Thought I'd get this party started. Here's the stats: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHG9PPsOs0yIqgR-o2UXX_fdlCQXdVNLfmPpNOePPjQ/edit

May this bus yield many BFPs! Hoorah!

nervoussam It was such a lovely thing for him to say, I really appreciated it.

I've just got some extra wool as I found some lovely soft toy patterns at lunch, planning to make each twin a teddy, though may end up being for their first Christmases given how slowly I knit!!

MumTumgot · 02/11/2015 14:51

Thank u ladies I just found the recurrent mc thread , I wish you all every ounce of luck in you ttc journeys xxxx

Flybynight1 · 02/11/2015 16:27

Ok ladies the countdown to Christmas has begun!! Cue the sober Christmas parties, the attempting to avoid the sweet treats and the general end of year work craziness!!

So I had my first taste of attempting to hide my t-totalism at the weekend-I went for the approach of pretending I was drinking but either passing to DH or positioning myself near to a sink or plant to decant. I'm sure I've probably killed most of my friends plants but it was worth it! And very smug I was to about feeling fine the next day :-) how is everyone planning on dealing with the not-drinking??

Ps if my luteal phase is as last month ie 14 days then I shall be POAS for the first time on Sunday! Assuming AF doesn't get me first. Still no idea when I ovulated really but I have my fingers crossed it was the weekend DH was actually home!

Hugs all round ladies xx

nervoussam · 02/11/2015 16:35

Fingers crossed for you fly!

Can I ask all you ladies, fly's mention on the drinking has made me think - outside of the TWW and just in general TTC time, what changes have you all made to your lifestyle? Drinking/eating/exercise? I know we share what medication/vitamins etc we're taking on the stats but what other measures have you all taken?

x

MagpieCursedTea · 02/11/2015 17:57

I'm trying to cut down on sugar and caffeine, I'm also doing a bit more exercise. Mostly I'm just trying to keep stress levels down which is the hardest part as I'm a worrier!

I only have two cups of caffeinated tea a day then decaf (sometimes a cheeky latte though). I've massively cut down on sugar but other than that I've not made many changes. I don't drink much anyway so if I fancy one I'll have it, even if it's during tww as its not going to make any difference.

Oh and when I remember to I try to eat Brazil nuts in the run up to ov!

Hope everyone is well.

kir sorry af came Flowers

lily it's good to hear you're over the baby bomb and knitting for your sis Smile

fly I'm afraid we're not cycle buddies any more Sad......cd25 and I've still not ovulated!!!

waves to everyone else

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/11/2015 21:38

Btw eskimo & magpie I've got two spots on my jaw now!! Friggin hormones, no idea what's going on here!

nervoussam · 03/11/2015 09:42

Thanks for the info ladies, I was starting to panic that I wasn't doing enough (i.e. still drinking wine at weekends etc) but I feel reassured now. I too have gone de-caff, only exception is when as someone's house or if not available when out. I eat well anyway, infact I actually have put on weight since my journey began 18 months ago, as it was a bit of a controlling aspect of my life. I try and eat more protein and healthy fats now. Similar with exercise, I was probably doing too much so have tried to moderate that now, tried to introduce stress relievers like yoga too rather than all heavy stuff.

I agree though magpie, stress is the thing I really need to monitor too. It's hard as we all have something to worry about but its a catch 22 of being better off if we didn't!

lilygirl81 · 03/11/2015 10:35

nervoussam I cut down on caffeine, now only have around 1 cup a day, and only drink occasionally, and never in the 2ww. I'm trying to lose weight anyway, so eating more fruit & veg.

