Thanks ladies it's so good to have you here!
Quick question - do you see a second line as a bfp even if you couldn't see it till much later than the 3 mins? I find with most of my bfp cause we have to test so early they don't show up till much later. I'm starting to doubt everything now! I've still not have any bleeding but that might be the cyclogest. Had a look online and seems the storage temp is important. So bought a clearblue today and will test in morning. Have taken meds and prob take the cyclogest tonight too (thought one more day won't change much!).
I hope you're all having a lovely Easter xx

billy15 · 27/03/2016 08:10

Bfn this morning! I'm glad to know for sure so we can move on. Thanks for all your support the last few days xxEaster Smile

Seekingmiracles · 27/03/2016 11:35

Sorry it's a bfn today Billy Sad absolutely sucks! Sending you a big hug. X

annaif · 27/03/2016 16:16

I am truly sorry Billy, hope you are ok Hun?
Next month, new egg, new opportunity!
All aboard the April ttc train xxxx

Lisachick1 · 27/03/2016 22:10

Oh Billy that's awful, so sorry. If I were you I'd get seriously drunk. Hope you're ok xx

Lisachick1 · 27/03/2016 22:16

Snoopy that's good there is no actual rash (I think!) but still sooooo horrible that you're itchy. It is quite common in pregnancy though I think, if it was just your palms and soles of feet I think that might mean it's that liver thing I can't remember what it's called, but if all over then maybe just a crazy, hormonal thing - but might be worth a trip to doc anyway. They did a blood test on me to check it wasn't that anyway. I found calamine lotion (that stuff for chicken pox?) helped a bit.
Am much better now but still bit itchy and lumpy now and again...
And having my cervical stitch removed on Tuesday, eeeek! X

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 28/03/2016 13:54

Oh billy I'm so sorry, it's just not fair what you have to go to through. Take some time to rest and recover and treat yourself well. This making of you x

lisa I had the blood test for bike salts or bike acids, I forget which one, and they're going to repeat because apparently the levels can take time to change. The consultant was actually really good that I saw this time. Ooh exciting, what's your due date?

Lisachick1 · 28/03/2016 21:12

Due 17th April but they won't let me go that far because I have gestational diabetes and am 43 so probably induce at 38-39 weeks so in couple of weeks... But all could apparently kick off when stitch is removed anyway !

Obstetric cholestasis is the thing I was tested for (but more common to just itch on palms & soles of feet, not all over, but maybe ask to be tested for that too?) x

billy15 · 29/03/2016 08:14

Thanks ladies. I'm actually feeling ok about it atm - not sure how long that'll last. Typical that I've had no spotting and no period since! Just hope things don't get messed up for the next cycle or two!

lisa So exciting that you'll be having your baby soon!! would you mind me asking your history? It's encouraging to see someone on here over 40 and having success (I'm 43 in Aug and think that's why I keep having chemicals- 3 on the treatment!). Were you with dr shehata?

Drttc · 30/03/2016 11:48

Freak out alert! Help! Snoopy- anyone? :

I've had a sore area around my right rib for a few days- then today I got a REALLY sharp burning pain there. Kind of around where my wire bra ends. I don't have my midwife's number on me and not sure if I should get seen to :( Any knowledge on this? Only 20 weeks so can't imagine baby could do it...

billy15 · 30/03/2016 12:12

drttc this might sound silly but could it be heartburn? Can you call 111 maybe?
It doesn't sound like it'd be anything to do with baby apart from maybe muscle strain or heartburn if it's by your rib?
I hope you're OK lady - totally understandable that you'd be panicked by this. Try and relax if you can as it sounds more muscular than anything. Hopefully the other ladies can reassure you xx

Drttc · 30/03/2016 12:45

Thanks Billy! Calming down a bit as it seemed like a one off and you're right about it not really being by the baby. And breath! Am asking around to see if other ladies have felt similar. Will be home in a few hours and will call midwife if not reassured... Xx

Tumtimes1 · 30/03/2016 13:14

I had something like this when I was pregnant with my daughter - like you I freaked out but it appeared to be an isolated incident and didn't happen again. If it occurs again I would call your midwife.

I myself have noted wet knickers today which I can only think is wee (soz!) - as this happened last time but not till 17 weeks. I really hope it is wee and not fluid. WAH. Ugh theres always something to bloody worry about. How I envy these blissfully ignorant pregnant types who sail through their pregnancy with not a care in the world.

Billy I am so sorry to see that this pregnancy didn't stick - I hope you're ok. I know how you feel and its incredibly disappointing. Sending you strength. x

billy15 · 30/03/2016 19:10

Thanks tumtimes

How are you feeling drttc?

karryk · 30/03/2016 20:52

Hugs to everyone :)

Just popping in again...I'm waiting impatiently for my period as I can start on the steroids from Mr Shehata during my next ovulation (hurrah). Annoyingly, my period is now 2 days late due to a bout of food poisoning at the weekend :( if it's much later, my 'happy time' (hehe) won't synch with the hubby's work pattern so that's another month gone. Boo hiss.

For any ladies that are taking levothyroxine - did your GP prescribe this for you? I took Mr Shehata's results to mine today but she said that until my TSH levels are over 10 she won't prescribe me anything. This is despite acknowledging that my levels need to be below 2 for a healthy pregnancy. She said I had to buy the drugs myself and then stop taking them after I've had a baby and basically sit and wait until the TSH goes over 10 before coming back. Hmm

Anyhow (!) moan over, wishing everyone a lovely rest of the day :) :) :) x

Lisachick1 · 31/03/2016 14:02

Hey Billy - how are you doing?

