Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

MC in October, period came on time November, since then zilch..

corgi88 · 29/12/2015 16:23

Thanks lovely viroids! chat I didn't know you too had a double womble! I'm also so sorry for all the crap you've been through, one of these is bad enough. Still waiting for something to actually pass, cramps not as bad today. Been for a nice walk.
ain I know exactly how you feel. 😘 Seem to be hitting the first wave of babies after a wave of weddings last year. It's so hard seeing all the Christmassy fb statuses about how "next year we will have a 6 month old! " I feel really horrible for humphing about it but sometimes you just can't help it eh.
sock yay! Just veg out and rest! Best thing after nights.
coffee I'm guessing you have POAS? All I know from the other viroids is that mc can mess your cycle up a bit. Spiffing eh.

How soon did people start trying again after mc? Do you have to wait til the bleeding stops? I've already started panicking over what I could have done at 5-6 weeks to cause the mc, did I drink too much before I found out, did I eat some blue cheese, etc etc. Gaaah. I know there's probably nothing I have done but still worrying.

Sorry for banging on. Hope you're all feeling good about 2016 viroids and new year champers

corgi88 · 29/12/2015 16:32

Also, hello to the newbies!

MyBlackCat · 29/12/2015 17:32

corgi mc are generally caused by chromosome issues and are natures way of not letting a pregnancy progress that wouldn't survive. It is nothing that you did, please don't think it was.

I waited a full cycle until trying again but in all honesty my cycles were fucked up for 6-8 months after, ranging from 24-44 days. The 44 day cycle was four months post mc and I'm sure you can all imagine the crazies that that caused. After this I started peeing opk's to try and find out what was going on. I have continue this on and off since but unfortunately no luck. Wish I poaopk this month as now on cd35 and no af. I know I ov'd later that normal so I'm sure she is just delaying her arrival because she can Shock thought I had spotting a couple of days ago but I may have been seeing things. Boobs are getting tender and feeling a little crampy so I'm sure she will turn up - probably on my birthday Angry

CoffeeandStitches · 29/12/2015 18:50

corgi we still haven't really started trying again. We were going to after the witch that should have been here 2 weeks ago... I've POeverymakeofS's known to the universe.

I know it's different for everyone but my MC was no worse than a bad period. I braced myself and read a lot about different peoples experiences but It wasn't as physically horrific as I expected.

blackcat so my abnormal cycle could be 'normal'?

MyBlackCat · 29/12/2015 18:56

coffee I don't think there is a normal after mc but more than likely that yes your longer cycle is mc related. I saw something once that said mc is the gift that keeps on giving - not sure I would call it a gift but you get the gist..

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 29/12/2015 19:14

Hope she doesn't black Wink

I've definitely iced, my boobs are monstrously sore. Just got in and ripped my bra off in the hall, gave the cat an eyeful!

It will be a miracle if I get pregnant this month due to dismal shag effort.

Holothewise · 29/12/2015 19:46

Corgi so sorry to hear your sad news Flowers take care of yourself and hope you feel better quickly.

Also Rhubarb is an adorable name for a corgi, love it!

NFMV pretty sure I iced over the weekend, although yesterday went to the loo and (TMI?) when I wiped there was a pink streak on the tissue. I've had this before and when I mentioned this to my GP he thought it was something hormonal related to ovulation and didn't seem bothered. Has anyone else had this or does anyone know if this can cause problems?

LondonGirl83 · 29/12/2015 20:34

Corgi I started trying straight away (after bleeding stopped).

Holothewise I've had that around the time of ovulation. I think its normal though I don't get it every cycle (I did the cycle I got pregnant though) and I've read its a strong fertility sign. Gx

LondonGirl83 · 29/12/2015 20:34

Okay Viroid, I'm testing Thursday morning, just over 24 hours to go.

SanPellegrini · 29/12/2015 21:46

Hi viroids, hope you all had a wonderful festive period. Grin

Been with family since 24th so fallen off the thread. Had a really lovely time, a lot less presents more games and charades really was nice.

Corgi Thanks for you sorry to hear, sounds like you're being well looked after.

Gx for lots of bfp's in the new year! Think I'm 9/10 dpo and definite bfn this morning think I'm over thinking this it's so instantly all consumingConfused

justtheonethen · 29/12/2015 22:47

Hooyah pelli twerly!

london will keep gx for you and maybe legs now I've iced.

justtheonethen · 29/12/2015 22:48

Sorry holo no idea but I am sure it's normal. Ff app gets v excited by any spotting after ov so could be a good sign!

