Am hoping you are safely home and settled in with DS2 and DS1 and that you have a good and restful night Cupcake. Flowers

My DS is still awake and sitting cuddled up on Dh's knee with his milk. Hopefully, he'll sleep longer in the morning and we'll get a lie in.

zombiemeow · 28/10/2015 21:21

Thanks sunny, tbh I kind of feel like I can't wait for it to kick off so I can just get it over with, think he realises I'm at that point as he has been sucking up to me all evening.

Lulu I would like ds to stay up later but he gets so tired and grumpy! Hope dh is relaxing during his time off.

Yay hope cupcake is at home with her ds's Grin

We are home now :)
DS1 has just fallen asleep. He's downstairs atm with his dad. He's staying till Sunday and sleeping on the sofa. He's helping with ds1.
It's awful because he's been amazing through all this, like the person I always wanted to be! Not only has he taken care of DS1 but he's actually taken care of me.
Times like this i think was it good we broke up?
I'm just grateful for help atm as I'm still rather sore.

DS1 love his brother!!! :) he kept coming up to his Moses basket and gently stroking his arm saying 'aww baby sleep'.

Hospital discharged me with no painkillers!! :( all I've got is paracetamol here at home. They don't rele do much tho!

My milk has well and truly come in tonight !!!
I never knew breast feeding was like this! They are so full and sore! If I just touch them milk poors out!

iamdivergent · 29/10/2015 06:17

They will settle down in a few days cuupcake days 3-5 are the worst for breastfeeding.

Hope you got some sleep.

Drs today for a booking appt, he will refer me to the mw after seeing me. 6+1 today and feeling sick, sick, sick!

zombiemeow · 29/10/2015 07:18

Yay cupcake! Is feeding going ok?

That's lovely of ds1 Smile how did he sleep?

And yes you did the right thing breaking up, just remember all the bad times, then you thought he'd changed, then he went bad again. Stay strong!

Good luck iam! Are you being sick or just having nausea? I had it bad with dd, it's not nice.

OP posts:
iamdivergent · 29/10/2015 14:38

Currently just nauseous!

Had my booking appt with the drs today. He has dated me 27th June but says I and my 6+1 so I'm just sticking with my estimate of 22nd June til scan says otherwise. He took tons of blood, 6 containers worth and mind my bp was normal. He's referred me to mw and said they'll contact me in a few weeks for their own booking appt and I should get scan appt in the mail too. I've come away with a bruised crook, and my little folder and copy of ready steady baby! I'd totally forgotten about that! Dr advised me to tell work as I work in a very high risk environment so I did that today, they're going to work out a risk assessment for me hopefully next week. We didn't discuss mat leave or anything, said they'll leave that until after you scan and I'm sure everything is OK with it.

Cupcake92 · 29/10/2015 21:07

Iam sounds like ur booking appt went well! So pleased for u!! :) Shame about the nausea, I remember that all too well!!

Ducky feeding is difficult as he wont stay latched to me and is struggling to feed from me so I've been expressing. ahhhh the relief after expressing a feed!
DS1 slept good last night and tonight he's just fallen asleep :) which isn't bad tbh!
Just hope DS2 sticks to 3 hourly feeds and doesn't wake up earlier!

Midwife came round, DS2 has a slight bit of jaundice so he's having his levels checked every day.
I'm having my beaded sutures out tomorrow which I never heard of! Last csection with DS1 I had staples!

zombiemeow · 30/10/2015 07:50

Iam I hope your work make some adjustments for you. How exciting Grin I hated having the bloods done though, they seem to always want loads. I hope you get your scan date through soon.

Cupcake that's great about ds sleeping. Are you in much pain now? When you said beaded suchures I had a little image in my head of a scar with pretty beads sewn in Grin

We had a bad night last night, I don't know what was up with ds really hope it's teething he slept really well from around 7.30, then I went to bed at 9.30 (he'd had me up from 2am the previous day Blush) and he just woke up and was just whining, this went on until at least 11.45, that's when I looked at the clock last anyway. Then during the night he was up every few mins. I'm exhausted. It's h's 'day off' whatever one of them is so he's still in bed and I could bloody punch him.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 30/10/2015 10:47

He is selfish your DH Ducky, in terms of how much he helps with DS.

DS woke at just after 6 am this morning. DH and I both groaned. He said, 'You get up and change him and I'll make us some tea and get his milk'. Seemed like a good deal. After half an hour of milk and cuddles, DS fell asleep again between us and we had an hour of dozing. That is fair. Your DH should be doing his bit - for DS and you.

However, DH has just taken the rubbish out to the bin and you would think he had cleaned the whole kitchen!

It is pouring yet again here today. It has rained all day every day since Wednesday. We are going for a walk in the rain after lunch.

All sounds like good stuff Iam Smile The scan will be exciting. How lng until that happens?

Hope everything is going well for you today Cupcake.

zombiemeow · 30/10/2015 11:12

But your dh is lovely lulu Smile a walk in the rain sounds nice, I like going out in the rain.

I think he will soon realise what he has done and it will be too late to do anything about it, I left ds with h while I went to put my make up on, ds was hysterical, he was screaming at the stair gate trying to get to me. As soon as I came back he was fine.

