indi its hard not to poas! Just have to keep ourselves distracted! I'm back to work on Tuesday so that will keep me busy till the following weekend. I like the opks. I've been using the clearblue digital ones, I know their more expensive but for me I don't have to worry about misinterpreting them. I also liked that it told me that I'm an early ovulator.

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 19:36

Handbag have you had a withdrawal bleed since stopping the pill? It would be unlikely (but not impossible) for you to ovulate 48 hours after stopping the pill.
I would still try another FRER tomorrow morning. They do tend to be far more reliable than any other brand.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you just got a dodgy one yesterday. While I think of it, how many days ago did you get the faint lines and did they get any darker over several days?

Sorry about BFN Harriet

Handbagsnhorses · 01/01/2016 19:41

runner05 no withdrawal bleed! I got the darkest of the lines on the 27th (the ones in the pictures I posted), then the ones before that were lighter each time. So yes they got darker but not dramtically! I got a faint from a tesco test (blue dye) then 3 faints on superdrug tests... then the negative on the FRER! My boobs are bigger etc but I think that's to be expected because I've stopped the pill too!

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 20:16

Handbag try again tomorrow but if I'm honest I do expect it to be a BFN. If you got the faint line on 27th then you should have a very dark line by now. I'm really sorry but unless yesterday's test was faulty I think it was a chemical pregnancy.

As a side note. Did you read the tests within the time frame? Did the lines appear immediately or were they delayed?

Handbagsnhorses · 01/01/2016 20:39

Well I'm viewing as I just want to know either way, then we'll plod long each month and see what happens! I've got a blood test on the 13th at the Dr's so if anything occurs before then I'll know (hopefully!)

The first three came up within 15 mins (just out of the 10 mins frame)

The final one on the 27th came up within 3 mins x

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 20:59

If the first three came up after the 10 minutes then you should really have thrown them away as it is quite common for certain tests (Superdrug own being notorious in my experience) to develop faint lines after the time limit is up. The one on the 27th appearing after 3 minutes is confusing. Looks like you have a 50/50 chance as one of the tests (either 27th or today) must be faulty. Did the dr not do a normal test before referring you for bloods?

Sorry, feel like I'm interrogating you but I'm slightly obsessed with preggo tests Wink

Handbagsnhorses · 01/01/2016 21:14

Haha don't be sorry! I posted on here to discuss it so I'm grateful you've replied lol

Yep Dr announced he had never done a test in the Dr's before (very young looking locum - bearing in mind in 27 and he looked young lol). He put 3 drops of urine (I told him I'd peed as I left for the doctors 10 mins before). He said 'sooo we're looking for a T are we?'. I explained we were looking for two lines, as soon as the control line came up he went 'oop no negative then!' And lobbed it into the bin! I then said he should have possibly waited for a minute and he said 'oh well I'm happy to send you for bloods' and send me on my way... I was gobsmacked haha!

Tues and weds I had some Egg white CM with a single streak of blood through it. Only one time each day though... baffled!

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 21:28

What an odd Dr Confused sounds like he didn't have s clue!

Oh well, let us know what the test tomorrow says. If it's BFN then hang around as this is a good little thread, if it's BFP we have a grads thread you could join Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/01/2016 21:33

I agree wit runner that sounds like a very unprofessional way for a doctor to behave! To make assumptions and then not to adequately check the test!

I had two glasses or champagne today, asked Dh if he thought it was ok beforehand and he seemed to think it was acceptable so I did! Had yellow cm today as well, hmm. Smallest dog is now sat on my chin like a living beard!

He was interesting to say the least. I actually spoke to the practice midwife after who said she'd say something as that's ridiculous!

I'll let you know what result I get, either way! Thanks for the support ladies :)

Oo fingers crossed for you Starky!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/01/2016 21:37

I think I'm an unlikely candidate for a bfp this cycle unfortunately, all my cramps have disappeared, and I'm having a distinct lack of symptoms! Suck thing about having such a long cycle is that it's an eternity from ovukated to af! Grin

OP posts:
shelbTa · 01/01/2016 21:38

Stark - yellow cm, I had that. That is all I am saying. I wish I was drinking champagne.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/01/2016 21:50

shelb Wink I've had all your bfp symptoms so far! I soo want to be hopeful but I'm worried about feeling positive in case af turns up! Its a mind fuck and a half! Probably why I had champagne today because I'm thinking I can't possibly get a bfp!

