We have been so busy chatting I've started a new thread. Welcome all 10+ ladies. Hope we all have some luck on this thread.

Thanks Lucie, I'll let you know how it goes. I guess with the hysteroscopy they'll be able to let me know there and then. The NK cell stuff gets sent to the USA I think so not sure how long that will take.
We just had a call from our NHS hospital, they have a cancellation for Friday. DH can't make it and I want to have all my test results before we see the specialist and discuss treatment. Hopefully another cancellation comes up in December/early Jan.

lucieloos · 23/11/2015 15:05

Yes will be interesting to her how it all goes. A cancellation would be brilliant! Fingers crossed! I have decided to stick with the private round in Czech in Jan and then hopefully NHS in Feb or March but see what they say next week

hello all,
Please can I join you? My temp dropped this morning which means my period will be here any minute now, which also means it's officially 12 months trying. I've never even taken a test in all this time as my cycles are like clockwork.
I'm 35 and trying for no. 1 which feels pretty hopeless. I've had all the blood tests with my GP and hormones seem fine, AMH is 'good', OH's SA was normal too.
Got referred over a month ago but still don't have an appointment. Have a a scan booked on 8 Dec and then I presume there'll be more waiting for the results and then an appointment. How long does it usually take between referral and when you first get to see a consultant?
Sorry for the all the questions! I've officially run out of "new things to try this cycle"!

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 18:50

Trixie - I was doing ok but then this afternoon I have started getting af cramps which I know everyone says can happen in pregnancy but it just feels like every other month. Now I can't stop thinking that it hasn't worked. Feeling very sad and tearful. Xx

lucieloos · 23/11/2015 19:10

Oh Sammy this is the stress of the 2ww! Please try not to worry so many of the symptoms are the same as af. Try and put it out of your mind if you can. It's way too early for af for you and as you said yourself cramping is common. It could be your little embryo burrowing in.

OP posts:
Trixietwenty16 · 23/11/2015 21:12

Try to stay positive Sammy, the 2ww is so much harder on an IVF cycle. There is soo much on the Internet about AF cramping before a BFP.

Welcome Star, great that all your results have been good. I think referral times vary but I had my scan on 10 November and our consultation is on 22 January....that said we were offered a cancellation appointment for Friday today which we can't make. Hoping another one comes up.

loopylou1984 · 23/11/2015 21:43

Thank you girls, I know I'm being silly. I just can't seem to stop the tears now that they've started. Poor dh doesn't know what to do with me! I just want to go to sleep and wake up 9 months pregnant.

Welcome star, Please do stick around, I promise to be more useful in future! Xx

star1980 · 24/11/2015 09:27

Thanks ladies, I've been watching both threads and hoping I wouldn't have to join, but it feels comforting to talk things through with others.
Sammy, I hope you're feeling a little better this morning? it sounds so hard and it's impossible not to worry but in the end it will be worth it.

Period arrived this morning and I feel absolutely fine. Seems I've stopped hoping my temp drop might be a fluke or maybe I've given up hope but somehow the missing devastation today feels wrong. Maybe it's just holding off a little til I get to work Confused

Trixietwenty16 · 24/11/2015 12:18

I know what you mean Sammy, I spent the last few days of my first IVF a tearful wreck. Try and distract yourself and remember there is every chance it has worked.

Just had my hysteroscopy, was absolutely fine and got to see inside my womb on the screen which was pretty odd. The NK biopsy on the other hand was pretty painful. Then had loads of blood taken. Think I will be heading home to the sofa.

lucieloos · 24/11/2015 12:44

That's great news trixie so they couldn't see any problems inside the womb?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 24/11/2015 13:10

I'm a bit better this morning thank you, but still getting cramping on and off, and they were pretty bad in the night.
I keep running to the loo to check as I'm convinced it is on its way. Xx

loopylou1984 · 24/11/2015 13:11

Trixie - sorry the biopsy was painful, head home and rest up! Xx

Trixietwenty16 · 24/11/2015 18:23

No problems at all Lucie. Just need to wait a few weeks for the bloods and biopsy to come back now. The nurses reminded me that the endometrial scratch can improve the chances of implantation....on CD12 though and Dr said not to DTD until spotting has stopped. I spotted for a few days after the hycosy so hopefully this isn't so bad.

Sammy when would AF be due to arrive? Have everything crossed that the cramping is implantation.

loopylou1984 · 24/11/2015 18:31

Af not due until sat or sun, but it's not unusual for me to have several days of cramping before.

How amazing if you get a bfp after your scratch? Xx

lucieloos · 24/11/2015 18:47

That's great all clear trixie. I had a scratch before my first transfer. It is effective for 3 cycles so should hopefully still be ok when you have your next transfer. Maybe that's what the nurse meant.

OP posts:
Trixietwenty16 · 24/11/2015 20:07

Ah, I thought maybe it would be effective next cycle too but didn't realise it was effective for three! We're pretty sure our next transfer will be our NHS go and that depends on the waiting list. I guess I could always get a scratch done privately before.

I know, it would be amazing Sammy!

Trixietwenty16 · 26/11/2015 08:22

How are you Sammy? Feel like I'm counting down your 2ww with you!

Lucie did you have discomfort after your scratch? My bleeding from my biopsy has stopped but still having mild cramping on/off.

loopylou1984 · 26/11/2015 08:26

Trixie I'm ok, cramping seems to have lessened a bit this morning which for some bizarre reasons seems to be freaking me out. It's official, this 2ww has driven me insane. I don't feel any different, and I guess if I'm honest I'm expecting a bfn. I think it's going to be a down day today. Xx

lucieloos · 26/11/2015 08:38

I don't think I had too much discomfort trixie. Had some light bleeding for a day or two but don't remember cramping. In sure it's normal though.

Sammy, not long to go now. Try and stay positive!

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 26/11/2015 12:50

I'm trying Lucie, I'm up and down like a yoyo! Lol.
The cramps are really quite bad, worse than normal at this point. Do you think if it hasn't worked all the poking around down there would have made it a more painful period? Xx

lucieloos · 26/11/2015 13:33

I'm not sure Sammy, when I've had egg collections and my transfer af was heavier after but I don't remember having really bad cramps.

OP posts:
Trixietwenty16 · 26/11/2015 15:10

Yes, sure it is normal Lucie, I guess with the biopsy they have to get a decent sample so maybe that's why I'm still suffering a bit. Have had a bit more spotting which is annoying, oh well, will be worth it to find out if there is a problem.

The 2ww is bad enough but the IVF 2ww is like a form of torture. In my fresh IVF I remember being really surprised because I had no cramps at all when AF showed up (had quite a few in the days after transfer) and it wasn't any heavier than normal. With my FET (when I was pumped full of progesterone) AF was maybe a bit worse than usual but not much. I didn't have much in the way of cramping in the lead up to test day but then every cycle seems to be different....

loopylou1984 · 26/11/2015 15:19

The clinic just called to see how I am and check I've not gone crazy.... Ermmmmm so I lied and said I hadn't! Lol. Xx

Trixietwenty16 · 27/11/2015 11:09

Haha, is there anyone who wouldn't go crazy! Mind you what would they have done if you said you had gone crazy....

Looks like I'm going to have to sit this month out, still having a bit of spotting and cramping....tempted to DTD anyway but worried about the risk of infection.

Trixietwenty16 · 28/11/2015 08:02

Sammy I really hope AF stays away for you. Are you planning to test at all? Keep us posted!
