Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

I keep telling myself I'm going to start temping next cycle, when it starts anyway!! I'll need help too!

POAS again, BFN.. Don't know why I put myself through it, I knew it would be after I tested at the weekend but as this cycle is ridiculously long is convinced myself otherwise!! Sad

neetie thanks... Is there any chocolate orange about? I'm addicted!!

MrsFlowers82 · 12/11/2015 20:59

I'm out. As predicted spotting has started. I'll say one thing; least my cycle is effing consistent.

Tries to force a smile but fails so reaches for chocolate orange and instead of breaking off a segment, takes a massive bite

MrsKittenPie · 12/11/2015 21:37

mrsflowers - sorry about that Flowers. Do whatever you feel like to cheer yourself up this weekend - maybe pamper yourself. It really is gutting though, I'll be doing the same next weekend, ttc is vile
glitter - sorry for bfn too. How frustrating for you.
neetie - yes join us newbies temping - it's interesting! You learn about your cycle lots.

MrsKittenPie · 12/11/2015 21:37

I can't believe prty is missing out on the selection box! .......

MrsFlowers82 · 12/11/2015 21:46

It's ok, it was thoroughly expected but the disappointment still hurts like hell

I'm having a bit of a break now to eat and drink whatever the hell I want over Christmas but I will join you temping in January! You will all be pros by then and can help me decipher my chart!

MummyBex1985 · 12/11/2015 22:27

Ugh it really is the BFN club isn't it. I've had three this week lol. I never learn to stop with the pissy sticks though.

Hugs all round and snatches the remaining chocolate from MrsF and takes a monster bite

MummyBex1985 · 13/11/2015 07:54

AF. Sad

MrsFlowers82 · 13/11/2015 08:35

Sorry Bex Flowers

MrsKittenPie · 13/11/2015 08:44

Sorry bex - af is a bitch. Big hugs x

PrtyPsn · 13/11/2015 09:20

(picks up empty selection box and shakes until all empty wrappers fall out)
Humph! Nothing is safe around you lot!
So many AFs and BFNs kicking around :( sorry and hugs to all x
I'm not stopping over Xmas, feel like I can't waste a cycle. Going to be difficult with no drinking (and no pate!!!) but there's worse things than making up a few lies to cover up

Hi all, so sorry about the arrival of AF Bex and flowers, and the BFN glitter. This has been a rubbish month for us all. Let's hope a bit of festive glitz cheers us all up a bit. At least we've got Strictly, good winter Telly, cosy nights in, soup, chocolate. There is something quite comforting about autumn/winter...

I'm currently on CD 5. If I'm anything like last month, I'm due to ovulate on CD9, so me and hubby better get BD-ing. I'm still at tail end of AF, so haven't BD'd yet, but determined to BD every day in lead up to OV this month, and a couple of days after. Hope hubby is up to the job. I'm going to try and take this month in moderation. Won't cut out drinking entirely, but cut out un-neccessary drinking - ie. G&T on a Monday after exhausting day, etc... Am going to temp, as I really like the clarity it gives, and also going to try and relax and look after myself as much as poss. Pamper month. Ooh, that sounds good. As I'm convinced stress doesn't help with me at all.

BTW, those temping, my temp doesn't tend to drop on day of AF. It did this month, but I've been known to get a drop on 3rd day before. Annoying I know.

hippybird · 13/11/2015 12:05

Flowers, enjoy your break. I hope you'll drop in here form time to time! Flowers

MrsFlowers82 · 13/11/2015 12:20

I will be here! Still going keep BDing but going to try and save my sanity a bit by indulging myself over my anniversary and Xmas! Actually feeling quite good about it today and excited, looking forward to lots of greedy dinners washed down with wine and prosecco!!

FX for you all xxx

funnybeanz · 13/11/2015 13:41

We are certainly due a run of bfps soon I'd say. Af arrived today, completely expected. I'm on holiday and packed everything for Af and didn't bother to bring a pregnancy test. I just knew we didn't dtd enough. Not feeling too bad about it (sun, beach etc has made me feel a bit better ). I am having fleeting thoughts that we aren't going to be one of the lucky ones to ever have children but going to stick at it and will nag dp to have a sperm test done as we've got the referral from gp. Envious of those taking a break for Xmas, I want to but I know that in the back of my mind I'd be calculating dates etc so I'm not even going to pretend I'm having a break. Will start temping when I'm back from hols. Hope everyone is OK, feels like there has been a run of negative tests and afs. Roll on some positives for us all!

