Join us. It's a boat. Full of okp's and symptom spotting and insanity! But also much love and support! We were supposed to start next month, we already have a few bfp's! Our dps don't know what's hit them!

Dubb as follows:

Nausea
Burping and bloated
Stomach hurts if I rest stuff on it (could be the wind)
Period pains going into my legs at and groin (sometimes had groin pain on the pill), worst at night
Boobs look quite big, not sore though, nips fine
INSOMNIA!!! But weirdly lots of energy

Dubbya · 16/12/2015 18:23

Wow, that's all sounding positive iykwim! Not fun to go through though I imagine!

Snowdog37 · 16/12/2015 18:25

You do have to read through lots of menopause reviews too. Sorry 😜

Pinklily1 · 16/12/2015 18:40

Lana, crappy that AF has made an appearance. Fingers crossed its a short one and you can move on to more TTC!!

Starky, Ovia has my fertile week as this week. However, I'm not convinced by it. I had really bad headaches last week, which I have had before around what I think was ovulation. I also got my strongest OPKs last Wednesday and Thursday and they have only got lighter since. Have had sticky CM (sorry, TMI) last week and this week but never noticed EWCM. The strong line photo is last weeks, the other one (with the blue control line) is from last night. I know it's meant to be darker than the control line but can only assume I missed that point last week, otherwise it doesn't make sense to me that the OPKs are getting fainter if this is meant to be fertile week! Am also having slight period like cramps and lots of bloating this week.

And this is tonight's OPK, another big fat negative

Pink is it your first cycle off the pill? What CD are you? I didn't get a positive opk until cd21-22, and they were always negative in the evening....hang in there.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 16/12/2015 19:14

I think you might have ovulated early ya know pink if it were me, I'd think the two pink lines were actually fairly similar. I tested earlier this afty and got a faint second line, will see what tomorrow brings for that, but I've got a distinct lack of ovulation symptoms, other than my clicky left tummy area, and it feels sorta twingy, nothing, but thats been happening since Monday, so it's entirely possible I've just tweaked an inner muscle. Which used to happen all the time when I was exercising. Does that mean you have a shorter cycle? Or a longer one? I'm confused by cycles, not gonna lie!

snow that sounds interesting, I was reading about the balance activ conceive gel earlier, which must be a similar sort of thing but minus the hormones?

shelb I'm still feeling positive for you. You're not out yet!

mor to be fair, your doctor sounds like a knob! dub runner how are you both doing tonight?

LanadelLol · 16/12/2015 19:23

Me too pink! Will be making sure DP and I make full use of the 2 weeks off at Christmas!
Snow that cream sounds quite good, I think I'll have a look at that.
Pink that sounds strange with your CM. What CD are you on? I've personally not used the OPKs before as I think I can tell when I am ovulating by my CM. I'll see if I manage a BFP next month before I start trying them out.

Pinklily1 · 16/12/2015 19:37

Shelb, no I came off the pill in mid September. My first cycle off the pill was something like 34 days and my last one was 28 days.

I'm on CD 20 according to Ovia, with this being peak fertile day (that made me chuckle given the OPK result tonight!). I'll keep testing though, it's encouraging to know you ovulated on CD21 ish.

Pinklily1 · 16/12/2015 19:39

Starky I thought those two lines were fairly similar too but he ovulation indicator one was definitely slightly lighter. I just test at night so it's possible it hit peak darkness the next morning though I suppose and I missed it.

I'll confess I find the whole cycle thing bamboozling, which is worrying when it's my own body!!

Snowdog37 · 16/12/2015 19:52

natural-fertility-info.com/progesterone-fertility-qa.html

This is interesting too.

Dubbya · 16/12/2015 19:55

Thanks snow I will navigate the menopause bits!

I am currently of the opinion I'm out this month as don't really feel anything unusual starky but, as they say, not out until af is here!

I'm just hopeful for a return to a normal cycle after so long on the pill. Bamboozling is definitely the word for it all pink hehe!

LanadelLol · 16/12/2015 20:11

I definitely think it'll take a couple of cycles for Ovia to catch on and be more accurate, especially with your first cycle being 34 days. Your body might be regulating too.

On a lighter more off the topic note, all my Christmas shopping is complete and wrapped! I always get into an organising kind of mood when AF is here! 🎄⛄️🎁

Runner05 · 16/12/2015 20:30

Bugger! I did a post ages ago but it didn't post! Grrrr...

