I haven't been on board for a few months:

MrsNuckyT
Age: 36
TTC: #2 (conceived DC1
Cycle: 10
ETD: 16th ish

Have just been for private tests and found that I have decent egg reserves and no issues with tubes. Starting Clomid next cycle, but would just LOVE to get my BFP this time around to save the bother!

Does anyone have any Clomid success stories they can share?

Lucinda15 · 28/01/2016 15:54

nene omg!! U poor woman. Hope u have recovered from that little boo boo!!

mrsnucky no clomid story to offer but wondered how u got ur private tests - did u have to get a GP referral initially or can u just book a private appointment direct?

FuzzyOwl · 28/01/2016 16:36

Hi everyone. Sorry to see so many of you from the other buses. AF arrived today, so Cd1 for me but I have a long cycle so my BFP isn't due now until March. Do we have a March bus yet or do I need to start one?

Celen · 28/01/2016 16:52

No March bus at the moment FuzzyOwl but why not hang with us for a while? Smile

Here have a slice of Cake

Lucinda15 · 28/01/2016 18:12

FuzzyOwl · 28/01/2016 19:59

Thanks Celen and Lucinda. Smile

FuzzyOwl · 28/01/2016 20:03

In the lonely meantime, I have started the March bus for anyone who is unfortunate enough to not get a BFP this month.

Lucinda - if you're paying yourself there is no need for a GP appointment. I just googled a local clinic and was offered an appointment within a few days, with a follow up a few days later. Had an internal scan and HyCoSy. DH is now booked in for a semen analysis. Effectively, you are paying to 'skip to the end' of the tests the NHS would ultimately offer. The were able to prescribe Clomid on the spot and it cost £4!! (the actual tests of course were a lot more!).

Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me butting in, I've tried to take a bit of a back seat from mumsnet for the last 3 months. I'm now on cycle 8 and first time ever had a positve OPK Monday night. We have DTD Sunday, Monday, Tuesday but not Wednesday, do you think there's still a chance I have caught it? OPK was still fairly positive Tuesday but not as dark and nothing at all when I tested Wednesday. I really wanted to try on Wednedsay but DH just wasn't feeling it que an hysterical argument this morning. Is anybody else feeling the strain in their relationship? We both love each other dearly but I think we are both blaming ourselves for it not happening Confused

Look forward to hearing from you xx

nenehooo · 28/01/2016 21:40

Oh nothing happened - luckily it was very discreetly wrapped. Inside a plain cardboard tube. The bottom of the box had been opened so the syringes were visible but no brand name or anything. I was just annoyed!

I told my colleague (not telling her what was actually inside) and she went "what is it, a dildo?"

MiniLop · 28/01/2016 22:07

Omg nene! I would be mortified!! I've never used it though, is it really obvious what it is from the packaging? Has the temp said anything about it!? Blush
I'm CD10 today will start using OPKs tomorrow I think. Starting SMEP tonight too, if I can muster up the energy Confused

MiniLop · 28/01/2016 22:10

Oops major xp nene! I started writing that message ages ago then got distracted! Glad it wasn't too bad. Lol at dildo!! Grin

Lucinda15 · 28/01/2016 22:34

belle just a quick reply as I'm clocking off for the evening shortly - but yes I reckon ur still in with a chance, I have been worried about similar timescales and days for dtd around ov and have been reassured by the lovely ladies on this thread (and others!) that the sperm can live for a few days so could easily catch ur egg Grin and yes, me and DH have also felt the strain many times - we had our hysterical argument last month bcos of not making the most of the fertile window! I'm sure we are not the only ones either....

sending u and everyone lots of baby dust and hoping the 2ww goes quickly for us all!! Flowers

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 28/01/2016 23:03

Just dipping in again to see how everyone's getting on. Cd10/11 here. Nothing happening on opks. No sign of ewcm so just biding my time and getting on it from Saturday I hope!

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 28/01/2016 23:38

nene BlushGrin

Shaking my pom-poms in your direction too minilop.

belle those dates for DTD would get a "good" rating from Fertility Friend. I always imagine scientists in white coats holding up scoring paddles (think Stictly Come Dancing), judging our 'performance'. Like pavlov's dogs.... My DH thought it was a great idea Hmm

GiraffesCantDoMentalArithmetic · 28/01/2016 23:41

Crap half my post vanished!

Before the bit about Pavlov:

Regarding losing the romance - I read about an interesting idea last week. Once a month (ideally at ov day) plan a "gourmet" session for DH. Everything he likes (in a sexual sense!!) for him to look forward to. I reckon we could condition them to perform extra well at the crucial time.

Belle8 · 29/01/2016 08:10

Thanks for all you replies it can feel such an isolated time TTC but when you come on here it defo feels like a problem shared becomes a problem halved! Il keep my fx and hope for the best! Xx

Belle8 · 29/01/2016 08:11

lucinda how many dpo are you? Xx

Lucinda15 · 29/01/2016 08:54

belle not sure - I am on cd18 fertility apps said I said I should have ov'd cd16. Had positive opk's on cd16 and cd17 but no spike in temp yet so still not sure. I think I'm going with ov on cd17?! So 1dpo Confused

Belle8 · 29/01/2016 10:17

Ohh we are at pretty similar stages then although my positive opks were CD20 /CD21 thanks to my long cycles after the pill Angry I'm now sat on CD24 so guessing I'm 3 or (hopefully) 4 dpo now. Which days did you DTD around your positve OPK? Xx

Lucinda15 · 29/01/2016 16:02

I have to confess we have been pretty committed to dtd this month! We were doing every other day until cd14 and since then we have done it every day - 5 days in a row!! Feel like we deserve a medal actually practically the same as running a marathon surely? We thought I would ovulate around cd 15-16 but only got pos opk on cd16&17 so just kept going. I thought we shd have a break last night but oh was adamant we keep going - think he is a bit gutted/feeling guilty for not making most of fertile window last month and getting bfn, but I am afraid I'm deffo having a night off tonight!! Really think we have done all we can and now I'm keeping everything (including legs) crossed for a BFP in a couple of weeks time. Days already dragging!!

EnglishExpatUSA · 29/01/2016 16:17

Your oh definitely deserves a medal Lucinda! We also DTD consecutive days this month and by day 6 DH was seriously struggling! Really hoping that all our efforts pay off. 7dpo today... Getting closer to POAS time, eek. Not really feeling much, a few pinchy womb feelings. But didn't wee during the night last night which is usually my earliest symptom... Argh this waiting is killing me!

EnglishExpatUSA · 29/01/2016 16:18

Oh and I have a cold, don't know if that's relevant... Clutching at straws perhaps!
