You can't beat a Freddie Mercury-themed title to get a new thread going Grin

Jesus Christ Imps ... still, long like your left tube!

Don't be a brave little soldier, though. Any pain - straight to A&E.

I will Mol - I won't take any risks, I promise!

I know re: fanjo invasions Beedles! I don't feel like it's my own property anymore!

keepitgoing · 10/12/2015 19:28

imps you are the opposite of drama queen! Brooking for you my lovely, this so unfair

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/12/2015 21:55

Imps I have just attempted to catch up with the thread, and so sorry you are going through this again, and an ectopic as well this time. Next year really must be your year!

Had Coventry results back, NK levels normal. But I feel good having peace of mind that I didn't need the steroids and so at least I know that wasn't a cause of the MC's. And wouldn't have had the PCOS diagnosis if I hadn't gone there. Plan is to not ttc in December and go for it in Jan, with clomid, progesterone, clexane and if I can get the prescription in time the metformin too.

keepitgoing · 11/12/2015 08:26

loopy that's good about your nk cells. I'm not sure I've heard of anyone testing negative so nice to know it can happen

Thinking of imps

Had our consent/info appointment yesterday. All good except if AF arrives before 1st Jan we'd be too late to start (they are closed till the 4th so even that would be to start stabbing on day 4, they say that's fine) and my scratch would be wasted. That'd be a 28 day cycle and my av is 29 but sods law I'll ov early. My scan yesterday my lead follie was 15mm so now of course I'm convinced it'll be a rogue short cycle

Sorry for the ramble, prob makes no sense. As dh says no point worrying, worst case is wasted scratch

Argh why is it all so bloody complicated

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/12/2015 09:06

keep I thought the scratch was supposed to help for up to 3 cycles (might be talking bollocks though!) We could be cycle buddies though if AF behaves herself, mine is due around new year!

loopy good news about not having high NK cells, though I suppose that finding a reason for all the mc would have been a relief. Brooking that all the drugs will help next time

Imps9 · 11/12/2015 10:42

Hello Loopdedoop good news re: NK cells not being problematic. A lovely cocktail of drugs will deffo do the trick - are you under the watchful eye of your consultant for the next cycle? Have you considered getting Mr Loops' sperm tested for DNA fragmentation? Even the healthiest looking sperm in terms of count/morph/motility can have high levels of DNA frag causing MC - it can be caused by an infection or a virus or anything like that. Just a thought in the absence of any other explanation so far.

Keep I too had thought that the scratch had longer-lasting effects, but maybe that's just the HSG? Anyway GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to timings and always having AF bugger things up. It will be sods law that your AF arrives early this month. She always like to be a bitch in any way that she can. But you're right - if she does come early, it only means that you will have to wait just one more cycle and pay for another scratch.

I've no idea when I will be able to start my next cycle - my HCG was 180 yesterday so still dropping, which is good, but veeeeeeeeeeery slowly, which is annoying. And who the fuck knows when the next AF will come after this? I might even be looking at a May/June start date. Oh well, I've always tried to convince myself said that this is a journey, not a race, so I just have to keep on keeping patient.

Pastamancer · 11/12/2015 11:24

Imps we have had 2 sets of twins and numerous singletons so I think after all this hassle you are going to be due the first ever Brooking Triplets Xmas Grin

keepitgoing · 11/12/2015 12:19

It's a bloody marathon imps, glad the hcg is dropping at least. The waiting is fucking tedious isn't it, there's always something

I have heard that about scratch too, bit they deffo want it in the cycle before. Hey ho it's not that pricey, (comparatively!)

beedle is it snowy yet chez toi?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/12/2015 12:55

No snow yet keep we have had some really cold days and lots of really wet weather, but not together so no snow. It would be nice to have some over new year once we are back here after an English Xmas :o

Imps really hope you don't have to wait until May/June. Will you not be able to start what was planned after your next "proper" AF?

QueenMolotov · 11/12/2015 13:27

Hi everyone, what a busy thread it's been over the last couple of days!

Loopy, fingers crossed for you that the lovely concoction of pharmaceuticals do their job well in the new year!

keep, it really is a shit that things are so complicated. I'm brooking that your cycle behaves itself.

Imps, good to see those levels dropping now. I'm brooking that your cycle returns normally and quickly so that you don't have a long wait for IMSI (because it will work)

Pasta, hurrah for Brooking Triplets. The gauntlet is passed to Imps!

My boobs are usually extremely tender and painful by this time in my cycle (day 20). They're actually not too bad (hallelujah!!!); a little tender maybe, but that's all. It's probably this new asthma medication I'm on that has calmed inflammation in my lungs ... and boobs? Sounds so odd, but remember that research I mentioned which suggested asthma mess calm inflammation aside from that within the respiratory system?

I think I will get that bastardy-AF next week. I am hoping that the changes in boob behaviour, the sharp cramps I had last weekend (prob late ovulation) and restless sleep mean that I'm diffed. But, the niggly belly cramps yesterday and today usually mean I'm not. Still, if AF comes on time, I should be period-free over Christmas. Bonus!

I forgot to say that I've been very tempted to buy an early pg test as I'd be able to test from Monday. But, if it came out as -ve (as I suspect), I'd only remain unsure and then test using a regular one once AF was due, or a day late, say.

