Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2458534-Prtys-Gang-and-The-Festival-of-Foof-Fun-when-they-not-being-cray-cray?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Hi ladies

Like a lot you you i'm TTC #1. I was in the pill only for a few months then came off it in August at the end of a pack. I had a withdrawal bleed. I had regular periods prior to going on the pill approx 28 day cycles, then 17th sept had AF which was later than usual. I'm now overdue AF today is now day 31, I took a test on Thursday it was BFN which was dissapointing.
I've had sore heads for a week now which I don't usually get and have had cramps for a around 6 days now,
Is there a chance I could be pg or is my body just adjusting after coming off the pill?

Baby dust for everyone smile

PrtyPsn · 18/10/2015 14:04

Hey rosi (hands over a Prty's gang induction pack - basically a bulging bag of chocolate)
Could be either, sadly symptoms for both are the same... I would leave it at least 48 hours and test again

Rosi393 · 18/10/2015 14:12

Thanks for the advice, if AF has not arrived in a few days think I will test again. Anticipation is the worst part! Confused

neetie1 · 18/10/2015 15:00

Well this is the weirdest af ever ..still cramping not bad just there, not even painful in fact...very odd. Getting headaches and backache as well. Oddest thing though is DH says my boobs do look and feel bigger and firmer , now the only time they have ever done that before was when I put on weight, sooo hops onto the scales thinking oh bugger I've put on loads but I haven't in fact I have lost a few pounds Hmm

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 18/10/2015 15:38

That is weird neetie.

My boobs are so sore at the moment. They feel bruised! It probably doesn't mean much as they always hurt before AF, although not usually quite this much.

funnybeanz · 18/10/2015 15:59

Hi everyone, wondered if I could join you on this crazy journey? I made a thread on Friday as had a big meltdown after af arriving when I'd really convinced myself this could be my month. So was ready to give up and everything was stupid. Now I'm slightly more in control but this is such a crazy time. I never realised ttc would be this much of a rollercoster, don't know why I bothered spending time avoiding getting pregnant for 15 odd years! Anyway I'm 33 ttc number 1, came off the pill in January but really started monitoring cycles etc in April. We were supposed to just be "seeing what happens" instead of actively trying but obviously that didn't last long! I'm very worried and wonder about booking doctors appointments for us both. Haven't told friends or family either. Smile

MrsFlowers82 · 18/10/2015 16:11

Hi Funny you sound like you are in the same boat as me timings and age wise. I had a big meltdown last week as well. No one ever tells you how all consuming TTC actually is. It's exhausting and emotionally draining, however I am now at the start of cycle and going to try and be optimistic again. We WILL get our BFPs! Plus this group is lovely and a massive support. Welcome on board!

Neetie I am also in the middle of a weird AF. No cramps, backache which I have never had before and it seems to have vanished after just two days with just a tiny bit of spotting today. I must say though, slightly jealous of your weird bigger boobs and weight loss!!! Why can't I ever achieve that?!

SharyBobbins · 18/10/2015 16:47

Glad you joined us Beanz! (can I call you beanz?!)

neetie1 · 18/10/2015 17:11

To add to the weirdness mrsf am getting niggly tight sensations and feeling dizzy and light headed. Hmm did a cheapie teSt just then and of course BfN but it's all very odd.

PrtyPsn · 18/10/2015 18:05

Oh god, 2 newbies on one day (runs around trying to find chocolate bars instead of just wrappers to throw into a starter pack then thrusts it at beanz)
You are more than welcome to join our crazy little gang, my lovely :) totally know what you mean re: avoiding pregnancy for 15 years! Hopefully you can find some comfort here x
neetie sorry to hear of BFN, why do our bodies do this?!
Current mood - never, ever, POAS again, so there (blows raspberry at own womb)

OP posts:
neetie1 · 18/10/2015 18:42

I think I will just carry on as normal and monitor boobs and everything else,

my body had always been weird lol
Am at docs on the 30th so by then I should know a bit more

MummyBex1985 · 18/10/2015 19:01

I'll join the weird boob crew (lol), mine have been tingling for five days but on third day of AF so definitely not PG.

Wondering if it's worth chucking everything at it this month - OPKs, quitting booze altogether, pre seed, bla bla although I'd do that, get another BFN and be even more pissed off than I am now

Welcome to the new people Smile

Rosi393 · 18/10/2015 19:04

Thanks for the nice welcome! It's good to know we aren't on are own. TTC is definitely a roller coaster ??

