Any temping experts fancy having a look at my chart?

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to look. Would this suggest I ovulated? My opks say no as they only went about a third as dark as the control line. I definitely didn't miss it with the opks as I checked each time I went for a wee on the important dates. This is my 1st month charting and am struggling a little.

Sorry about af rose although I'll bet you're excited to start femara? I've heard a lots more ladies on mn recently being prescribed it! Yours so lucky having such a great dr. I'm very jealous!

Yes I've been looking into Czech clinic and depending on what happens in Jan when we go to the dr's we may plan on going to Czech in Feb half term. NHS waiting lists are just too long to wait after such a wait already. I just can't wait another year for treatment to start. Once we can get a clear idea of timescales and understand more about how many private tries we can have before not being allowed NHS we will make our decision. I have found a local clinic to me where they do a cycle for £3,000 and if the 1st one fails your 2nd is free. I am also thinking about this as a possibility as it will be much easier than foreign travel and I understand it's about £1,700 in Czech Republic for a session. I'll pm you the clinic by me as don't want to give my location away on mn.

Those temps are weird aren't they although I didn't have anything to compare it with. It will be interesting to see if it is similar next month. Blood test to confirm ovulation tomorrow! Very excited! Well, as excited as I can be having a needle stuck in me. So excited to hear the results. I'll certainly keep temping and using CB ovulation sticks. DP says they are too expensive to use every month! Ha! We are considering spending £1,700 or £3,000 on IVF and some £40 sticks are too expensive. Haha.

Hopefully of course we will be lucky this month and not have to think about any of this anymore and get a bfp pigs might fly

When will they scan you for follicles? How many scans will you have? Keep us updated with how you get on with any side effects from this pill.

Vap Thanks for the link. It looks good! I have told DH about it too and he is keen so I will look more into it- great bit of research on your behalf though- thank you. What does your DP think about it?

So I started Femara this morning- 2.5mg per day for 5 days Smile Will have a scan around CD10 and then as many additional scans as the sonographer suggests are needed so we shall see.

Oh and got DH's 3rd sperm analysis back....... 21 MILLION COUNT!!!!!! Smile Smile Smile
So its gone from 8 million to 14 million to 21 million (in 6 months) by taking supplements! We might actually be in with a chance naturally now- Still ploughing ahead with the IVF though. Wink

Sorry to hear AF arrived Rosebud but really great news in the sperm count! What is 'normal' count?

Glad to see the cover line is in the right place Vap0. At least you know you gave it your best shot this month. And you're nearly half way through the 2ww! Keeping everything crossed!

Wow what a count ! What supplements ? X

RoseBud2015 · 14/11/2015 08:47

PCR I think the normal boundary is 15 million so he's done good! How are you doing? x

Belle DH has been on a number of things for the last 5/6 months. ..... he's been taking 1000mg vit c, 100mg zinc, 100mg vit B complex, and 100mg co-enzyme q10 uquinol per day. He's also significantly reduced his caffeine intake, his alcohol consumption and improved his diet (less carbs, more veg, smaller portions) and he's running 3 miles twice a wk! We have literally been trying EVERYTHING to try and improve his count!

I'm not suggesting that the supplements are a miracle cure but I'm convinced they had their part to play, alongside the lifestyle changes.
Keep in mind though that he has been doing all of this for the last 6 months so it was defo a marathon and not a sprint! Lol x

Wow that's some commitment Rosebud! Thanks for putting the 21 million into context. Isn't it absolutely crazy, if you dtd 5 days leading up to ov, you've put 100 million sperm in there and there's still only 1 in 3 chance of getting pregnant off of one of those sperm?!

I am doing ok thanks. For the past month or so I've really wanted to go a week without throwing up but best I've managed is two lots of 5 days. Today is day 2! Haha! Feeling the baby move though definitely makes the sickness seem a little worse.

How are you doing Vap0? Hope the wait isn't killing you too much? When is AF not going to arrive? Positive thoughts!

RoseBud2015 · 14/11/2015 09:21

PCR Bless you! Fingers crossed you get at least few days in a row of no sickness to give you a little break- it must be exhausting! I'm not good with feeling ill at the best of times! lol

Even better than that PCR because the count is worked out per ml- DH produced a 5ml sample so that's over 100 million in one go! We plan to absolutely bombard the egg this cycle Wink

Thanks for the sympathy. It's nowhere near as bad as it was since 16 weeks. It doesn't really interfere with life anymore.

Hi!

rose what a bloody amazing count! Woo Hoo Mr Rose. We never were told dp's results just that they were good. With that brilliant count and femara you're in with a good chance this month! Hope you get your bfp before Xmas Grin Can't wait to hear about your scans and follicles and lining and anything else....

pcr sorry about the sickness, I believe the worse the sickness is the safer the pregnancy, not sure if that's true if if people just say it to make really ill people feel a bit better. Must be amazing feeling her/him move! How exciting! Ahhhh, one day....

