I took a pregnancy test last night a cheap one and came back positive within a minute, then proceeded to take a clear blue today and nothing showed up in the 10 minute period, checked 20 minutes later and a line appeared which is blue and has colour to it and can clearly be seen (unsure how to add photo) but unsure if its an evaporation line or what please help i am so confused

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a false positive or not. I'm on the pill, but was a bit late with some of them-never a missed day though. I had what I thought was my period but being on the pill, I know it's a withdrawal bleed. It's been almost 4 weeks since I've had unprotected sex and 3 weeks since my withdrawal bleed. I did a test today and I'm not sure if this is a false positive or not. Please help.

@Kris593 it looks very much positive, but the dates don’t really add up. If you bled a week after sex, everything would have emptied out. Plus, because sperm can live for a while inside of you, conception could have been 3-4 weeks ago. That would mean you are 5-6 weeks pregnant. I would expect a stronger line at that point so even though this is very strong for an evap line, I would say something isn’t adding up. Take another one; maybe a different brand. If all else fails, ask your doctors to do an HCG blood test.
Take care.

took a test this morning, unsure when ov was but test was negative a couple minutes after taking it so threw it out, checked it hours after and it’s very positive, unsure of how to feel or if it means anything.

I’d say that’s a definite positive! Evap lines are usually much fainter.
best thing to do is take another test in the morning with your first wee of the day (it will give the best result) and I’d expect it to come up mush quicker tomorrow. Even better go grab yourself a first response pregnancy test as I always found them the most reliable for early testing x

Is this positive then?? I was convinced there was a line but it was so faint no camera picked it up, put it in the bin came home an hour later and found it like this.

Sorry I’d say negative on that one as the line has no colour. Try a pink dye test like first response - they are usually more reliable early on! Fingers crossed for you x

Hi all.

Currently TTC (1st attempt this month).

I am roughly 11dpo and have had negative early response tests, but decided to have a quick look at the one I took roughly 6am this morning (it’s 6pm now) and I have noticed this line. Is this an evap or does it have any colour? TIA

Adding to my post earlier.. evap or faint line? I looked this morning, negative. 12hrs later this line appears.
