BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/12/2015 07:28

keep do you Think they'd do 2 for the price of 1? Whilst I will be on the right side of the country to come with you (I think) we don't fly until the 23rd. Really looking forward to seeing all my family :o

cups I'll try to oblige with the snowy pics, at the moment its just Cold and frosty, and luckily its not looking like it will be a White Xmas here either, just wet. Have you bought Z lots of presents? maybe some more cute hats?

hinky congratulations on the safe arrival of Quinn - its a lovely name

imps are they going to test your levels any more? Oh and I'm with you on saying no thanks to triplets!

QueenMolotov · 14/12/2015 08:00

Congratulations hinky on the safe arrival of baby Quinn! Wonderful news and a lovely name Thanks Thank-you for your offer. I do have a stash of tests, but many thanks anyway x

Well, I'm one down on my stash, actually. Tested this morning with a regular test, err ... 5 days before AF is due. It was negative Blush What was I thinking? Mustn't test again until Saturday (unless The Witch arrives first).

Morning delightful folk!

Wahhhhoooooo Hinks!! Very very many congratulations on the arrival of Quinn. I shall forgive you for not naming him Sullivan on the basis that Quinn is a great name - in fact I have a cousin with that very moniker. Hope you are well and that the Hinks family are having a lovely time getting to know Q.

Mol yo' is so diffed girlfriend! The Law of Boob says it's so, as does the Law of Nausea and Law of Sensitive Nose. Looking forward to your confirmation of the inevitable in due course.

Keep are you egg watching this month? How many days post-ov does AF usually arrive? When do you want egg to arrive?

AFM have had a wonderful weekend of food, drink and friends. 3 Christmas parties! Yes three! Totally exhausted today but worth it. My HCG is dropping much more slowly than they'd like (180 down to 150 from Thurs to Sat) so they're going to speak to the consultant today to see what she or he recommends. Slightly heavier bleeding today though, which I am taking as a good sign. I should think there's still a large mass to pass, even if it was growing in the wrong place?

Oh! And I said to Mr Imps yesterday that I'd give Bourn Hall a chase on the Bollock Sperm issue, and he said "Oh yes, I got a voicemail message last week from them asking to arrange a consultation with the andrologist - should I phone them back?". Errrr, yes that might be a useful thing to do, Mr Imps Confused

QueenMolotov · 14/12/2015 08:27

Glad to hear that you had a nice weekend, Imps. Keep us posted about the recommendations re. slow HCG drop.

My DH can be a bit like that about things, then gets crabby when I remind him to do stuff Confused

Argh mrimps... I really hope you won't have to take that drug impsy, but either way I hope they can sort it. Would the mass be big that early? I feel like it'd just be millimetres not like post birth when clots can be like tangerines, I hope not. Are you in much pain?

mol Grin at super early testing...

beedles line us up and scratch away! Interesting you've all been told scratches last more than one cycle. I've been told so long as AF doesn't arrive before the 1st I'd be OK as that'd mean starting on day 4 (seems late to me) so I don't want my surge before Thursday. But again, que Sera, Sera.

Imps9 · 14/12/2015 10:28

Well last time at 6 weeks the clot was similar size to a golf ball. I assume it would be smaller this time given that there's no womb lining for it to have attached to, but really I have no idea what to expect.

Have everything crossed that your surge stays the fuck away until the weekend Keep

keepitgoing · 14/12/2015 10:39

Oh, Sad

QueenMolotov · 14/12/2015 11:46

I know, I know, keep ... it's just been an unusual cycle, plus now with nausea every now and then. No more testing until Friday or Saturday. Promise! Grin

Consultant wants to scan me this afternoon so I'm heading in for 3.30pm. I've told my boss that I have something growing in my innards that shouldn't be there and they have to keep an extremely close eye on it as it could rupture or explode. So not a lie but not the truth either - it's for his own good though as the truth would monumentally freak him out!

Imps9 · 14/12/2015 17:59

Consultant is happy enough with progress. The mass hasn't got any bigger (which is good) and doesn't have a blood supply to it (which is good), but hasn't got any smaller either (which is not good). She said that I could let things happen naturally, have some medication to speed it along or have surgery. I've decided to give it another week to happen naturally, and if at the scan next week it's still the same/substantially the same size and if my HCG hasn't gone down, then I might have the drugs. I would prefer not to though - introducing something to my system which kills pregnancies doesn't feel like a great thing to be doing when TTC.