MrsFlowers82 · 13/11/2015 14:42

I have those fleeting thoughts too Funny, real moments of doubt and despair actually! Sad But like you say you have to keep going and keep positive. I am actually a massive believer in visualisation and the power of the mind, that's half why I want a break. I am sure I am thinking about it too much...I sometimes feel like it is ruling my life and I am sure it is ultimately having a negative impact. Not sure I will entirely forget about it all but I think stress is a massive factor in this TTC lark, like you said Hippy. For me it less about drinking/eating and more that I really feel like I need some R&R to take my mind away from it all, even if it doesn't work is only slightly. I have been so cautious and tried to do all I can the past few months, fat lot of good it has done me as I am still here in the throws of yet another AF! I think it will be good for DH too, as know it stresses and worries him. Am really hoping that over anniversary we can have some time to just be 'us' again. Then I can be all refreshed to turn into Physco Temper in the New Year! [grins]

Sorry - that was a bit of a brain dump. It's quite here at work today so I am procrastinating online!

neetie1 · 13/11/2015 18:24

Well these arrived today so all set for next month they even included a fertility chart just need to figure out how to use it lol

So it's John Wayne vs Les Dawson in The Great British Pee Off and Prty's judging... get ready to be basted, lovelies!
SharyBobbins · 13/11/2015 20:47

Angry Just this minute received a letter from my GP with details of my referral in, via the next door neighbour! It was posted to me on the 30th October! Fuming!!

MummyBex1985 · 13/11/2015 21:18

MrsF sounds like a great plan. A break may be as good as a holiday. Smile

Thank you all of you for your sympathies with the arrival of the red bitch from hell lol. I was really disappointed this morning, thought we had a real shot with it this month with all the symptoms. Back to feeling upbeat though, it'll happen eventually. (It WILL, dammit!)

PrtyPsn · 14/11/2015 09:35

Right, final basting yesterday (apparently a day after my fertile window according to app) CD21 now of 32 day cycle so firmly in TWW now... goodbye sanity!!

OP posts:
neetie1 · 14/11/2015 13:11

Good luck prty. DH off to China soon but managed a quick basting this morning might be a bit early but if the little buggers can swim around for a few days and I ovulate early you never know. Af pretty much done so will test from tomorrow.
Need help with the temping thing though as not sure when best to do it.

hippybird · 14/11/2015 14:26

Shary how annoying!! At least you have the referral now. Get down to the docs, pronto!!
Neetie and Prty, hope your basting worked!!
I'm at the tail end of my perid, basically gone, so tonight gonna start the basting as well:-)
Funny thing though with my temps. I know you're all as clueless as me about temping, but my temp has dropped since AF, but not below the coverline. In my book "Taking Charge of your fertility, it says if your temp stays above your coverline for 18 days, you are almost certainly preggers. Today is day 18. I did dip onto coverline on day of Af, but then went up again. Not as high as after ovulation, but higher than AF dip. Weird. I tested yesterday out of confusion with IC, and it was BFN. Anyway, I hope it's OK to have high temps before ovulation, i'll need quite a big temp shift! I'll post a couple of pics in a mo. Let me know if you have any insights... Thanks guys!

hippybird · 14/11/2015 14:27

Have to post two showing the beginning and end of cycle...

neetie1 · 14/11/2015 15:01

Which app do you use? I have got a sheet they included with the opk kits but might switch to an app

hippybird · 14/11/2015 16:46

I use Ovia and Glow. I like the way Ovia gives you little daily tips and facts, but I find glow to be more accurate in terms of picking up ovulation. For example Glow gave me an ovulation label the last two months (when I clearly did ovulate, whereas Ovia didn't, and therefore was way out on what it called my "fertile window". It teaches you not to trust the fertile Windows on the app at all. Go by CM and temps and cervical position I would (ooh, that was a bit Yoda!)

PrtyPsn · 15/11/2015 16:26

Smacked my boob on the sink today - don't ask, they are huge and the sink was bigger than I estimated - tried to convince myself the resulting pain could be a symptom! Yes, it's DBAFD 10 but a girl can dream, right? Save me!!
