beaky, barking Grin

FortySixandTwo · 08/02/2016 11:05

Morning All,

Happy sorry for your bfn
Beaky glad you got to let your hair down and have a gin or two.
Barking Good news that your cycle has started to behave and your treatment is now scheduled.
Smidge Sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle.
Sesame - Hopefully the new clinic were just having an off day and will be back on form next contact.

My Scan this morning showed 7 follies on the right 4 above 15 and 3 under 10 and only 3 on the left all below 10. Around what I was expecting so not too disappointed. Back in for another scan on Wednesday so hoping the left side gets a growth spurt in the next few days .

Hope you all had a great weekend

beakybeak · 08/02/2016 14:27

Forty that's great, how long have you been stimming for now? Fx for a little growth spurt by Wednesday.

tigerdog · 08/02/2016 16:00

smidge I'm sorry things are becoming so complicated. Fingers crossed that it all works out. So hard to plan for anything whilst in the midst of ttc.

happy did you enjoy your wine at the weekend? Sounds like the lovely beaky was also on the sauce! Sometimes a blow out is required! I know how you feel about hating work beaky I've had some real periods of low motivation - I literally couldn't care less about working beyond needing the money. Very unlike me as I'm a bit of an ambitious person and have always been proud of my achievements and really into my work. I think you should go for it and apply for jobs - I've done it twice now when I've been uncertain and am glad I did otherwise I would still be stuck in an environment I hated. Big hug to you in the meantime and hope your Monday is going ok. Do you have any holidays planned? Now is the grim part of the year regardless, so time to get some little things to look forward to on the agenda!

forty that is all sounding very reasonable. My left ovary did nothing last time, which was a bit odd. Am hoping for more action as I'm on 300 rather than 150 menopur this time. How are you feeling? I found towards the end of stimming a bit tough - was a bit of a tearful stress head.

sesame how are you holding up? Am keeping everything crossed for you. Will you make it till OTD or test earlier?

barking are all the dates sorted for your cycle now? Guess you must be not far behind me - I will start stimming 19 Feb or so if all goes to plan haha

I had a fab little weekend away - stayed in a old French farmhouse, ate lovely food, had a wander round a cute old town, and we managed to buy all the wine for the wedding. Did a bit of wine tasting too, which was fun. Haven't gone completely booze free this time but am limiting myself to one glass a week.

Feel a bit disconnected from my cycle, just plodding along with it for now, not really thinking about it much. Guess it will feel more real once the stabbing kicks in on Thursday.

SesameSparkle · 09/02/2016 14:11

forty, those follie numbers looked good to me. Good luck for your scan tomorrow.

tiger, your weekend in France sounded really lovely. I’m sure the odd glass of something couldn’t do any harm, I was still going out when I was DR for my first LP cycle. Good luck with the stabbing.

happy any news on when you might get to put back some frosties?

beaky any further forward in thinking through your next steps?

Wow, I read back my mega ranty post from Saturday, sorry about all that. Not much happening over here. 2ww is still progressing, a few progesterone fuelled symptoms that are sending me a little batty, but I’m still hanging on in there.

What are all the other berries up to?

Smidge001 · 09/02/2016 21:35

Hi sesame when's OTD?

Seems it was a good job they didn't put my frostie back - My usual pre-AF spotting started yesterday. Seems the spotting and probably therefore, my period come at the same point each month no matter when I ovulate! Clearly my progesterone rises and falls independently of ovulation! Grin. Anyway, I'm hoping this means I'll get AF in the next 7-10 days which should allow another attempt at loading the frostie on board. FX assuming cycle plays ball next month and I'm not so convinced about that anymore
I'm not sure about a medicated FET sesame. I think my aim with the FET rather than putting it back fresh, was to improve endometrium and reduce all the fake hormones in my body, thus in theory trying to improve chances. But clearly if my body isn't playing ball this may backfire on me. Confused

