You can't beat a Freddie Mercury-themed title to get a new thread going Grin

Yay! Congratulations, exciting :)

If you don't mind me asking, what asthma medication were you on?

Pastamancer · 17/01/2016 12:18

Congratulations Thanks

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 06:21

Congratulations mol you must be so pleased Flowers

Fab news keep we truely are cycle buddies, I have ET at 2pm on Tuesday. Fingers crossed we'll both be joining mol in 10 days or so.

imps how was your weekend away? did you go anywhere nice?

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 06:52

Oh wow mol congratulations!!

beedle yay, not sure what time mine is yet, will get a call with more news today eek. Been having lots of dreams...

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 11:13

beedle will mrbeedle be with you?

Mine is at 1145, so only an hour earlier. Yesterday day 3, we had 6x8 cells grade 1, and 1x6 cell grade 1

When do you find out how many tested normal or if you weren't in the trial

Brooking that we both join mol next week...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 11:40

sounds great keep I have no idea what quality any of ours were, apart from the fact that 4 of them were good enough! We find out whether we were in the trial when I ring them with the result of the pregnancy test. At the moment its only the dr that actually did the testing that knows if we were in or out and how many were actually frozen if they were tested.

Yes MrB will be there to hold my hand, is MrK able to get away from work?

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 11:52

He's off with kip tomorrow so it's a little tricky but I think they'll come and leave for the actual procedure unless someone offers to look after her while she watches sth
Are you excited? Will you def put only 1 back? Pretty sure we will unless quality is poor

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 11:53

If this were Thailand the nurses/receptionists would def look after her but I imagine not here...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 12:48

yes only 1 (I think). they did mention something about 70% success rate with blastocysts in FET cycle, but when I checked the results on the website is was much nearer 30/40%. But whatever, its probably the best chance we've had so far.

I'm sure you'll be fine if you have to go in alone, it only takes a few minutes after all.

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 12:55

That's quite a big difference in %! Must be measuring it differently. But tbh stats don't really matter do they, it's just about what happens in your specific situation. I'm so hopeful for you. It must be higher if testings been done too, which of course I'm brooking it has been for you. Even if it wasn't this was your best cycle in terms of response, fertilisation etc wasn't it, so that's a good sign!

Yes am fine on my own, I was for the two FETs, but I think he'd like to see the embryologist etc. I suppose I think the only one he was there for was the only one that worked

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 13:35

Not silly at all, I Think actually the one that almost worked for us MrB wasn't there for transfer, perhaps I should make him wait outside in the car :o

Yes the likelihood of it working should be better if they have been tested, considering that some miscarriages/failure to implant would be due to chromosone problems.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 13:37

Actually keep wasn't it you who had to stay laying down for an hour after transfer and wee into a bedpan? I Think you should try to recreate this experience completely seeing as how it worked with kip :o :o

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 13:59

It was indeed, you have a good memory... Was awful!! Here they've told me bladder half full only, and I get up straight after. Maybe you're right GrinBlush

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 14:11

I amazed no fertility clinic has realised the importance of weeing into a bedpan after transfer, this is clearly where I've been going wrong :o

keepitgoing · 18/01/2016 14:33

Grin smuggle one in?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/01/2016 20:36

We have a lot of crap useful stuff in our house but I'm fairly certain we don't own a bedpan :o And I wouldn't fancy smuggling it out afterwards

Imps9 · 19/01/2016 08:43

Good morrow my dear lovelies. Just about back from a very snowy Yorkshire - had to leave the car there for now as it's stuck in snow. Fingers crossed it will have cleared by the weekend so we can pick it up.

Oh Mol congratulations to you!! What fabulous news. And even better that I get to do this again...

Imps9 · 19/01/2016 08:45

Oh and if anyone knows how you can actually tell when your bladder is half full, please share that wisdom with me...

keepitgoing · 19/01/2016 09:05

imps that's a long way to go to get your car! Glad you had a lovely weekend and that AF is on time. Bloody hell that's a long time for adoption, and I believe they say you can't TTC for a while before starting too. I think you're right and you're so close. We were having the same conversation last night, dh worried I might not want to do another cycle but I think I'd do 2 more plus FETs.

loopy are you OK? Did you get another scan?

beedle I've just seen your snow pics on fb... Hope everyone makes it to the clinic. Good luck x a billion. This is your time

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/01/2016 09:36

imps probably safest to leave the car behind, glad you had a Lovely weekend, and rather Sporting of AF to show up on time!

keep I'm not worried about me getting to the clinic (I can walk there in about 30mins from work, though I did have to walk about 4km to get to work this morning Shock ) I just hope that the drs etc have made it there too. Though I would have thought they would ring fairly soon if they had to postpone. I have everything crossed for you too

keepitgoing · 19/01/2016 09:58

In England everything would be cancelled but I'm sure all the swedes will get there

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/01/2016 10:08

Ha ha don't be so sure keep i had to walk 4km to work because there were virtually no trams or buses running. 20-30cm overnight is still rather unusual here. The main roads had been ploughed so MrB could have driven me the whole way, but we thought it was probably safest if he went straight to work himself

Anyway here's what it looks like from my office :o

Don't stop us now! We're having such a good time, we're having a ball and BROOKING NO ARGUMENT!
keepitgoing · 19/01/2016 10:25

So jealous! But you walked 4km, here we'd stay at home
We had tiny amount of snow - used whole garden to make these - kip ecstatic...

Don't stop us now! We're having such a good time, we're having a ball and BROOKING NO ARGUMENT!
BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/01/2016 10:33

That's sooo sweet keep

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/01/2016 11:28

No phone calls to say otherwise so i guess 1 Little emby has survived the thaw. Either that or all the doctors are stuck in snowdrift outside the clinic

Good luck keep