I bought a different brand of OPK this month, and there is not even a hint of a line which is confusing as I'm on day 14 today, normal OV is on day 16 or 19. I know things will be a bit mucked up this month because of the mc, but thought there would have at least been a faint one!

flymo79 · 03/11/2015 10:41

grr dizzy! ha ha ha! Grin feel a bit in limbo, not sure what I'm doing. Waiting I guess...
re not drinking I had a bit of a trial-by-observant-friends on saturday, one of whom accused me of being pregnant straight out. I have 0% beer in the fridge and sidled over to open one at the door rather than at the table in front of my mates but I think they twigged. I also am having to rather loudly ask for decaf in the office and one of my colleagues seems to enjoy giving me the wink. ANNOYING!

nervoussam · 03/11/2015 10:45

lily do you have any of your old style OPKs about to compare?

lilygirl81 · 03/11/2015 11:19

nervoussam I had 2 left and they do have a clear faint line, so they must be less sensitive. I think I'll search for my clear blue ones and see what they say.

MagpieCursedTea · 03/11/2015 13:22

Which ones have you been using lily? I'm not even getting a hint of a line on my cheap Internet ones. I was hoping I'd ov on CD16 like I have when I used clomid before but that's tomorrow so if the OPKs are to believed it's not looking hopeful!
Clinging onto the hope that I'll wake up to a temp rise tomorrow and the OPKs were wrong.

lilygirl81 · 03/11/2015 14:19

Magpie They say One Step in green on them (but then so did all the others I bought) They seem much thinner than the ones I've got before, which is the only reason I knew they were different. Actually, the font is a bit different too. I'm at work but will take a photo of them when I get home.

MagpieCursedTea · 03/11/2015 15:26

They sound like the ones I have. The control line isn't even that dark. I'll be doing another one when I get home.

MagpieCursedTea · 03/11/2015 16:56

These are the ones I have. Just did another one, still no second line Sad

Lily - they come in wide or normal so probably are the same ones. If they've worked for you before then they should be no different.

Thank you for all your lovely messages. Dh and I have a week off so are just trying to relax and enjoy it until we hear from the clinic with a plan. Xx

DizzyMerry · 03/11/2015 20:48

Thinking of you boris and hopes. Fx you both get your bfps this cycle Flowers

Enjoy your week off sammy.

Hope you get a positive opk lily and magpie.
I'm wondering if these are part of a bad batch though as a few of mine had no control line/very faint control line last month. I'll start using mine at the weekend and will report back if I get dodgy ones.

lilygirl81 · 03/11/2015 22:00

magpie those are the exact ones I have, I wonder if there is a duff batch then. Definitely going to look out my other ones

MagpieCursedTea · 03/11/2015 22:33

I don't normally get on with OPKs (trouble interpreting them and getting stressed about it) and haven't used them at all this time round until this cycle. Really regretting starting with them as I've become a bit too obsessed. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch too! Let me know how you get on with your other ones if you find them.

Flybynight1 · 04/11/2015 08:33

lily and magpie those are the ones I used this cycle but never got a + but was only using them once a day... Next cycle I have learned the error of my ways!!

sammy hope you can kick back and relax a bit x

nervous apart from the booze and preconcieve vits I don't think I'm doing much else differently? Been meaning to cut back on sugar but got that damn Halloween chocolate that no one came to trick or treat for!! I'm generally trying to eat cleaner but been doing that over the last year for general health and well being x

Flybynight1 · 04/11/2015 08:38

Well I think that's me definitely out this month. Huge temp drop this morning-think I must have ovulated earlier than I thought (OPK didn't help me one bit!) and due to DHs absence we missed the egg. Feeling mega cramps today too. Urgh. I admit that I did do a HPT last night and it came up nada (I'd not peed for about 6 hours). Such a huge temp drop that it has to be AF. Too late for implantation dip (DPO10 if you go by the FF crosshairs)

Just waiting for AF to arrive. On the plus side DH is away next week then home for the rest of the year so next cycle is SMEP!!

Flybynight1 · 04/11/2015 08:38

My chart for those who temp x

It's not over until AF arrives fly! I ruled myself out the day before my BFP due to a temp dip.