Tiger your trip to France sounds amazing! I love France and am looking forward to being able to do a few trips there once we get back to england.

clementineclouds · 10/02/2016 12:31

smidge really hope your cycle behaves itself, and does what you need it to do, when you need it to do it.

seasame hope your coping okay with your 2w mind fuck , sorry mean 2ww. we should really try and create a fool proof distraction list.

tiger your weekend away sounds lovely...reminds me, need to hassle dh into booking somewhere soon. we really need a holiday.

hi to everyone else.

so I'm over hear, sitting on the chair of cyst reduction ( blimey, that sounds horrible...note to self, don't ever say that again ) Smile . dutifully taking the pill, and counting the days down to my day 21 planning app, the week after next, where hopefully they will tell me my cysts have gone and we can start IVF/ICSI.

time feels like its really dragging tho (probably because I want it to hurry up). think I need that distraction list too.

FortySixandTwo · 10/02/2016 13:55

Beaky Thanks, I have been stimming 8 days now Dr at today's scan has said its about as good as its going to get with my low amh level.

Tiger Thanks am currently on 450 of Merional and lefty still hadn't done very much. I thought I was doing ok with the stims emotionally but I had an almighty row with the husband yesterday over a pack of egg noodles and when they had been bought, he was very unreasonable Wink and I locked myself in the bedroom after yelling fuck off at the top of my lungs and refused to speak to him for the rest of the night Blush

Sesame Thank you. How are you getting on ?

So I'm Triggering tonight and in for egg collection on Friday, am massively nervous about this part (the only part that's really been bothering me) The thing that's concerning me more than anything else is the anesthetic.

Hope you are all doing well ?

barkingtreefrog · 10/02/2016 18:52

forty good luck for Friday. I didn't have anesthetic for egg collection, just mild sedation and pain relief. I was talking all the way through!

tiger start downregging on 21st and potentially stims on 4th March if scan and blood test that day are okay, so I'm a couple of weeks behind you!

My last week has been house selling hell. Instead of moving house on Monday, we have been in limbo since last Thursday when it looked like we were putting it back on the market and potentially losing the house we want to move to. Nightmares, stress and not sleeping. It seems we've reached a compromise at our end of the chain but don't feel secure. Other end of the chain still hasn't got searches back though so we have no idea when we might be exchanging contracts. At this rate, possibly the day of egg collection. Sod's law. Just what we need right now!

clementineclouds · 10/02/2016 21:37

forty hope the triggering is going okay, and that you are coping okay, with the EC on Friday. afraid I can't offer any advice, as I'll be going through my first ivf/icsi in march (so sure I'll be feeling the same). all I will say, is things are rarely as bad as we imagine them to be.

barking bloody hell, what an absolute nightmare your having with your house stuff....even when it goes well, its still stressful, so I can't imagine how your managing to cope. hope it improves soon.

SesameSparkle · 11/02/2016 13:23

smidge fingers crossed af arrives quick, so you can get that frostie on board. My otd is tomorrow.

clem I’m trying to send you calming cyst reduction vibes. Fingers crossed everything is as it should be by your planning appointment. I like the idea of a distraction list. I only have work and constant new baby updates from my bro and dsil… Envy.

fourty best of luck for ec tomorrow. Most of the anaesthetists I’ve had have been lovely and sympathetic, and you should have a chance to have a chat before you go in - just let them know your concerns and hopefully they can make you feel more at ease. I’ll be refreshing my phone for updates, so don’t forget to come back here and let us know how you got on Smile.

barking really sorry about the house selling nightmare, that’s so not what you need right now.

So otd is tomorrow. I’ve booked a blood test in my local fc, as I live far too far away from the one I’m being treated at. I already got a bfn on a pee stick, so I’m not expecting very much. I am however looking forward to stopping the meds and losing the bloat.

tigerdog · 11/02/2016 19:37

I feel as though time is going both painfully slowly and really quickly - like it's taking forever to actually get going with my cycle whilst at the same time days and weeks are slipping through my fingers. Weird.