Cupcake92 · 30/10/2015 15:47

Ducky not in a great deal of pain at all anymore! This csections is so much better than my emcs with DS1! And the beads were removed so easily, didn't hurt at all :)
I can not stand up straight without A weird pulling feeling there Grin
Plus the midwife helped me with my breastfeeding for a good hour! DS2 can now latch on and stay on and feed well. She was impressed with my milk supply so that's good Grin

Ducky not good about the bad night :( I hope it's a one off and DS sleeps well tonight, especially being awake so often last night. Gosh u need a good nights sleep :(
I hope u kicked H out of bed!! He needs to help u!

Iam how are u feeling today?
I bet ur over the moon after TTC so long :)

DS2's jaundice levels rose today but their said its okay it should start to drop tomorrow. He weighs 7lb 2oz now and has only lost 5% of his birth weight. She said it can be up to 8% so he's doing well :)

I ordered my double pram ! It's being delivered this afternoon! :)

Cupcake92 · 30/10/2015 15:49

Lulu it's rained here all day too! Hope I enjoyed ur walk in the rain Grin I couldn't do that id come home and my hair would be so frizzy!
Tho where U live id probably walk in the rain as I bet it looks so picturesque in the rain!

iamdivergent · 30/10/2015 16:28

Thanks all. He said scan should be in about 5wks. I was sick this morning and have felt rough all day, here we go again! My tummy feels like I'm travel sick iykwim such a horrible feeling.

iamdivergent · 30/10/2015 16:29

That's good news ds2 is feeding so well, it makes things so much work easier I found.

LuluJakey1 · 30/10/2015 16:29

It stopped raining so we took the bikes up the coast and went for a ride on the cycleway at the country park- DS strapped into a seat (DH's latest acquisition) on DH's bike and with a little helmet on and all wrapped up.He loved it. I am sooooo unfit. I was completely puffed and my legs are aching - despite all the walking I do. I used to run.

It was all on the flat and I thought he might fall asleep - the seat reclines a bit- but he didn't. DH said he was heavy on the back of the bike. We saw geese and ducks and herons and lots of waders. The trees were stunning.

Now we are home and cold and hungry.

Sounds like a good day Cupcake. Everything has gone really well with your CS and he is feeding well

Ducky, does your DH not get it when DS will not stay with him? My DH is lovely most of the time but I promise he would drive you potty. He has 4 pairs of shoes at the bottom of the stairs at the moment, two coats on the dining room table and a pile of paperbacks waiting to go upstairs - that he has bought from our local bookshop secondhand because he likes to support it. I found two cups at his side of the bed with mould growing in them.

zombiemeow · 30/10/2015 18:14

That's great news about the feeding cupcake! And it's good they spent the time with you helping you. Hopefully his jaundice levels will drop quickly. Ds looked like a banana when he was born, he was under the lamps 2 days and even when he came out he looked like a tanned banana.

Iam your first scan will come round quickly, did the Dr do your green notes for you? Where I am the mw does them.

Lulu I keep saying it but it really does sound lovely by you. As for your dh with his shoes and mouldy cups, I have certainly seen worse! Grin is he sticking to the 1 hr of work rule still? Have things calmed down a bit now at his job?

OP posts:
iamdivergent · 30/10/2015 21:06

Dr gave me my mat notes yeah Grin

zombiemeow · 31/10/2015 12:55

Anyone doing anything fun for Halloween?

OP posts:
iamdivergent · 31/10/2015 16:20

We are getting ready and going to a national trust place for a spooky walk and fireworks. We haven't told the kids though so it will be a nice surprise Smile what are you up to ducky?

LuluJakey1 · 31/10/2015 17:49

We have been to meet PIL for lunch at 'Betty's'.

I had fish and chips, so did FIL
DH had Yorkshire Sausages and mash
MIL had chicken gougons and chips

DS had a bit of everything on a plate. He liked all of it Smile and was very good.

Then we all had a 'Betty's' cake and tea. DS had a bit of DH's apple crumble.

We have come home with pumpkin marzipan cakes, curd tarts and ghost marzipan iced biscuits.

That is as far as we are going with Halloween. [thismile]

zombiemeow · 31/10/2015 18:18

Ohhh a spooky walk sounds ace! Bet they will love it.

Lulu sounds like you have had a nice day. Ds sounds well fed!

We aren't doing anything tonight, there is a walk & fireworks by us but ds wouldn't stay up for it. There are some very loud fireworks being let off over the road and ds is starting to get grouchy about it so I hope they stop soon Angry

It's also my wedding anniversary Hmm will have some wine I think.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 31/10/2015 19:04

Have you done anything nce for each other on your wedding anniversary Ducky?

The cats are in tonight because we can hear fireworks at a Halloween party up the street. DS is wideawake still. Can't see him going to bed anytime soon.

DH has gone out for a run.

zombiemeow · 31/10/2015 19:40

No we won't be doing anything lulu.

There are loads of fireworks going off here. They have kept ds up and the dogs are very frightened.

Have you had any trick or treaters? We haven't had any, haven't seen any about either, guess I will just have to eat the sweets myself Grin

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 31/10/2015 21:01

No we haven't had any trick or treaters and we have not got any sweets Smile

We are sitting here like two old married people. DH has had a bath and is in his pants and my dressing gown, I am in my pyjamas. He is reading and I am watching a documentray about The Queen and mnetting. He has a glass of guinness and I have a mug of tea Smile

He has just said 'When I've finished this next chapter, d'you fancy an early night?'

I replied 'Well I want to see the end of this documentary about The Queen.'

Passion gone mad, barely under control. Grin

zombiemeow · 31/10/2015 21:30

Your living life on the edge lulu!

So am I with my glass of wine watching Harry Potter

Hope the cats aren't affected too much by the fireworks