7dpo here! I'm itching to test but won't use my frer until 10dpo. May use an ic tomorrow morning just to starve off my addiction. Will try not to as don't want to see a bfn just yet. Only symptom is creamy cm, good news, also have been pretty tired last week, massive sign of pregnancy last time but it has eased off today.

I've been a lot more chilled out since I realised we did in fact ovulate and we dtd on the right days, 5 days before ov but not on ov day not for lack of trying so hoping we have caught it! Who knows. Blood test was yesterday, results will be back on Tuesday. Maybe I'll hold off on using my frer until I get the ov blood test results who am I kidding.

Even though my temps were so low I thought af couldn't be far off.
I can't believe it
I hope this one sticks more than anything!

Vap OMGGGGGGGG!!! Congratulations! This a amazing news! It's weird actually because I had a funny feeling that you were going to be preg this cycle! How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Your temp is rather low but hopefully it will go nice and high again tomorrow.

Getting on fine with my meds thanks- only had headaches which is a relief in comparison to the crazy side effects I had on clomid. Took my last tablet today and have my first follicle tracking scan on Thursday morning. So just waiting for ov now!

Hi!
Yes my temp is really low!
Will keep temping, will it stay above the cover line now for 9 months?
What if it dips below? Will that mean I will mc?
I'm almost scared to keep temping.
Thinking I'll just try to chill out and forget about poas and temp.
Ic had a very light shadow which made me use a frer. I'll bet it would have been a bfp yesterday or even the day before.
I also had my blood test results back today.
To confirm ovulation it needs to be above 30 but mine was only 27.1
Clearly I ovulated but I just knew I didn't have much in the way of hormones!
Zero symptoms apart from having felt a lot more chilled out recently. Not sure if it's a coincidence.
The pic doesn't show the line as well as real life.
I'm just so excited!
I'm looking forward to hearing about your follicle/s

If it were me I would probably temp until AF is due and then stop otherwise you will drive yourself mad with worry!

My understanding is that, ideally, your temp shouldn't go below the cover line when preg but I have seen some charts where it has gone below, but the pregnancy didn't end. For the sake of remaining as calm as possible I would stop temping once AF hasn't shown up in a few days time.

27.1 probably just means that you had your bloods taken a little too early/late (I should be bang on 7 days after ov to get a completely accurate result) Maybe you ov'ed on CD13 rather than 14? Who knows- but you are defo preg!!!! x

Ahhhh! How did I not see this last night Vap0! Soooo pleased for you! Fingers crossed it sticks. From what I recall, you're not supposed to carry on temping once you've got your BFP. It's apparently not accurate. Ideally you should stay above the cover line but I think if you temp you'll stress yourself out and make the readings inaccurate. You won't sleep properly etc.

Congratulations Thanks

Thanks!

I decided not to take my temp today. I knew it would stress me out so all ttc paraphernalia has been put away. Trying to stay calm and forget about it all.
I have a good feeling about it this time. Although have had some weird cramping but not sure if I'm imagining it.

Cramping is fine. When I got my BFP, had I not tested early, I wouldn't have bothered testing until a couple of days late as it felt exactly like the build up to AF. The cramping was pretty bad and constant for a fortnight. Again, all normal and just stretching as long as there is no blood.

Thanks pcr you have put my mind at rest! I keep checking the loo paper every time I go in terror! Luckily it's been ok. Just want to get past 6 weeks and I'll feel safer about things as we lost the last one just before 5 weeks.

I know I was desperate to get to 6 weeks. Most miscarriages seem to happen before 6 weeks.

Also enjoy the increased discharge which means you'll be convinced it must be blood as it's so wet! Keeping everything crossed for you!

You must be in your 2ww?

Any strategy of when to test and what kind of test?

Did you manage to dtd at the right times?

How long did your positive opk last?

Hi ladies,

Well what a rollercoaster few days that has been...... so as you know I had a positive opk, temp rise, EWCM and ovary pain a few days ago and the FF confirmed ov! Smile

But..... had my follicle tracking scan where it showed no dominant follicle with the largest one only being 9mm Sad They also found fluid in my lining that shouldn't be there so referred me for an urgent appointment with my consultant and said we would have to abandon this cycle Sad Cue me crying my eyes out on DH on Thursday and Friday!

Saw my consultant today who said that she didn't think the fluid was anything to worry about and that the sonographer was just being cautious (fair enough!) but that she didn't think the Femara/Letrozole had worked this cycle Sad I explained all my signs of ov but she still isn't convinced it worked as there was no dominant follicle when I think I ov'ed.

So we will continue DTD regularly for the rest of this cycle (she says we don't need to abandon it after all) and will wait to see what happens. I think it's looking more and more likely that IVF will be our only viable option.

Vap I saw on another thread that you had spotting- how are things now? x

PCR Hope your sickness has subsided some more! x