How are you feeling sesame? I'm sorry about the bfn and hoping the blood test might just tell a different story.

Good luck tomorrow forty! I had EC under general and it was straight forward - much lighter than general for an actual operation I found, so felt right as rain afterwards. A few cramps and bloating from the procedure - are you taking the day off after? Let us know how you get on! Sounds like there is a bit of the stims crazy kicking in there. Wink This time around I've sat Mr Tiger down and said that, if I seem argumentative or overly bothered by something in the next few weeks, to just remember that it's likely to be the drugs talking, and to be patient and not rise to it! Remains to be seen as to whether he'll heed the warning!

clem I hope your cyst is disappearing fast so you can get going. Waiting is so tedious! Defintely get booking a holiday. I always need one to look forward to! We've got a cottage in Wales booked for after the wedding, and a proper honeymoon island hopping in Croatia in June/July. Has been tricky to plan as didnt as want to risk going too far post ivf in case it does actually work.

Yes, you're likely to be exactly two weeks behind me barking as I'm expecting EC to be 3/4 March if dates line up. Ugh the moving stuff sounds tricky. Hope things are resolved soon!

Fingers crossed for af speedy arrival smidge!

beaky how are you?

First injection of the cycle tonight - back on the Burserelin. The northisterone is giving me achey ovaries but fine. Must keep my water intake up too, as I'm terrible when busy at work.

Hope everyone is ok. Nearly the weekend - first one at home in three weekends and am looking forward to relaxing!

barkingtreefrog · 11/02/2016 20:50

clem yep, time is dragging, and YES book a holiday!!! Grin

sesame for tomorrow.

tiger I am SO ready for the weekend!!

More house shit again today. Hopefully saved by a very angry DH refusing to be fucked around any longer. They are going back on their offer and making more unreasonable demands, but apparently by saying enough and threatening to put the house back on the market, we are bullying them.
Dickheads.

beakybeak · 11/02/2016 21:26

Forty I've only been sedated for ec and apart from the first time it was fine. The silver lining is that it's over fairly quickly and then tiu need to crank up Barry and dim the lights! Best of luck lady, let us know how you get on.

Sesame so sorry it was a bfn on a pee stick, I'll be checking in for your blood results too. Would you maybe switch to another clinic? Were there any others at the show you were keen on? Flowers and Chocolate

Barking what a fuck on. I really hope you can get moved soon, ec and a move on the same day is just not doable. Fx.

Tiger that sounds like a lovely weekend! Exciting year so far for you! How long til you start your new job? I've put a couple of applications in now, one Id love but I don't think I'll get.

Smidge how strange, but hoping f rocks up quickly for you to get this frostie back on board. How long have you got left? Is the ship at its destination now?

Clem hoping for a cyst free scan next time. As a fellow cystie berry I know how frustrating it is. When is the appointment?

I think I'll be cycling again at the end of March, possibly, but waiting to hear about protocols from the clinic. I've not felt overly enamoured with them so far so will see how things go with this cycle.

barkingtreefrog · 12/02/2016 06:30

Good luck for EC today forty Flowers

And thinking of you today as well sesame Flowers

Cake and Chocolate needed for both of you.

happylass · 12/02/2016 07:29

Just popping in quickly to say good luck to forty for EC. Will catch up properly this eve when I'll be on half term. Yipeeeeeeee!

OP posts:
beakybeak · 12/02/2016 08:39

Forty best of luck for ec today!

Sesame thinking of you lovely, and crossing everything just in case. Flowers

Smidge001 · 12/02/2016 09:37

So sorry sesame Flowers

Hope EC goes well forty, and the anaesthetic isn't too scary.

