Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Thank you viriods for your loveliness, I'm ok. this bleeding is all very bizarre and not like the normal witch at all. My cycles have always been bang on timing wise so I'm going to poas tomorrow morning anyway to eliminate that last twinkle of hope then horse ride after work and have a large glass of wine once DS is in bed!

Congratulations again corgi, that is very exciting. I think two BFPs is pretty conclusive.

And blackcat - peas and broccoli should never, ever, ever be cooked together. I would have been cross even without hormones.

Lots of Flowers to you all, this is so much better than going mental alone.

5hell · 23/11/2015 20:07

cats i know i shouldn't encourage the crazy, but my bfp came a day or so after 'AF' had finished...it was just little lighter than normal and i was still feeling nauseas, so took a test to shut up my overactive brain...and BAM! bfp!

justtheonethen · 23/11/2015 20:39

Hello viroids.

Flowers to all those feeling glum.

NFMC (chickens): little ones scared me by not going into the coop. Just spent a while tramping round the garden with some torch, found them.in a tree! Phew!

coribeth · 23/11/2015 23:16

Cd19 Nfmv nada still no signs of icing Hmm of course there is the possibility I iced early and just didn't notice Confused < gets out crazy stick starts stirring frantically> Grin

jellypi3 · 24/11/2015 07:24

A tree just Shock? Was it a high tree?? I love chickens!

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 08:26

No they were about shoulder height jelly, they are awesome but stupid!

cori you might have done, or you might be having an annovulatory cycle if such a thing is possible on clomid, or you might be about to ice. Stop stressing!

ChatEnOeuf · 24/11/2015 08:55

Good work chickens! My cat is rubbish at climbing trees, yet your chickens can do it Hmm

Cats I basically get a token witch with each and every pregnancy. It's fun.

Not ideal, Sock. Presume there's nowhere you can catch an hour's sleep before driving? I used to work somewhere that was almost 90 minutes drive home after nights. I hated it, never felt safe.

News from the city of lockdown: Twitter flooded with cat pictures, police tweet thanks with picture of biscuits. It's just so...Belgian...

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 09:02

Belgium sounds awesome. Fight terror with cats!

cats did you poas?

Catscatsandmorecats · 24/11/2015 09:38

5hell, Chat, encourage away with the crazy, I am going bonkers already so it won't harm.

Just - yes I did it was a faint positive but I think that's just the dregs (DH told me off for calling it that but it describes it perfectly, daft seeing as he hasn't seemed bothered til today). I know from a friend who has misscarried lots that she often had the same pattern for over a week before a BFN. I'll test again on Friday. I am pretty resigned to having lost this one, but far easier now than if I grew an empty sac and found out at the12 week scan again. If it does make it, I'll be amazed.

In chicken news, we found our naughty one on top of the shed the other day, she is incredibly athletic! They were on a mission to trip me up in the mud this morning, little buggers.

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 12:49

Well we are here for you cats. We all have our gx for you.

My chickens did the same this morning, I nearly went arse over tit this morning.

corgi88 · 24/11/2015 13:22

sock OK have another line pic! Dh says he keeps sneaking upstairs to stare at it when I'm at work. Haha.
I really really want chickens but our garden is rather tiny. How much space do they need chicken-keeping viroids? My parents keep them at home so I still get eggs off them but would like that satisfying farmer/Good Life feeling all for myself! Currently I have a HotBin composter which isn't really the same....
Gx to anyone awaiting witch.

honeysucklejasmine · 24/11/2015 13:47

Nice picture Corgi!

Personally I wouldn't get chickens unless o had a big garden. They'll ruin the grass and annoy the neighbours.

Mermaid36 · 24/11/2015 14:00

Chickens do ruin the grass and poo everywhere....they eat the things you don't want them to eat, and get into the places you don't want them to go (well, mine do anyway!)

GX for everyone waiting to POAS

FuzzyOwl · 24/11/2015 15:21

Congratulations Corgi.

I got a BFN today but think hope it is just because I am too early to test. Really feel like I have had lots of symptoms over the last couple of days but they are probably all in my head, especially with the negative test! Hmm AF due on Thursday, so will know then regardless.

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 15:42

Chickens do need a sizeable garden if only so they don't annoy the neighbours and destroy it! They can be quite noisy when they announce they have laid an egg!

fuzzy hooyah for testing early. Gx though

Lovely line corgi

I've got my usual bout of pre ovulation optimism, got in touch with a fertility acupuncturist who my friend saw (she conceived finally in cycle before her ivf) and am seeing a hypnotherapist tomorrow to try and conquer my blood test phobia. I WILL get fucking pregnant.

angelazul · 24/11/2015 16:02

Gx fuzzy & cats, chat Belgium sounds like a pretty cool place Grin

More light spotting this morning, but still no witch. Was feeling pretty down yesterday when the spotting started & burst into tears, but a bit more philosophical today, what will be will be & all that guff.

angelazul · 24/11/2015 16:05

Good going just, hope some of it works for you!!!

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 16:33

When are you due angel?

angelazul · 24/11/2015 17:31

Just was due last Friday, last bfn was Sunday. Bit of blood mixed in with cm Sunday, v light spotting today & yesterday.

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 17:40

Well I'm keeping gx for a late bfp but is it possible the spotting is af? I had a really light period a while back that was basically just spotting.

lildottie · 24/11/2015 18:40

just I highly recommend acupuncture. I've found it helpful in so many ways. It's even helping to keep my ms away mostly! I'm also sure its played a huge role in this bean sticking.

Ditsy79 · 24/11/2015 18:46

Congrats corgi !
Sorry you got a bfn fuzzy - I need even more of a hooyah than you, as my AF isn't due til Fri and I did a FRER test this morning - bfn. Was hoping this would be our month, and feel really disappointed now. Shouldn't have tested so early though.

justtheonethen · 24/11/2015 19:24

Hooyah to you too ditsy Grin

How often did /do you have it lil?

lildottie · 24/11/2015 19:27

It has varied just. I was going about kbce a month leading up to the second ivf cycle. Been weekly since bfp and just gone to 2weekly. After next one it will be monthly again. She would time it to about cd10 to help my body gear up to release a decent egg and lining to be really good etc.

pretzelpieces · 24/11/2015 19:42

Nice one just, good for you Star
