Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

I think flu jab is ok when pregnant but I could be wrong.

justtheonethen · 16/11/2015 21:22

here says it's safe at any stage of pregnancy so don't see why they would ask.

Mermaid36 · 16/11/2015 21:24

slinks back in quietly
Hi Viroids....

Had a couple of months of wobbling where DH wasn't here for my 'window' and I was all cross and grumpy...

I'm back though, and just waiting to see if the Witch will arrive this week (after a very productive week of shagging)

corgi88 · 16/11/2015 21:24

angel I had a similar problem last month, said wasn't pregnant but TTC. They said it's safe at all stages and they actively try to vaccinate pregnant women.... If you really don't want your colleagues to overhear just say no you aren't. I think they just ask so they can then reassure you that it's fine.

justtheonethen · 16/11/2015 21:53

Hi mermaid, I've had similar sulks in the past when dp has been away for work!

Mermaid36 · 16/11/2015 22:01

Glad it's not just me....I know DH couldn't help it, but still....

justtheonethen · 16/11/2015 22:04

Totally get you, I was almost ashamed of myself for sulking

bellybuttonfluffy · 16/11/2015 22:11

Hello all!

Fluffy
25
0 DC, 1 DDog
TTC since April 2015.

I'm quietly hopeful 70 day cycles shall be a thing of the past as I had some light bleeding on day 29 this cycle. Not a lot to class as a full on AF, but enough that it wasn't just spotting! Only took 11 months off the pill, but I really hope this is progress!

Anyway's, cheering you all on from behind the scenes slinks off back into the shadows

coribeth · 16/11/2015 23:05

Cori
39
Dc 3 (21,19 +17)
Ttc since 2012
Fur babies 4 gorgeous pus cats!
4th cycle of clomid

Flu vaccine does not contain live virus so is absolutely fine pg or not as a nurse I would actively encourage people to get vaccination as I see influenza on the ward a lot and it's no joke I have mine every year!

angelazul · 17/11/2015 08:00

Thanks vidroids, going to go ahead & get the vaccine, I'll them about ttc depending on who is around. I guess I just needed a little bit of reassurance.

Need a massive hooyah, tested this morning & got a bfn. Way too early to test of course, I'm fooling myself it's because I wanted to check before flu vac today. Need to get a grip Blush

angelazul · 17/11/2015 08:02

I'm with you all on the sulking, totally unreasonable of course, but reason seems to have gone out the window with me atm.

belly gx the witch is on her way for you - feels so strange saying that lol

Penguin000 · 17/11/2015 08:21

Gahh, the witch has showed up uninvited and early, though on the plus side I don't have the 2we, on the bad side I completely missed ovulation as thought it was gonna happen any day!.. I'm clueless. Huff.

ZylaB · 17/11/2015 08:36

fiddle old JS lingo from an autocorrect once I think! :)

ChatEnOeuf · 17/11/2015 08:57

Yep, Frolic has been around for many a Fred :)

Boo Penguin how dare she Angry

Angel Hooyah. Not out yet, so save your peesticks for later in the week!

KeepTheHope · 17/11/2015 09:04

Angel hooyah but you're definitely not out yet. Hope the flu vaccine is ok today.

Penguin that sucks ThanksBrew and Winefor later. Gx for your next cycle.

My boobs are fucking killing me, even worse than a couple of days ago! Rolling over in bed or sitting up with the duvet wrapped round them was seriously unpleasant this morning. If this isn't a symptom and is just a brand new form of torture I'm going to get every cycle from now on I might cry. Utmost sympathy to all those who suffer with the skittletits every month, I salute you!

Mermaid36 · 17/11/2015 09:07

Keep since coming off the pill and TTC I've had the worst skittletits ever....I've actually cried putting my bra on recently and when DH has hugged me, they've hurt so bad Sad

honeysucklejasmine · 17/11/2015 09:10

Ah ha! Found you.

Just I would put a passive aggressive sign on chicken coop.... "Are the ones I give you for free not enough? Perhaps you could contribute to their keep if you want to help yourself" and wait. Or, you know. Put a padlock on the hatch.

angelazul · 17/11/2015 09:45

WineFlowers for you penguin

I had skittletits once (when the witch was teasing me & was a week late), huge sympathy for anyone who has them every month FlowersCake

fruitlovingmonkey · 17/11/2015 10:49

Helllooo there viroids!

Dc: 1 ddog who I treat like a child and a 16 weeker in my womble.

I'm excited for the pissy parties coming up. Sorry Penguin Flowers have you tried contraband?

f1ddlesticks · 17/11/2015 12:11

Thanks for filling me in - love "frolic" acid!

Question for you all... I get that all forms of temping, charting, OPKs etc are forbidden (!) but if you're looking out for ov how much symptom spotting do you do? Honestly?!

ChatEnOeuf · 17/11/2015 13:48

Genuinely try not to do any, F1ddle - I find it sends me slightly mad. Plenty of folks here do temps and stuff...I do note CM changes but just try and don the cape every other day and hope for the best.

Here's hoping Fluffy :)

corgi88 · 17/11/2015 13:51

Viroids, does anyone else have the Ovia fertility app? Had another bfn last night so feeling sad, decided to get a bit more proactive. Not quite ready for contraband though so just downloaded ovia. Have had a half hour play and it is quite addictive! Not sure about their claims to get you pregnant times faster than the average though....

corgi88 · 17/11/2015 13:52

Sorry above should read three times faster!

KeepTheHope · 17/11/2015 14:22

Corgi I use Ovia. I'm not sure about the three times faster claims but I do find it very addictive and also surprisingly accurate. I feel like t just gives me a bit of control by having slightly more of an idea what is happening in there.

KeepTheHope · 17/11/2015 14:31

I meant to say sorry about your bfn too SadThanks I presume AF still hasn't arrived though so you're still in for now?