To then get a proper -ve, of course :-/

DinoSnores · 11/12/2015 13:42

imps, oh, imps, you are not being a drama queen but have behaved throughout years of difficulties with such dignity and winsomeness. I know we've never met but I really admire you!

mol, great to see that you've gone for it. Hope it isn't long before you get your BFP.

And hoping for a BFP or a sensibly timed AF for keep so that you can get started.

Imps9 · 11/12/2015 16:31

Triplets. I bloody hope not. I remember that they had IVF triplets on One Born Every Minute a few years back. They did a follow up what-are-they-up-to-now? programme a couple of years later which featured the triplets. The mother was saying how worried she was because she was taking them to get their haircut and thought it would be a challenge. She was right - it looked like an absolute nightmare. They were running around all over the place and after about 10 minutes of trying to round them up, she just sat down and burst into tears. She said it was like that every time she went out so most days she didn't bother going out with them. It looked awful, bless her. So no, no triplets here thanks!

Beedles am pretty sure that after a loss the medical advice is to wait for 3 cycles until TTC again, but I could well have made that up entirely. It would be nice to start after next proper AF, but given that that will be much later than normal, any IVF treatment would clash with some holidays/weekends away we have in Feb and March. So really, unless I could start treatment in January (which won't happen), we won't be looking at a March start date at the earliest. And if this ectopic takes a lifetime to clear and they do insist on 3 clear cycles, then given the length of my cycles it might well take us up to May. This is total speculation of course, and it may be that BH let me start straightaway, which would be nice.

Mol why not invest in some internet cheapie tests? They are really sensitive and should show up at more or less the same time as a FRER. You can buy about 100 for a fiver or so on ebay. Would recommend them for frivilous PIARing - try here here

Imps9 · 11/12/2015 16:33

Oh, and thanks Dino! I admire you too

QueenMolotov · 11/12/2015 19:45

Thank-you for that link, Imps. I may succumb to my want to be pregnant and indulge myself in a couple of First Response tests from Boots tomorrow (I chickened out yesterday and instead spent that money on toothpaste for my daughters and shampoo+conditioner for me).

I have a stash of regular pg tests for later in the week. I'll order those ones you linked for next month (because I'm probably not diffed this month want to be but I'm probably not yet am symptom spotting like mad!)

And thank-you Dino. I second what you said about Imps Smile

hinkyhonk · 11/12/2015 22:10

mol I've got a load of Internet cheapies that I'd love to send onto you (or anyone else) if you pm me your name and address.

Also belatedly need to notify you guys that our baby boy arrived safely by elcs two weeks ago. It's been rather frantic to establish feeding and adjusting to life with 3 sons. He is gorgeous though and we plumped for the name Quinn which really suits him

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 12/12/2015 05:03

Oh Imps I'm so sorry, it totally sucks. Like everyone has said you are the least drama queen person I've ever know. As usual I'm in awe of the way you are handling it all. Am glad to hear your hcg is now dropping. I've heard the having to wait 3 cycles for a loss thing too, I hope AF is nice and prompt for a change so your not waiting too long

Keep yep it's a never ending marathon or at least it feels it at the time. Your DH is right there's on point worrying about timings. I totally get it though as it took over 10 months to start my second cycle and in that time AF arrived on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday Angry I'll be Brooking for a prompt AF for you too!

Beedle I've heard the scratch should last 3 months too. In fact I had mine in March and didn't get to go ahead with my second go until May. The consultant on our 3rd go told us not to bother with the scratch when we started again in September as he claimed it would still be effective from March too! Not sure I believe that though! I hope you get some snow soon, I love seeing your snowy pics. Are you looking forward to being home over Christmas?

Mol I really hope AF doesn't turn up at all! Are your girls excited for Christmas?

Loopy that's good news about the NK cells! Fingers crossed the cocktail of drugs does the trick next time

Sorry for being a crap brooker, every since the security problems I keep getting locked out. I can't seem to remember my password and end up changing it every time Confused

keepitgoing · 12/12/2015 12:42

Hiya cups how's things?

I meant a marathon for the lovely imps

beedle when are you back? Are you still thinking of having a scratch? Wanna come with me on the 22nd? Grin

QueenMolotov · 12/12/2015 19:36

Hi Cups, thank-you, I hope AF stays away too, and yes, our girls are very excited for Christmas. We took them to see Santa today and dd1 was speechless! They were so sweet, and even better to know that we have actually bought them the gifts that they asked for (phew!)

OP posts:
QueenMolotov · 13/12/2015 19:26

I have literally no idea what's going on with my body as I have had both niggly cramps as well as nausea today. Bad smells were the culprit - I don't usually have a sensitive nose so that's odd. Boobs are slightly tender; more so than the past few days but nowhere near epic-tit-pain.

As you were ...

OP posts:
Pastamancer · 13/12/2015 20:10

Law of Boob:
Sore boobs = diffed
No sore boobs = diffed

You is diffed

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 13/12/2015 21:26

Hinky I'd love some tests if you have any going spare? I've spent a small fortune on tests for the many Mc's I've had...DH hasn't a clue quite how much!!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 13/12/2015 21:27

Oh and re the scratch, both Worcester and the profs at Coventry reckon the effects last for 3 months