Shelb yep I'm back to work tomorrow. I'm on half days until Christmas then it's back to normal in the new year. Grin
Your symptoms are sounding really positive. I really wouldn't be surprised if you do get BFP this month but if you don't you shouldn't feel silly for talking about it on here. That's what we're all here for. We are the village and all that bum fluff Wink

We're going to have to think of a name for smarmy gits who get upduffed on the first month Wink x

Stark totally agree that sometimes you have to take a step back and be grateful for everything you have. Gives you a but of perspective. Smile

Lan so sorry you're out this month but look on the bright side, time to paaaaar-tay then get back on the horse (so to speak) in a weeks timeWink

Drink and Dub symptoms or no, you're not out until the witch shows up blatantly ignores my own advice

Pink I'd say that opk is only a hair off of positive. You probably just missed the peak. Unless you're a freak like me and get multiple days of peak, I've read that it can be very hard to catch.

So I now have just about zero symptoms. I'm not even that fussed about testing anymore as I think I'm just wasting my time. I've bought a FRER to use on Friday when Ovia says to test but if it's a BFN I'm just going to assume I'm out, have a drink and wait until AF shows up the excitement of testing has turned to boredom

Pinklily1 · 16/12/2015 20:36

Runner, I think you are right. I might update Ovia to show I ovulated last week.

I think its good that testing has turned to boredom for you. Sounds strange I know but it may take some pressure off? Hope the return to work goes ok tomorrow too.

Dubya - what CD are you?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 16/12/2015 20:41

I've become ever so slightly obsessed with pregnancy test/announcement YouTube videos. Grin I would dearly love to catch this month hiiiiighly unlikely as it's my dsis birthday about 10 days after I can test in Jan, so I'd love to tell her on her b'day. Especially because our dps are away over her b'day so she's staying with us plus two more dogs It's a pipe dream though! One of those lovely day dreams! Is anyone else planning on videoing their partners/family reactions?

pink i get that totally, I'm not going to test again till tomorrow now, no point anyway today as Dh has now been out for like 14.5 hours! And won't be back till at least 3 am! But bodies are so confusing!

runner as we keep saying, you're not out till you're out! That's like our mantra! Grin same goes for drink dub and shelb Xmas Grin

OP posts:
Dubbya · 16/12/2015 20:44

pink ovia is saying I'm CD25 but it's only my first month post pill so I don't expect it to be accurate. I wasn't paying attention to anything for the first 1.5 weeks, like ewcm or other ovulation symptoms as I didn't know about it all! So no idea of I've ovulated or not.

The only odd thing is I got a (tmi alert!) tiny one-wipe bleed as it were amongst some cm about 6 days ago. Not sure what to make of it?!! Any ideas? Trying desperately not to get my hopes up and read into it!

LanadelLol · 16/12/2015 20:48

Guys what are FRER?
Hope you enjoy the transition back into work runner it'll keep you occupied and depending were you work, it might be nice and quiet just like it is in my office atm x

shelbTa · 16/12/2015 20:50

runner I know what you mean - now it's like yeah either turn positive or let me know I'm out, can't be arsed with look at / dealing with / collecting / testing any more PISS!!!!! I'm pissed out. Pissed out and cocked out.

Currently sat next to OH trying to hold in my farts, no one bring a match near me for christs sake. Had enough!

X

Pinklily1 · 16/12/2015 20:56

Lan - i think FRER is the First Response pregnancy tests? I may be wrong though!

drinkyourmilk · 16/12/2015 20:57

Oh shelb I disgust myself with my fats atm. Foul!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 16/12/2015 21:53

I never hold in my farts around Dh, frequently he'll tell me how he can't believe something so short and sweet can produce such smells! I'm most proud of the noisy ones. I'm appreciate I'm disgusting and lucky to be married.

I was very conservative early on, held in my fluffs and was fairly ladylike...until we woke up one day and the illusion had been shattered. Apparently I'm an EPIC sleep farter! He calls it nocturnal nasal assault Xmas Grin

But the moral of my story is, if you hold in your farts, you might explode in the night...straight up your husbands nose

OP posts:
LanadelLol · 16/12/2015 22:18

starky you're too funny 😂 I was the same until one day I forgot where I was and let out a belter. I was so embarrassed. When we first moved in together I would never go poopsy for the first 4 months.. I would always go to mums.. It got so bad tho I had terrible stomach pains/problems.. Long gone are those days though 🙈

drinkyourmilk · 16/12/2015 22:56

So getting ready for bed my husband exclaims "bloody hell drink, your boobs are massive!". I get all excited thinking I'm getting lucky on a none pressure night, when he dives out the bedroom and returns with the digital kitchen scales. Man child!!

And yes, he's right. They are quite a handful Blush. Alas they've been that way for years.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 16/12/2015 23:21

Haha drink my Dh says the exact same thing! They do engorge slightly at certain points in my cycle but I'm chesty anyway, but it always makes me laugh, unless they're tender and he gropes in which case he gets one warning and if he continues, I do the same to his balls! Xmas Grin

Did you weight them? My Dh wouldn't have the foresight to do it accurately with scales!
