Beaky, I think it supposed to be just while you are stimming.

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2016 08:38

Tiger I find with the mooncup that once I've put it in I pull it down a little to make sure it's snug. I've had tiny bits of leakage but nothing that might not have just already been below the mooncup when I put it in, if that makes sense?!

Smidge I am not having the scratch this time but I'm already terrified that I've made the wrong decision! My consultant doesn't recommend it, he just does it for clients who ask. I've also been pg twice without having a scratch so it that respect maybe I don't need it? But would the scratch have helped them stick around?! It's a total head fuck. The scratch didn't stop me miscarrying the last one. And it was fucking painful (not the actual cutting bit, as usual it was the manoeuvring of the speculum to get access to my misaligned cervix) as well as expensive.

Beaky have you thought about getting your nk cells tested? Not sure if you've already been down this line.

RP you've already got the answer I would have given from Sesame :).

Happy sorry the lubion is proving unpleasant obviously all the other injections are a joy could you change site? Leg rather than stomach or something?

Sesame hoping for some more good news from you this morning!!!

No update here. Cd76 since the last mc and nowt. I'll be back to the clinic for another look this week and hopefully some drugs to get it going.
House move is a fucking nightmare. Was hoping to move a week tomorrow but buyers are making unreasonable demands (insisting on retrospective building consent for work that we don't believe ever happened?!) useless solicitors are not communicating (not just ours) and the end of the chain has just got one bigger .

GrinAndTonic · 30/01/2016 10:33

Hi everyone
Took me a while to find you all but I'm back. I haven't read the thread so have some catching up to do.
After the last round we needed to reconsider our plan. So as of this afternoon we have found ourselves two donor embryos and will be heading down that route.
I hope everyone is well though!

Smidge001 · 30/01/2016 11:46

RP I second the other comments. I had a laparoscopy, which I think is the same as a hysteroscopy so happy to give more details if needed.

Barking sorry about the long wait. I'm with you on the scratch (or lack thereof). No proof with me either that it makes a difference so I'm going to stick to my guns, believe your consultant and assume it's all down to the egg.

Beaky our ship has now left its brief stop in Adelaide, and seemingly won't stop again before reaching Singapore. Looking at the map this is really quite some distance and I'm a little surprised its ETA is the 7th Feb! Will keep keen watch Grin - this could make a change from the tww!

Yes, I had my blood test this morning - and results say I've not yet ovulated, and apparently they don't want me back again until Tuesday! That'll be day 19. I'm certain (despite my longer cycles) that I've ALWAYS ovulated by Day 16, and it's my LP that is longer. So I'm v surprised they aren't getting me back at least on Monday. I asked if I'd get a scan then too at least, but they said AliG wants to see my oestrogen level rise before she bothers with that. Hurumph. I'm now wondering whether I should buy some pee sticks to check my own LH. Why do our cycles never play ball?!!

Smidge001 · 30/01/2016 11:53

grin I'm glad you have a plan. Where did the 2 donor embryos come from? (Might be a daft question, sorry, I just assumed there'd be a big waiting list, no idea if you can 'choose' any donor characteristics etc)

tries not to get too interested as have already decided this FET marks the end of the parenthood road for us

RevoltingPeasant · 30/01/2016 14:04

Hi beaky and smidge and barking - and everyone! Yes, mini-RP is fine thanks :)

Yes, I think it must be a hysteroscopy. She had one scan (hysterosonogram???) which revealed polyps and she said for this new procedure, which they called an 'operation', she will be sedated and they will go in thru the cervix. Does that sound right?

Basically my question was going to be, how rough do you feel afterwards? Because she is currently thinking of going to work the next day - she's a baker, so hot kitchen, up early, on her feet etc - and I don't think this is a good idea.

barking do you think the stress of moving house has anything to do with it this time?

RevoltingPeasant · 30/01/2016 14:05

And can I just say, I miss you guys! The copter kind of died on its arse last year, and I don't really do Faceache.........

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2016 17:21

rp I'd be inclined to say no, because the house stuff didn't get stressful until this month, by which time I was already cd55+ so wouldn't explain why it hadn't arrived before then.
I haven't had a hysteroscopy but I know a couple of women on the rmc thread have recently and they were okay the next day.

beakybeak · 30/01/2016 20:21

RP yes that sounds right for a hysteroscopy. If she's had sedation before and been ok then she will probably be fine the next day, but it probably wouldn't hurt to take if off just in case. Glad to hear you and mini RP are both doing well!

Grin great news you've found some donor embies! That was fast too. How did that come about if you don't mind me asking?

Smidge that's a good distraction from the 2ww! That sounds like a very late ov, maybe you should get some sticks just to be sure? Also, I've had two scratches now and nada, so.

Barking come on bloody af! You have waited long enough. Really hope you get a move date sorted too, what a pain in the arse.

Thinking of you Sesame.

GrinAndTonic · 30/01/2016 20:26

Smidge I put an ad on the Australian Donor Embryo network page. Think gumtree for embryos. It's all legal and once you find a donor then your clinics do most of the work. There is counselling, medicals etc involved though.

SesameSparkle · 30/01/2016 20:57

happy sorry to hear about your problems with lubion. I’m going to be using gestone this cycle, I was offered the lubion but it’s twice the price.

lucie best of luck with the hysteroscopy, hope they give you the all clear.

beaky, yes what lucie said, only during stims. You’re not meant to take melatonin if ttc naturally as it can stop you ovulating.

smidge really sorry your cycle is not playing ball, fx for the scan on Monday.

barking really sorry about af and that all the house move stuff is a big nightmare right now. Fx it gets sorted very soon, else we’ll have to build a berry barricade outside the solicitors offices.

grin welcome back, I’m so glad you have a plan, donor embryos sounds like a great idea for oh so many reasons. How much will you know about the donors? Are they embryos from frosties donated by a couple who longer needs them then? Btw, lots of great general resources on donor conception network website (UK based), if you haven’t heard of them.