FortySixandTwo · 12/02/2016 17:38

Hi ladies, Thank you for all the luck and thoughts, they've worked wonders as the hospital were able to retrieve 9 eggs which the consultant thought was bloody marvelous as she had told us we would probably get two or three max.
The anesthetic was ok although I woke up a bit tearful and shivery but I've had that reaction to it before so it was nothing to worry about. I've spent most of the day sleeping and feeling a bit tender but am now feeling much better about to settle down to some dinner and a movie I think. I'll be hearing from the consultant tomorrow as regard to quality and things

Sesame Hope the test went ok, I have everything crossed for you

Hope you're all doing well ?

barkingtreefrog · 12/02/2016 18:56

Amazing news forty Grin fx for fertilisation.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrin

beakybeak · 12/02/2016 21:16

Wow 9 is amazing Forty! You must be so pleased! Come on Barry, do your thing! Fx for a great night of fertilisation Grin will be checking in for updates tomorrow.

tigerdog · 12/02/2016 22:18

Great news forty! Good luck for the call tomorrow.

Jealous of your holiday time happy! Enjoy it, you totally deserve it! Real champagne time Grin.

Anyone else started their cycle with northisterone? Am feeling a bit achey in the ovary and pelvic areas, slightly odd feeling and was quite sore earlier.

Quiet weekend ahead, yoga first thing tomorrow then wedding jobs and a spot of shopping.

Anyone have exciting Valentine's day plans?
We'll take the dog for a countryside walk and cook dinner, so not much different to a usual Sunday, but pretty perfect in my book!

SesameSparkle · 13/02/2016 00:30

forty woohoo, that's eggsellent! Gonna get some spice girls on too to help 2 become 1 in the lab tonight.

tiger yeah I had all those sorts of weird achy feelings on the norethisterone, it's not unusual. Your weekend sounds lovely. I'm booked in to early yoga tomorrow too. And might also get the train to the big city for a girly lunch.

barking so sorry about the moving house shit. Really hope you get a date sorted soon.

beaky, wow March is just around the corner. Really hope you find the protocol for you.

happy hooray for half term! Enjoy your time off!

Got my blood test done at the satellite to my old clinic this morning. That brought back strange feelings. Even saw my old doc there, when he wandered into the waiting room in search of coffee. Bfn is confirmed, so no miracles for me today. Sad Thanks for all the support and nice comments berries, it means a lot. Sesembie - you were a lovely looking thing that didn't amount to much, but I will miss you.

FortySixandTwo · 13/02/2016 10:50

Hi Ladies,

The Clinic have called and only 6 of the 9 were mature but all 6 have fertilised, the Spice girls worked their magic in the lab ! I am back in for transfer on Monday apparently Shock I do need to speak to the consultant at some point as she told me we were on an 8 week protocol but its been more like 6 so I have no idea where the other two weeks have gone.

Tiger your day sounds blissful have a lovely weekend. I downloaded a water drinking reminder app (sounds stupid) but it really helped me it makes a beep every hour to top up the water, There are loads on the play store.
Barking So sorry your house selling has turned into a nightmare for you fxd they manage to pull their fingers out before egg collection for you, as that sort of stress is not what you need.
Clementine Hoping your cysts 'do one' in the next few days. A weekend away sounds fab !
Sesame Im sorry for the BFN. what a rubbish outcome. Will you try a new clinic as you didn't feel they had the professionalism of your previous clinic ?
Smidge Hoping your cycle allows for transfer in time. !
Happy Happy holidays what are your plans do you have to dedicate time to Marking assignments and things or is it all your own time. ?

Smidge001 · 13/02/2016 11:36

Congrats Forty 6 fertilised is great. How come they know already that they'll transfer on Monday? Does that mean they only ever do 3 day transfers? With 6 you might get a blasto, so maybe they just have a blanket policy. Mine have all been taken to day 5/6 so I like to believe the theory that the day 3ers that didn't make it in the Petri dish wouldn't have made it in the womb either. though clearly with none of my blasts working out I have moments where I wonder if popping back 3 day 3ers would have yielded a different outcome