OP posts:
Handbagsnhorses · 01/01/2016 21:53

It's highly unlikely I'm pregnant so God knows how you feel!! I will also be staying off the pill full stop seeing as it has completely tricked my body. Stay positive Starky... the fun is in the trying, it's just the waiting that sucks lol!!

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 21:54

Stark I did exactly the same thing on the work Christmas party " oh, I can't be pregnant, I don't have enough symptoms... Glug, glug, glug" followed a couple of days later by "oh look, I'm pregnant!" Lol

shelbTa · 01/01/2016 22:05

I know stark, when I've posted I've thought shit don't want to stir up hopes in case it isn't, but couldn't help it! If you start burping though then that is a whole other story! I did have a lot of yellow cm though.

Enjoy the champagne. I'm lucky to have a BFP don't get me wrong but Christ I miss booze! I miss the taste, and I miss being pissed. There. I've said it.

X

StarkyTheDirewolf · 01/01/2016 22:26

Aah its all good runner and shelb i like hearing the positivity! It keeps me positive! And im being a bit maudlin today, which will pass, i will do some positive mental attitude and a bit of reiki! I suppose it's also something to do we with a fear of being left behind! All thread 1 originals are upduffed already! I will bounce back to being a cheerful sausage! I'm just a smidgen weepy tonight! And my cramps have come back now! Grin

OP posts:
Ni4444 · 01/01/2016 22:58

Stark I totally feel your fear of being left behind! I know it could take up to a year if it takes me as long as a year I will have a bloody meltdown! but I think this thread has just had unbelievable good luck... BFPs in the first month trying...practically miraculous!! We will hold out, and we will get there soon goddamnit baby dust baby dust, Baby dust !!!! Star Star

Jam you have 10 days Ewcm? Remind me how old you are? I read something recently about people in their twenties having it for longer want to depress myself about being older!

So many AFs today! What an annoying start to the year! Love to the AFers and BFNs today-drink the mulled wine and baileys, finish the pate and blue cheese!! And fingers crossed that next month is the one!

Turnertime14 · 01/01/2016 23:04

Stay positive Starky! You still have a little way to go this month!

leoniethelioness · 01/01/2016 23:30

Ni I'm in my 20s too and my EWCM seems to last a while. Didn't help last month as still a BFN!

Also enjoyed a few glasses of champagne last night. I'm now teetotal - at least until the end of the month. Drank a bit too much on holiday and could do with waking up refreshed on a Saturday rather than groggy!

Sherlock was good but got a bit confused at times as I couldn't really remember what happened with Moriarty or to Sherlock in the previous episode.

Runner05 · 01/01/2016 23:31

Stark don't feel down. We all started before you jumped the gun And you're only on your first proper cycle aren't you? And I think Shelb is the only one to catch on cycle 1. It's not time to feel despondent yet Smile

KatOnATinRo0f · 01/01/2016 23:33

Stark I'm still here. Apparently can test in a week. It's going very slowly. I'm not sure if I have tingly nipples or I was just wearing an uncomfortable bra. Or if I have cramps in my uterus or I ate too much I think the latter have stopped POAS for now (OPK) as the last two got fainter which makes sense for this part of my cycle. Have also stopped dtd mainly as feel fat due to amount of food consumption.
When is your AF due? I know you have long cycles but it seems like this one has gone on forever?!

I really enjoyed the champagne last night kind of want to spend the next week drinking champagne just in case

So what did we think of Sherlock? I felt a bit let down if I'm honest

leoniethelioness · 01/01/2016 23:34

I've been reading about the art of tidying (!!!) online and am now itching to have a bloody good clear out. It sort of makes me feel like we're making space for a baby so it seems like a productive thing to do as other than shagging and crossing my fingers, there's not much else I can do! Here's a link about it in case you have a similar new year's resolution - www.today.com/series/secrets-of-success/life-changing-magic-tidying-testing-marie-kondos-method-t21356

Bubbapup89 · 01/01/2016 23:56

Stark I was in the original thread too. I know I am stopping trying for a few months but this was month 3 and I will still stick around.
I wouldn't be able to hold off on the testing especially as ovia says to! Lots of willpower!

Anyone else doing the dryathlon this month?

Runner05 · 02/01/2016 00:09

Yep, all the BFPs are on the dryathlon Wink