My history was 3 early miscarriages at 8 wks, 6wks and 6.5 wks in space of just over a year aged 42-43. Already had a dd at 40 years old. Saw Dr Shehata he said I had high NK cells but they did seem to respond to steroids so put me on what I think is his basic plan.
25mg preds
Aspirin
Vit d
Intralipids as soon as preg and every 4 wks til 16 wks
Progesterone pessaries from when preg too til 16 weeks

I have been so lucky in that we conceived soon after seeing him for results. And fingers crossed has all worked out so far. Have had other issues along way - incompetent cervix and stitch put in, crazy allergic reaction to progesterone (hives and itching all over, face swelling up and all sorts!) which didn't show up til off the preds, gestational diabetes and now have found out in last 2 days that I now have suspected obstetric cholestasis which is not good for the baby so they want to get him out asap. Scared! Earliest they can induce me is Sunday but want them to get him out before am terrified of him not surviving til then - I know I'm being mad but after everything I've been through...

So yes, Sunday is the big day I'll be 38 weeks.

PS just to say to all, from a conceiving point of view we did it every other day or at least every 3 days from about 3 days after period ending, didn't wait for the exact day of ovulation. I think sperm have to be hanging out and waiting in there (they can survive up to 5 days in there) for egg to arrive. Whenever I waited til ovulation I think we kept missing the egg! xxxx

Lisachick1 · 31/03/2016 14:06

Drttc I don't remember having that with my pregnancies but please try not to worry (easy to say) - just remember you can call triage I think any time after 20 weeks and go in to be checked over. I've done it loads, they are usually really understanding especially when you explain your history x

Lisachick1 · 31/03/2016 14:15

Didn't mean that to sound like you should go to triage by the way, am sure it is fine and just a pregnancy twinge or ache or pain so many crazy things happening in your body. But triage are just there to put your mind at rest if you're worried! X

Tumtimes1 · 31/03/2016 14:20

Hiya Lisa I can understand your worry but they have you fully monitored so all will be fine! Its all about the movement. On my first live baby (after three MC's) they wanted to induce me at 38 weeks as I was on clexane. But in the end I had to have an elective C section as baby was transverse. I think I was in and out that hospital on a trace so many times to check the movement but I wanted to be extra sure all was ok! Have you had lots of itching from the cholestatis?
May I ask why/how they worked out you needed the stitch? I would like my cervix monitored and I just wondered what they look out for?x

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 31/03/2016 14:31

drttc I've lost count now of the weird aches and pain. I know some women get rib pain because the ligaments between their ribs get a bit too stretchy, just like pelvic girdle pain. How are you now?

tumtimes I've been getting this! It's so embarrassing. I do pelvic floor exercises but I'm think maybe I'm not doing them right.

karryk could you try printing the nice guidelines and requesting to see another GP? That is really out of order for them to say that, I can only imagine having a tsh over 10 would make you feel horrendous let alone what it does to your fertility.

Drttc · 31/03/2016 15:27

Thanks Snoopy & Lisa!

Feeling better since! Rib is still sore but not that sharp jab I had. Spoke to two midwives and it may/may not be pregnancy related but it doesn't seem to be threatening in any way.

Don't have my anatomy scan until Tuesday (I'll be just over 21 weeks) and am just SO anxious about it. On Instagram I've followed two women who unexpectedly received bad news at that time and subsequently won't be having their babies... I just can't seem to ever fully relax into this. So I'm disappointed in myself for being scared as well :(

Seekingmiracles · 31/03/2016 16:56

Try not to worry Lisa, One of the other girls had that - rosa or sunny and both of their bubs arrived safe and sound. Like Tum said keeping an eye on movement. I'm sure if they have any concerns they'll have baby out before Sunday! Very exciting though! Not long at all!

Drttc - did you see that programme with the girl from Towie (bows head in shame)... She had a pain like that in her ribs and was told it was probably wind. Hope you're ok though. Try not to worry about your anomaly scan - easier said than done but the worry won't change anything. Just keep positive lovely Smile

I'm absolutely bricking it for my next scan on Tuesday. Have someone else at the clinic doing it as DrS is sunning himself in Jamaica! Wish I'd taken an appointment today and seen him before he went!
For some reason today my bruises from the fragmin are REALLY sore Hmm

How far are you along now tumtimes?

Trying - if you're reading this, know that you're always in our thoughts x

Drttc · 31/03/2016 19:23

Lisa- sorry I meant to reply to you as well! Don't worry I understood what you meant :) And completely understand your fears as I'm probably going to be acting just like you are! You're SO close Hun. You've got this!

Seeking- no I didn't see that on tv lol! Reassuring though. Yes I need to remember worrying doesn't help. ARGH!

Oh sunning in Jamaica... The good life! Did you just say you're scan is Tuesday too?! Scanxiety together!!! How many weeks will you be? This is the big milestone one I know. How are you feeling physically?

Seekingmiracles · 31/03/2016 19:27

You'll be fine Drttc, bubs needs to you to remain calm and positive xx
Scan is at 11.20. When's yours?
I'll be 11+4. Physically feel fine. The odd bout of hunger type nausea and boons are sore on and off. I'm constantly groping myself. Have to remind myself this is a new pregnancy, I've been on the drugs pre-conception and I was taking stuff to improve eggs. God willing everything will be ok. But I'm nervous as hell!

Drttc · 01/04/2016 08:19

Mine is at 11:45- practically the same time! Will be thinking of you.

Haha I know those feelings well. 'Morning sickness' was not what I pictured (due to the movies!) - but it's good you're feeling it. I think I remember boobs being less and less sore into the second trimester. I'm sure they've told you that after 10 weeks the chance of loss decreases the most? The reason they say 12 is the magic number is just because that's when most women have their first scan. That said- I knowwww it's so hard!