SanPellegrini · 29/12/2015 23:19

Hooyah accepted Smile

Ain626 · 29/12/2015 23:40

Thank you for the empathy viroids. I don't know where else I could talk about this and get a response from someone who understands what this feels like..!

Today I'm still feeling down, but with a bit of a positive spin. Feeling like I have a plan for the new year for trying to shake off some of this weight to try and convince the fc to give me clomid in march. I got given a little diary as a stocking filler type present that I don't really need (I have my work diary for most things) but have decided to use it as a food/exercise tracker as I was far more motivated when writing things down before (strange huh?). I also took a detour when out with the dog to walk past the pool to pick up a new swimming pool timetable. My excuse (pathetic I know) has been I didn't know when I could go as the timetable had changed. If I want the fc to help me I need to shift some weight and pronto. I was nearly a stone down but I suspect Christmas may have ruined that..!

Sorry for the 'me' post but I sorta feel like if I write it down I have to do it..!!!

I've heard that spotting after ov is normal/a good sign. How soon after ov does it happen though? I'm not sure if I ov'd (probably not as I normally don't!) But I did start using opk's around cd 10 with not positive results, but at least a visible not a squinty line. I stopped though when DH was ill as I didn't want to know when we weren't shagging anyway.. did one again yesterday and it was a barely there second line. Today I did have the slightest amount of pink in my cm. I'm hoping that I did ov. I had pains a few days ago too. I'm trying to convince myself that these tiny signs equal my body at least trying to ov.. even if in shagging terms we've not got much chance at least if I ov'd there's more chance then there has been in forever.. cd23 here.

Anyway, I have ranted about myself enough now...

Hope everyone else is feeling okay. Flowers

lildottie · 29/12/2015 23:46

delurks
Came in for a quick che k in and am.now obsessing over who duck really is....and who her sister is! Didn't know we had true js sista's
relurks

justtheonethen · 30/12/2015 00:06

ain I missed your earlier post, I get it though. I feel like I'm surrounded by pregnant people and constantly braced for announcements. I feel very Envy.
Sounds like you are being really positive, focus on that, you can do it. You know you want/need clomid so you have to play their game. The end result is worth it so keep that as your motivator. You CAN do it!

Ha ha lil we know who she is, frequent readers are rewarded! Shhh though, we are being cloak and dagger to protect her anonymity

justtheonethen · 30/12/2015 00:07

Wonder if my sister is on here, any 7 month old boy owners on the grad grads?

Holothewise · 30/12/2015 09:56

Thanks for the replies, good to hear that my ov spotting is relatively normal, even better to hear it could be a good sign! I usually get it with some ovulation pain although the last few cycles I've had I've barely felt a thing. I've been using Ovia to track things and while sometimes it tells me useful stuff it likes to state the obvious - "You had pink spotting"...yeah, I know. I was there Hmm

SanPellegrini · 30/12/2015 11:12

Any news London?

SanPellegrini · 30/12/2015 11:12

Doh it's Wednesday isn't it Grin

FuzzyOwl · 30/12/2015 11:49

I don't spot after ovulation Ain so can't advise you there but I really hope you get clomid. A good friend of mine has conceived twice and both times were on her second cycle of clomid.

So sorry Corgi Flowers. I ended up having to have an ERPC because I didn't pass anything and it took me about five weeks to stop having positive pregnancy tests and then a further ten days to ovulate (although that was based on opk as I am not convince I actually did ovulate that cycle). However, I did start ttc again immediately.

Sorry to hear about the guinea pig ella.

Hello and welcome Duck.

FuzzyOwl · 30/12/2015 11:55

Please can I have some advice or your thoughts - I started what I thought was AF on Christmas Day. I had expected it around that time and had two heavy days, two days of no bleeding and then bled again yesterday. This is really unusual for me, as I usually have four to six consecutive days of bleeding. What is stranger still is that I have spent three consecutive days feeling sick (badly enough to wake me in my sleep or prevent me from sleeping) and feel as if I have a hangover/travel sick. The first day possibly could have been a hangover, although I only had three glasses of wine over twelve hours so it would be surprising, but not the last two days. Do you think it could be pregnancy related? I got a definite BFN this morning and no other symptoms. I am about 15/16 dpo.

justtheonethen · 30/12/2015 12:05

Hard to say fuzzy are you totally sure of when you ovulated?

FuzzyOwl · 30/12/2015 12:10

No just not totally sure although I got positive OPKs and ovulation twinges so am fairly certain it happened around day 19 or 20 of my (what I thought was a) 29 day cycle. I dtd like a maniac this month Blush so will have covered any ovulation from day 8 until 24.
