Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

MrsKittenPie · 01/01/2016 20:48

hippy - good luck to you as well for testing! Could be a good day for BFPs tomorrow Smile I'm 39 in September- it makes me a bit eek too!

Pirsy1 · 01/01/2016 20:56

Hi! Happy New Year Everyone!

Stats:
Name: Pirsy
Age: 33 (just)
TTC: #1
Cycles: 15 (but worked away during the week for the first 10 or so of these so clinging on with my fingernails that this is a contributory reason why no BFP yet)
AF due: 26/01/16

Will be back on the 'schedule' soon!!

Pirsy1 · 01/01/2016 20:58

Also I have given up alcohol for Jan too!

MrsKittenPie · 01/01/2016 21:05

pirsy - yes I thought it was a good time to give up alcohol too - I've tried everything else on this long ttc journey so may as well try this too Hmm

hippybird · 01/01/2016 22:29

Me too! I'm also going to have a dry January! Good luck everyone!

Feefeefs · 02/01/2016 08:14

AF is here! One day late! I'm not too bothered actually tho I think this group is helping me get some perspective on the whole thing plus means body is definitely back to normal after the pill. Excited to get trying again and to have a nice meal and someWine on my birthday.

MrsKittenPie · 02/01/2016 09:05

fee - that's a really good perspective to have, definitely enjoy some Wine. It's good to know your body is back to normal after the pill too

PrtyPsn · 02/01/2016 09:10

Have a glass for me too fee glad you can see the positives of AF for this cycle :)
Looks like most of the gang is drying out with me now haha! It's easier than you think, I promise! And once you get so far into sobriety you wonder why you ever bothered with booze to start with (and trust me, I was a 'let's do shots' and still dancing at 4am when I've lost my shoes, kinda girl!)

Hi all! Just did a test and got a BFN (Internet cheapie), but still no AF! Very frustrating! Out of 20 recorded cycles on my app (I always record my cycles, even when I had the coil), I've only had one other 30 day cycle, and one 31 day cycle about a year and a half ago!! I just want my period to come now so I can get on with a healthier cycle for Jan!

MrsKittenPie · 02/01/2016 10:13

I hope it is easier than I think prty - I love a drink at the weekend!
Sorry for bfn hippy - maybe you are not out yet and it's just taking a while to show on a test?

MrsFlowers82 · 02/01/2016 10:52

Hi all - yes I am drying out for January too, I usually do it every year, a combination of wanting to be healthier and just being sick of festive boozing!

On another note, I have not looked at my fertility apps or checked any symptoms for about a month now. Not that we have rally been DTD that much, I was also staying with my dad for a few weeks while mum was in hospital, BUT I have decided to delete them and try and take a more relaxed approach this year. I have had so much to worry about with my mum (will find out in a few weeks if she needs anymore treatment now the op has been done) that I just don't want anything else to stress and obsess over. Sure anxiety is not good for me!

Hippy I am keeping everything crossed for you to kick start the 2016 BFPs!

hippybird · 02/01/2016 11:13

Hi all - and thanks flowers

2nd update of the morning for me. Just went to loo and think I can see signs AF has arrived. You know when you just know.

Still, at least I will be able to start a new cycle now, and am determined to have sex at the right time this time! We always seem to go too early or too late!
flowers I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your mum recovers well and doesn't need any more treatment. Were they checking her lymph glands?
feefs glad you can see the positives too - sorry for AFs arrival. Will we be cycle buddies? I'm usually about 25 days, apart from this rogue 31 day cycle! X

Feefeefs · 02/01/2016 12:08

Hope your mum is on the mend mrsflowers82

I think my cycle is back to 32 days hippy, that was the norm for me previously before the pill etc so think I'm back to my normal now so we'll probably be out of sync in future. I think actually getting AF makes me feel better hate the bfn and make me feel like we can start again and we know what's going on! I am a bit of a control freak at times tho!

PrtyPsn · 02/01/2016 12:35

fee I feel you - huge control freak here and TTC is one of the most uncontrollable things I've ever done!!!

OP posts:
neetie1 · 02/01/2016 12:52

Well we have pretty much decided rather than doing the every other day DTD we are going to try every day..might well be tired but at our age we just need to give it everything we have.

MrsKittenPie · 02/01/2016 13:56

mrsflowers I'm keeping everything crossed for your mum that she is recovering well and won't need any more treatment. I bet it has been so stressful for you. Good idea to delete the apps etc, I've decided to do the more relaxed approach- I've not filled my app in apart from cd1 and not bothered taking temp either.
hippy - yes I know that feeling when you just know, onwards and upwards for your next cycle though.
Total control freak here too! Hate the fact I can't manage to get pregnant!
neetie - sounds like a positive step for you - fingers crossed Smile

hippybird · 02/01/2016 15:20

Ah well fee, at least we can commiserate on the arrival of AF, and gee each other on with positivity! I might try and draw up a chart for us...
I am deffo a control freak too. Maybe why we're all on a board. Not liking being out of control, it helps to have somewhere to talk about it all and help try and make sense (take control) of it!
I'm also doing acupuncture, in a control freakish way. On cycle 5 with that (as of today), but I can basically discount two of those because of timing issues, so am feeling positive about the next one...
neetie well done to you! I have to say, I don't think me and DH could manage that!

MummyBex1985 · 02/01/2016 15:54

Hi all (waves)

After a horrible few weeks Ive decided to pop back and try and get back into the swing of things. It feels very weird to be back TTC though - my mum was one of the only people who knew and I feel very sad that I'm now going it without her.

Anyway - hope you're all well. I think this will be my 7th month TTC(?) although my brain isn't working too well at the moment! Not sure when AF is due - my cycle is all to pot again, AF lasted 11 days after my mum died (came on the day it happened) so I think the stress will send me out of whack for a while! I'd finally got into a 28 day/4 day AF cycle as well so if anyone cares to venture a guess as to when my AF is due then I'll happily take bets lol.

PrtyPsn · 02/01/2016 17:08

Hey bex nice to see you, my lovely, was thinking about you over Christmas xx

OP posts:
Pirsy1 · 02/01/2016 17:38

Ahhhhh Bex - its lovely to see you back.

Fee I think the positive is def that you've settled into a regular cycle so you know where you arw for trying again this month!

I am really looking forward to not drinking. I def overdid it over Christmas and hate myself a bit for it - looking forward to being a bit healthier! Ill be honest, Im feeling a bit sick of TTC ... I sort of want to give up but I cant, even if I did try Id still know all this stuff about fertile windows etc that I cant forget! Its all Ive thought about for 15 months!

Feefeefs · 02/01/2016 18:11

Might give the drinking a break myself next week onwards myself. Birthday Monday and then away next weekend so will wait till then! Not a massive drinker but probably drink 2 -3 glasses of wine 2-3 nights a week.

I guess these forums probably attract control freaks!

MrsFlowers82 · 02/01/2016 19:23

Just a quick one, will reply properly when I have more time, to say lovely to see you Bex. You have been in my thoughts.

Another control freak here too... Blush

SharyBobbins · 02/01/2016 23:13

Lovely to see you back Bex xxx

MrsKittenPie · 03/01/2016 00:01