Thanks for all the good wishes berries, Barry worked his magic and my little egg has fertilized, so we’re going ahead with et tomorrow!

beakybeak · 30/01/2016 22:07

Grin come on Sesembie Smile

Smidge001 · 31/01/2016 06:23

All the best for ET sesame

happylass · 31/01/2016 08:51

Good luck Sesame!!

barkingtreefrog · 31/01/2016 09:04

Good luck for today sesame Flowers

tigerdog · 31/01/2016 09:27

Grin at sesembie. Good luck today!

beakybeak · 31/01/2016 10:30

Thinking of you and Sesembie today, Sesame everything crossed.

SesameSparkle · 31/01/2016 15:09

Thanks for all the good wishes berries! Sesembie is a 4 cell top grader and is now on board!

Had to rush straight after and only just made it on to my train home. Hoping sesembie didn't go anywhere. Fingers crossed.

FortySixandTwo · 31/01/2016 16:04

Beaky my First scan is due on Wednesday morning which is when Im also due to start the cetrotide too. So sorry for the bfn, but hope you have managed to enjoy some all the wine and relaxation this weekend.

Sesame Thank you its going well so far, Congrats to you and your embie on board, Take care of yourself now plenty of R and R for you.

Happy Yes its my first time round am feeling much calmer about the jabs now. Ooh sorry to hear about your bleeding and bruising with the Jabs, I'm having the same problems, the first two injections were fine but the second lot i've managed to bruise and scratch both legs.

Barking So sorry your move it getting stressful, It really can be so annoying trying to move house.

Smidge good luck for the scan Monday.

Did anyone have any problems injecting Merional ? the actual sticking the needle in myself was fine and easy but depressing the plunger I found it was quite tough to do I had to use a lot more force than I thought I would for an injection. Is this normal or have I done something wrong. Hope everyone's making the most of the weekend.

RevoltingPeasant · 31/01/2016 21:12

barking sorry about AF - that is really shitty.

Thanks for the answers on DSis op everyone. She is having it on Thurs. She has been trying for so long and had a chemical pg last spring which was just cruel. I really want this to happen for her.

sesembie is genius Grin

beakybeak · 31/01/2016 22:09

I hope it goes well for her, RP and definitley send her here if she needs some support. This ttc lark is the cruelest thing.

Forty I find the solutions which are thicker more difficult to push in, I also had merional originally (very first ivf) I found depressing the syringe slowly made it hurt less.

Happy how are you doing? Hoping the 2ww is passing uneventfully.

sesame I hope you're feeling ok and are chilling at home. Everything crossed for Sesembie.

What's people's opinions on the endometrial receptivity array? Has anyone had it? Possibly Barking? Just considering all possible tests.... Although I get the impression this is more beneficial to people who have fet's.

beakybeak · 31/01/2016 22:10

Also Tiger, when do you start with the norithisterone? (sp?)

SesameSparkle · 01/02/2016 14:02

forty thanks. I haven’t used merional sorry, the only similar thing I’ve been on was menopur, which was ok. I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but have you been given 2ml or 1ml syringes? The smaller ones are much harder to depress. What drugs and doses are you on by the way during stims?

RP best of luck to your dsis for Thursday!

beaky I was given a glossy leaflet for the endometrial array when I asked about what could be done for failed implantation. I didn’t read it , but I could email it to you if you want. I think there’s also something about fresh cycle antagonist IVF that contributes to that issue of your endometrium not being on the correct day to accept the embryo (which is why some think FETs are better), but I can’t really remember the reasons why . I think it’s less of an issue for other protocols.

Got home last night after long train journey, following ET. Had to properly gear myself up to do the injections last night. I am not looking forward to 2 weeks of this, especially given how stabbing light the first few days have been. So I stuck the gestone vial in my bra to warm up , did some other household tasks to procrastinate a little, and then decided I would change into my pjs first, to make myself more comfortable before gearing up to stab myself in the arse. So I took my bra off, and the vial flies out and smashes onto my wooden floor. Cue lots of running around to retrieve bits of glass from bedroom floor and mop up oil. So I now have a nice shiny, slippy floor, and I’m £5 down and one vial short… Hmm

clementineclouds · 02/02/2016 15:51

seasame I know the whole age thing is more of an issue for me than anyone else..I just need to get over it. glad to hear your et went well yesterday? what a nightmare tho, about the smashed vial. I think you need to design a bra with a special pocket, to hold them Smile...

happy how is the stabbing going...has it got any better?

barking how you holding up...still no sign of af? must be beyond frustrating. sorry to hear you are having some moving issues...like you need the stress.

smidge did your scan go okay today?

so, af turned up today for me (didn't think clomid was going to have worked), so am gutted again today. will start on the pill tomorrow, to get rid of my little friends (cysts), so we can start ivf/icsi on the next cycle at the beginning of march. just want to start, am feeling very impatient with all this at the moment.

its weird wanting it to start, but at the same time telling myself it may not work, at the same time trying not to be negative, because it could work...aaarrrggghhh.

barkingtreefrog · 02/02/2016 21:55

beaky not had that one, sorry.

sesame there's no way I would not notice a vial in my bra and forget it was there as I don't have much else to fill it! I dropped a vial on a tiled floor when injecting in the toilets in Morocco airport and I caught it just before it rolled out of the cublicle, fortunately it didn't smash!

AF finally arrived!!!!!! Grin

After only 77 days.. .Angry