PrtyPsn · 18/10/2015 19:38

bex it's easier than you think - I used to drink a few times a week and cannot function without coffee, been booze free since March and caffeine free for a good few months now, it's an adjustment but nearly as much as you'd think. I just need to overhaul my diet :/ due to this ridiculous cycle, like either 9 or 3 days late for AF now (I'm guessing due to my bleed/chemical) I'm gonna try OPK again for next cycle - never had a positive with them but feeling really lost atm

Hi all, hello newbies too!
Lots of posts I just read, can't remember much (sorry) except the snidey comments bit. My managing director said last week 'did you do anything nice at the weekend? What do childless couples do these days for fun?' He was being funny (he has two young boys) but I only just stopped myself from saying 'try to make children'

Anyhoo. Not having a great day. After my two bfps in a row I've tried 4other brands both yesterday and today, including a FRER. All negative. I'm thinking this might not be what it seemed. I guess still early yet though. 10dpo today.

glitterpoppy · 18/10/2015 19:51

Hi all, waves to the new people I went out for a meal last night with my DH and Id felt pretty sick every time I ate all day and last night was no exception, we ended up coming home early... Either symptoms or the fact that I eat like a pig?! Probably the latter Confused

Pirsy1 · 18/10/2015 20:00

Hi funny and rosi - welcome to this lovely thread!

Moo - I hope those negative tests today were faulty. I will be very disappointed if yesterday's news was a false alarm. Fingers crossed that AF stays away.

Poppy where are you in your cycle now?

We are going to family wedding next weekend - DHs cousin. DH has said he would like to be a daddy before his cousin so that our baby can be the first out of all his cousins. I think this is unlikely because they will probably be one of those couples that gets pregnant on the honeymoon - but we really need to try our hardest to make this happen!

PrtyPsn · 18/10/2015 20:01

Awww moo keep the faith, it ain't over til it's over, put the sticks down though and wait out AF :)
poppy sounds interesting, when's AF due?

OP posts:
glitterpoppy · 18/10/2015 20:45

I'm CD26, my app tells me AF is due 23rd. If that's right I have no idea as my cycles have been very irregular.. Confusing!

MrsKittenPie · 18/10/2015 20:50

Sorry to anyone having a crap time Flowers
neetie - how strange about your boobs! Our bodies really like to play tricks on us and it's so confusing.
poppy - sounds interesting- when are you testing?
prty - how confusing for you
Hi newbies - welcome to this lovely thread!
moo - oh no, that must be so upsetting, they definitely looked like bfps though so maybe wait a couple of days then test again? Easier said than done
Sorry if I've missed anyone - quickly read thread to catch up.
Prediction - I will start poas this week as based on that spotting last month being an af then I will be due next weekend - I always do this to myself - try and convince myself I see I faint line on all the sticks then my spotting begins and my hopes are shattered again then roll onto next month....

glitterpoppy · 18/10/2015 21:14

I'm going to wait afew days and may POAS later this week.. I'll see how I go and how the temptation is!

MrsKittenPie · 18/10/2015 21:21

poppy - sounds like a plan! I could do with some of your will power myself Smile

MummyBex1985 · 18/10/2015 21:22

Prty my main problem is DH, he wouldn't quit drinking so the temptation would always be there and I have no willpower at all. I feel like I NEED my morning coffee (although I do drink decaf during the day) and if I have a stressful day I also NEED wine (lol).

People I know will think I'm PG if I quit drinking and I'd probably feel like slapping them for saying it lol!

Still, I'm going to give it a go. Nothing else is working so why not Wink

themoo · 18/10/2015 21:43

My god I don't know what I'd do without you all lol

breaks out a chocolate orange in your honour

PrtyPsn · 18/10/2015 22:12

bex with the exception of OH and my one friend who knows we are TTC nobody else knows I've quit drinking (if they did know they would guess about TTC instantly!) it's involved a lot of lying and pretending which has probably been harder than quitting! OH said he would quit too though I wasn't really bothered if he did it not, he hasn't managed it but has cut down. That probably makes it easier in public because if we both stopped it would look odd.
I'm not preaching or anything but believe me, I was exactly the sane as you, but it's not for everyone. It does get easier the longer you go without :)
