when we'd practically given up on conceiving naturally - so it can happen.

Lucinda I finally had my GP appt and I'm so glad I waited for a female GP to be available! She was so lovely and helpful. I'm being put forward for day 21 bloods again, then day 2-4 bloods to check LSH and FH levels. I'm also having screening for rubella, swabbing for chlamydia and finally a pelvic ultrasound. Although I've only had 2 mcs, she said that if we do these initial tests first then we'll be in good place further down the line to get further tests if necessary. So really pleased to get proactive about things

And just one more thing before I shut the hell up Lucinda it might be worth trying different opks? I had a brand of ov sticks and they never showed a positive for me so in the end I gave up and used CBDs. Now I've gone back to cheaper ics but a different brand (alongside CBDs) and they are showing clearer and more definite positives. I do wonder if there are some dodgy sellers out there who are selling less-than-genuine products the bastards

celen which opk's are you using? Ive always used the OneStep and they were fine, but I think the last batch I had were dodgy. I have a new batch to use next cycle, along with the cbd.

nenehooo celen I might just drag you along to the island to tag team all my wee chops on the scarily long flights I need to tackle alone! Chops1&2 should be great, chops3 however is a crazy toddler!

Wow celen ur GP sounds amazing! So glad she was helpful and seems to have covered all bases. I have yet to go back to review my scan results with GP, I may ask for the day 21 bloods etc. And no need to sit on those hands, it's a good point about the dodgy opk's! I have been hovering over the 'buy' button on the CBD but as I'm on cd14 I thgt perhaps just see what happens this month yeah cos I'm that laid back bout the whole thing! and I'll buy as soon as my AF arrives in a couple of weeks lol!

Not really in the mood for smeping either to be honest but for some reason OH seems totally up for it this month..... shouldn't complain! totally lost my mojo

Hi everyone, just checking in, not much to report really. CD8 and AF has finally gone away. Think I might do SMEP this month, not starting until at least CD10 due to my ridiculously long cycles at the moment.

Hey! Sneaking back into the mix on the bus. I've been lurking but life is so damn busy no time to comment!

You'd think I'd got the hang of OPKs after they pinpointed when to DTD with my first 2 DC but I've kinda forgotten how they work....??
I have cheapy Amazon one-step ones which work really well for me. 2 clear days on positives right as I have loads of EWCM. So that's all good but are the positives telling me that it's the hormonal surge pre-ovulation or am I ovulating when I get the positive tests?? When do I DTD??
Am on CD9 now and have a pretty regular 28 day cycle. am expecting the positives this Sunday/Monday next week.

Help!
