Ps good luck in Prague Lucie. Have everything crossed for you.

lucieloos · 08/10/2015 12:43

Aww congrats on becoming an aunt trixie although I know it must be hard at the same time. Hope you get a follow up appt soon and get lots of answers to your questions. I'm just sat in Starbucks at the airport waiting for my flight. I'm going on my own this time which feels strange and a little lonely, I will be ok though. I'm just dreading the news tomorrow though as I know it's going to be a max of 4 eggs. It's so much harder knowing that you don't have any room to lose any.

Hope you're ok Sammy, keep strong, it won't be long before you begin again. Big hugs to you both.

I'm ok too, feeling a bit better physically now which helps. My mum has been over to visit (and walk the dog!) this morning which was nice.

I know what you mean about feeling bad for dh. It's almost worse than the disappointment you feel yourself. I just want to give him the baby he so badly wants.

Hope work goes ok, fx it'll make the day pass quickly.

Lucie - when are you off? So exciting, fx for plenty of eggs :). Xx

loopylou1984 · 08/10/2015 12:46

Ps. Congratulations on becoming an auntie Trixie! Nieces are lovely (I have three, soon to be four) :).

loopylou1984 · 08/10/2015 12:47

Cross posts Lucie. You'll be fine by yourself, is it just the one night you're staying? Xx

Trixielilac11 · 08/10/2015 12:59

Thanks ladies. I am trying not to go too overboard on gifts but it is hard not to.

Glad you're feeling better Sammy.

You'll be fine Lucie, keep us posted.

I'm wondering when AF will show, had a few cramps earlier but fine now. Last time AF arrived without warning the next afternoon but I was on so much progesterone this time it may take a while.

loopylou1984 · 08/10/2015 13:06

Trixie - at least we can be on knicker watch together?

I go ott with the baby gifts too, can't help it. I see so much I like! Xx

Pikz · 08/10/2015 14:12

Just coming on with large hugs and lots of love for you all

loopylou1984 · 08/10/2015 16:01

Thank you Pikz. Xx

Trixielilac11 · 09/10/2015 13:10

Aw, thanks Pikz!

Still no sign of AF here, I bet she rocks up tomorrow when I am travelling to Bath for the day to catch up with friends.

Have you had your egg collection yet Lucie?

Have arranged our follow up for 26 October, ideally would prefer it sooner but difficult to get a date that works for the Dr, me and DH.

lucieloos · 09/10/2015 13:25

Hi there, yes had my egg collection this morning. We only got the three eggs again. I don't know why I'm disappointed as with only 4 good size follicles and the others too small I don't know what I was expecting. We did so well getting two blasts from the two that fertilised last time I just think there's no way that could happen a second time around so I don't have a good feeling about it all. I would be grateful to come out of this one with anything at all. One blast would be amazing.

I'm going to give my ovaries a rest now as I wonder if that's why I'm not doing as well as back in April and June. Hopefully they just need time to replenish. I'm thinking of trying again in Jan. I have to ring up tomorrow to find out how many mature and how many fertilise so here we go again on the rollercoaster!

Thank you for the hugs pikz Smile

Have everything crossed that all of your eggs make it to blasts Lucie.
I think giving your ovaries a rest is wise.

Have just booked my scan and bloods at the NHS fertility clinic, soonest they can do is 10 November which isn't too bad. Think we have an appointment afterwards and then hopefully we can go on the NHS waiting list and if it's 6 months or less then we will wait for that rather than doing another FET.

loopylou1984 · 09/10/2015 17:50

Lucie that's good, try not to be disappointed. How many did u freeze last time?

Glad you're getting your appointments sorted Trixie - makes you feel productive.

A nurse from the clinic called today and told me we'd have to wait for this bleed and the next before doing the natural cycle. This is 100% not what we were told on Wednesday so dh and I are going to email them later together. Xx

lucieloos · 09/10/2015 22:24

Thanks Sammy, we got 2 frozen last time so 100%. I just think that was so lucky though and can't see it happening again although it would be amazing if it did!

Does the nurse mean that you can start on the cycle after this one Sammy or do you have to wait the whole of that cycle too and start on the 3rd bleed?

Trixie glad you are getting the NHS ball rolling. Are you just doing the fresh with them rather than fet because of costs?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 10/10/2015 07:39

You never know Licie, keeping everything crossed for you!

She meant after the 2nd bleed, but dh and I are certain that the nurse on Wednesday said we could go straight from the first bleed. I really don't want to wait what could end up being 8 weeks for the transfer. It's not fair. Xx

lucieloos · 10/10/2015 08:01

That does seem a little strange Sammy as you can normally do fets back to back so don't see why you would need to wait an extra month this time. Hopefully the doctor will be able to sort it out.

OP posts:
Trixielilac11 · 10/10/2015 11:02

I can't understand why they'd want you to wait a cycle Sammy. I'd understand if this was straight after your fresh cycle but it was a FET and you weren't taking meds for long. FX it gets sorted.

Any news yet Lucie?

Have had AF cramps this morning, hope she does turn up as will be good to get this cycle over and done with.

lucieloos · 10/10/2015 12:57

Hey, rung for my results this morning and looks like we are in exactly the same position as my last round of treatment. Of the 3 eggs collected only 2 were mature again, both of which fertilised. I have told dh he has great sperm which is lucky for us. Out of the 3 cycles we have always had 100% fertilisation! I was really hoping for 3 embryos though just to give us a tiny bit of leeway this time but it was not to be. She said they are developing well at the moment but it's so hard as obviously there is such a long way for them to go now and anything could happen. Feeling stressed!

OP posts:
Trixielilac11 · 10/10/2015 19:58

Have a big glass of wine Lucie. I am so hoping it is the same as last time and you get 2 blasts to freeze.

Trixielilac11 · 10/10/2015 19:59

Ps good work Mr Lucie!

lucieloos · 10/10/2015 20:11

Thanks trixie having a couple of drinks tonight. That's me done until Jan now unless we decide to have a fet before Xmas but I doubt it. I'm quite looking forward to a couple of months where I can get back to normal, go out, have drinks, maybe a little break somewhere. I just hope these two do ok first.

Salimali15 · 10/10/2015 20:20

Hi all. I'm 14 months in with no sniff of a BFP. I've been doing the usual OPK, acupuncture etc but nada!

In our area the wait for an NHS initial consultation is 6 months so I had all the preliminary tests done privately. Had an awful time with the HSG yesterday and now sat here hardly able to move. All of the tests have come back as 'normal' so we're at a total crossroads of not knowing what to do now.

loopylou1984 · 10/10/2015 20:34

Lucie - hooray for 2 fertilised! Fx they both make it to blast, but fab news that you get to relax a bit now.

You too Trixie, chill out time is needed!

Welcome Sali - unexplained sucks, you're pleased nothing's wrong but left wondering why you're not getting pg! What went wrong with the HSG?
Anyway, this thread is amazingly supportive, stick with us :).

AFM - I got an email back from the original nurse we saw who clarified that we are able to start straight away - but it'll depend on timing as obviously they can't plan me a slot as don't know when af will arrive and if they're full I'll have to wait till next month. Makes much more sense. Xx

Salimali15 · 10/10/2015 21:29

Thanks for your lovely welcome Sammy. The tube got caught on a ridge causing more pain and internal bruising than usual, apparently. Confused