Interestingly she said that if I had the drugs, they'd recommend waiting for 3 months before starting next round of IVF - she didn't seem to think there was any reason to wait otherwise, so it will be interesting to see what Bourn Hall says. Although that having been said, we can start in March at all so unless my cycle corrects itself more or less immediately, I will have to wait until April (although could have my scratch in March).

Imps9 · 14/12/2015 18:02

Oh, and consultation with the andrologist is on 12 January. Well done for arranging it Mr Imps! Will be really interested to see what the advice is - I feel like Mr Imps has been overlooked slightly, even though it's male factor we're up against (well, apart from my inability to sustain a pregnancy or even get one in the right place, that is Grin)

keepitgoing · 14/12/2015 20:03

Ooh an appt with an andrologist, how exciting, I agree they don't look into MF much. I agree on the drugs, seems odd but I reckon I'd prefer that to surgery. Brooking like mad it happens naturally though. When are you talking to BH?

DinoSnores · 14/12/2015 21:07

imps, glad things are no worse for you. I would wonder myself if I'd have surgery rather than methotrexate though. Brooking for you.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/12/2015 03:29

Imps I really hope things get started naturally so you don't need the drugs or surgery. MrImps sounds just like MrCups Grin fingers crossed for your appointment on the 12th. It will soon be here thanks to the rush around Christmas

Keep and Beedle can you imagine a brookers meet up at a clinic for a scratch??!!

Hinky congrats again on your lovely boy Smile

I've not got much for Z for Christmas, I bought him a bath toy so far! I don't think he needs anything to be honest. Apart from maybe more cute hats, you can never have too many hats!

I'm having trouble sleeping tonight and not just because of Z. My dad died a few weeks ago. We weren't in contact really, he left us when I was 2 and I've seen him a handful of times since. I felt quite upset when it happened as I guess deep down I hoped we would reconnect at some point. It's the funeral tomorrow, I'm not going as I'll feel out of place and to be honest I doubt I'd be made welcome. I just can't stop thinking about things tonight

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/12/2015 03:32

Pressed send too soon!

Mol how sweet! It's so magical when then really start to get into Christmas and well done on getting the right presents!

My nephew kept telling me the other day he's met the real santa Smile and they are friends!

keepitgoing · 15/12/2015 09:25

Oh cups I'm sorry to hear about your dad, and that you dont feel you could/should go to the funeral.

You're right z won't care what you get him :) kip has insisted her Nana will want a toy car so has wrapped up one of her own for her , she has also told me what dh has got me (a jumper) Grin

Brooking for imps

QueenMolotov · 15/12/2015 09:46

Cups, I'm really sorry to read about your Dad's passing. The thing is, essentially, a funeral is a formality and you can make peace with losing him in your own time, in your own space, without judgement from biased family. It's just the way things are sometimes x

Imps, I hope that you are able to progress without medication or surgery.

imps any news?

Positive opk here which means we will be cutting it fine, I've emailed the consultant to ask her views. Annoying if we have to cancel for the sake of a day IR 2, but obv want to have the best chance. Gah

QueenMolotov · 16/12/2015 14:10

Your consultant will advise you on the best course of action, keep. I understand how frustrating the position you're in must be.

Imps, how are you?

I'm on CD26, so due AF any day now. No period symptoms and another BFN this morning. I am feeling tired a lot and nauseous sometimes. But then it is a busy time of year and I've been racing around, not always eating right/not resting after eating.

I must avoid keep testing next month. It's very disheartening!

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/12/2015 14:35

keep you don't have any progesterone bum bullets do you? I was just wondering if you could take some for the last few Days Before AF is due just to delay her slightly. My dr was fine about me having the extra progesterone during my FETs earlier this year and we did 2 natural cycles back to back. Might be Worth asking the dr about it to avoid postponing for Another month - unless you will be wondering if that was why it failed if it didn't work perfectly.

cups sorry about your dad, but don't feel too upset about choices he made when you were very little

keepitgoing · 16/12/2015 17:34

Wahoo spoke to consultant, we came to agreement I just start stabbing myself on day 3, then attend clinic for my scan on cd4 or cd5, 4th Jan, if there is a cyst we just postpone then :)

keepitgoing · 16/12/2015 17:34

I asked her re progesterone beedle as I do have some and already thought of that, she said no

keepitgoing · 16/12/2015 17:43

Sorry about bfn mol, I never test, I've tested about 10x ever I'd say.... Brooking it's going to turn positive soon

QueenMolotov · 16/12/2015 19:21

Thanks keep, and glad to read about your good news re. meeting with your consultant Smile
