Good memory!

impsy!!!

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 10:08

It's so peculiar - I have never felt less pregnant. Just have to see how it goes I guess.

Anyway, have read through posts. Whimsicalname as I live and breathe! Talk about coincidences - just last week I was thinking about your marmalade cupboard and whether you introduced one into your US abode. I assume that you will have done. Glad you loved The Castle - I am just like that lawyer and often try to win arguments with reference to "the vibe of the thing" ;)

Far thrilled that Boy Far is here! To think that this time last year you'd just had IVF! Hope all is very good with the whole family.

Blimey Dino I had missed your BFP announcement about DC5. Brilliant, brilliant news my lovely. I would do my usual celebration but maybe today I ought to be careful just in case I am actually diffed.

Keep bring on the scratch! From all I've read they do wonders so the next BFP is yours for sure.

Beedles what news with all of your offspring? I love the Imps buggy by the way - clearly it will be the most classy and practical of buggies with a name like that.

Have left a message with BH. The nurses are hard to get hold of in the mornings as that's when all the ET/ECs happen. Hopefully they will call back this afternoon.

It's dawned on me that if this ends in MC (there is such a high chance of that given Mr Imps' DNA frag) I will prob have to wait 3 months or so to start next round of IVF. Potentially grrrrrr.

QueenMolotov · 01/12/2015 10:20

Stop thinking so far ahead, Imps. Take it one day at a time.

FWIW, I never felt pg with dd1 in my first trimester, and for some time into my second. I felt a fraud at the 12w scan as I didn't think anyone would actually be in there! But she was there, and is almost 7yo, so there you go Smile

Pastamancer · 01/12/2015 10:21

How dare you have a BFP Imps, that's not what this thread is for :o

Amazing news my dear, I'm crossing everything and brooking hard that this is the real thing and super sticky

QueenMolotov · 01/12/2015 10:24

And congratulations on your pg Dino! Thanks I've reread through and realised that I missed your announcement.

But imps You are diffed now, and will be staying diffed for 8 more months :)

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 13:13

"Pregnant 2-3 weeks"

BeedlesPineNeedles · 01/12/2015 13:23

:o :o imps did you POAS during your lunch break? :o

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 13:30

Ahem, erm, no?

QueenMolotov · 01/12/2015 13:31

Congratulations, Imps Thanks Wonderful news!

So, your baby will be due late July/early August? Smile

OP posts:
Imps9 · 01/12/2015 13:35

Ohhhhh there's no way I'm thinking about due dates. At the moment I'm just hoping to get beyond 6 weeks (which is when I last MCd - I should be 6 weeks on Saturday).

keepitgoing · 01/12/2015 13:50

Where are BH!!
This is the best news, and it's all looking good and strong.
How is mrimps?

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 13:58

Just spoke to BH - the nurse said I should go to GP if I get to 6 weeks and push for referral to EPU for an early scan (I can book a private one at BH if GP doesn't refer me). She said to carry on taking progesterone and aspirin which I will do. There's little point in anything else - it's too late for the intralipid drip (you start those after ov and before BFP). Just have to ride it out.

Mr Imps is as taken aback as I am.

keepitgoing · 01/12/2015 14:24

Ooh gosh I thought they could whack some drugs in you. Brooking so hard! Do you have enough progesterone?

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 14:28

I have quite a bit but if all goes well would hopefully be able to get more from EPU.

Yes, drugs would be nice but I guess there is no magic anti-miscarriage drug, more's the pity. And if the issue is Mr I's dodgy sperm, they only way to deal with that is through IMSI - it's far too late to do anything to help that now.

keepitgoing · 01/12/2015 14:50

MrI's sperm clearly not that dodgy!! Grin

Imps9 · 01/12/2015 15:04

Haa yes one little one has reached it's target - the problem is that if it's a fragmented one the embryo won't last for long. The risk of 1st trimester miscarriage is much higher for folk like Mr Imps which is why I can't get too excited.

Oh I'd love to know how it's all going to turn out. The not knowing is a right old pain in the arse.

QueenMolotov · 01/12/2015 16:51

Your reservations are understandable, Imps. All things are crossed that this one works out.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 01/12/2015 22:44

Omg I finally get back on after being locked out of my account again to an amazing bfp. Holy moly Imps they are some good looking lines and a 2-3 weeks on a digi as well. I'm so excited for you! I get you being cautious, I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you lovely

Beedle just been catching up with your cycle. It all sounds very interesting, really hope you get to be part of the trial. Are you feeling festive?? I bet it's so Christmassy over there

Keep good plan for a ttc free Christmas. I'm looking forward to some mulled wine this year

Jaggy time is flying by, can't believe it's been nearly 6 months already Shock

Sorry I've not been around much. I'm pretty much just surviving. Z is great but never sleeps more than 2 hours at a time. We had a full 6 weeks of him waking every 45 mins at night. I've been like a zombie. He's worth it though!

Hope everyone else is doing ok. How's everyone's Christmas plans going? I can't wait to get my decorations up, I bloody love Christmas Xmas Smile

keepitgoing · 02/12/2015 09:15

Oh cups we had that too. It'll get better... kip was up for flipping hours last night so please tell me WHEN

I've just read this book It Starts with the Egg, and now convinced my diet and toiletries are polluting my body and will make ivf fail and it'll be my fault. Help me !

imps where's this morning's stick?

QueenMolotov · 02/12/2015 09:56

keep, don't feel guilty! I haven't read that book myself and don't know what your diet/lifestyle is like (or indeed, what changes are recommended during IVF). I understand that certain diet and lifestyle changes might be beneficial, but look around at people who smoke (and worse); drink; eat McDonalds, KFC, processed foods and they still get pg and have healthy babies.

I think that's one of the biggest problems with infertility, IME - that you think about and question things that seem to not even enter other people's heads; things that can make you feel tremendous guilt.

Yes, Imps, where is this mornings pee stick? Grin

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 02/12/2015 10:14

Oh it talks about evil phthalates and BPA, and evil refined carbs. I exercise and eat healthily-ish, prob not enough veg etc but as you say... I can't cut out bread and pasta, what would I eat?!

Yes we have far too much time to think/stress about these things

Imps9 · 02/12/2015 11:00

Hello everyone and lovely if totes knackered Cups.

Yes, nice strong line today (no photo, soz!). Still not feeling it and trying hard not to wallow in the misery of assuming the worst, but not get excited by assuming the best. It's a tricky balance, I have to say. I still can't understand how there can be an embryo in there given how much blood I lost and that combined with general fertility woes just leads me to conclude that it's only a matter of time for this one too.

Boobs feeling tender today, but that could just be the bum bullets. A little blood (very small amount so far), but some good feeling cramps too.

Gosh, this is harder to deal with than infertility. How do people stay sane for a whole 8 months? Confused

Imps9 · 02/12/2015 11:43

I retract that - it's not harder to deal with than infertility, it's just - right now - more of a headfuck.

DinoSnores · 02/12/2015 12:51

Oh gosh, what amazing news, Imps!!!

Can imagine that this is hard and I don't think you need to feel guilty that one thing is harder than another. It's not a game of Top Trumps, and you really are allowed to find this bit hard too.

I'm going to get excited on your behalf anyway, knowing that being excited will not make anything bad more or less likely to happen, and that TODAY, whatever happens, you are pregnant.

Big hugs, lots of decaff Brew and lots of Cake. I'll be Brooking my hardest for you.
