Gabrielle, your hormone levels are normal - so you are not pregnant. If your period does not come on its own by the time a second period should have done, eg around 28 times 2 = 56, ie tomorrow, then after this point they may consider putting you on the contraceptive pill to jump start your periods.

This is not unusual. It is not unusual for any woman to occasionally miss or skip a period. As I have said before and you don't seem to want to hear, annovulation is normal and can occur to women at any point in their fertile lives. Medics do not like to intervene until two periods have been missed normally. This is standard practice, not that are trying to find a solution to having no period. They are just not interested until after two periods have been missed, as it commonly occurs in normal fertile women!!!!!

If you have conceived subsequently for a late ovulation, then you have no idea when that might have been or anything. The fact that you had normal hormone levels says you are not pregnant. If you were pregnant your progesterone levels would be higher.

Your current bad cramps might be late ovulation, or it could be that your period is about to start. You need to find some patience from somewhere.

Just had my period there. Tests are all fine so don't know why it's late.

Hmm

Had light bleeding mixture of brown/pink and red blood. Lasted 2 and a bit days. So don't know what's going on.

So you had your period (even if it was lighter than normal), hopefully your body will get back into a proper cycle for you this month.

Annovulatory cycles are normally just a blip, and gone, so hopefully counting the first day of bleeding as cd1 you will have your period arrive when you expect it this month.

It is good that you did not have to go onto BCP to restart your periods, your body has done what it needed on its own, as most women's bodies do.
Also as you get older your periods do change. In my teens and early 20's I had very heavy periods every 24 days, then they suddenly changed and got lighter but more painful and every 26 or 27 days. I then went on the pill. After the pill they were very light and every 26 days, after first pregnancy they were medium and every 30 days, after 2nd pregnancy they were every 27 days again, but each time I have been pregnant they have changed again (15 times!). Now with perimenopause, I have gotten so irratic I have no clear cycle pattern. It is totally normal! Changes in cycles, and the occassional annovulatory cycle is normal.

Yeah it's such a nusience tho. There's not chance it could be implantation could it? I think it's defo my period but I never had them so short or irratic before

I was impatient and took a test early and got a faint blue line. Took another 3 days later was very clear then! Good luck Smile

gabrielle - wait 3 more days, do one pregnancy test, if it is not clearly positive, then you are not pregnant, and you need to accept you are not pregnant and move on. If it is clearly positive, then I have been wrong!

gabrielle1201 · 23/10/2015 16:38

I'm not putting your opinion or anything like that down. I am simply wondering what is wrong with me if I am not pregnant then so be it but I would want to know why I am getting such irratic period/spotting or whatever it is. Obviously not pregnant as the tests have said so but I am wondering if this is spotting or something else because it's different colours and also lasted very quickly.

Could it be spotting? I was due the period on the 27th of this month as it didn't come last month? Or is it just a period? It looks like watered down pink discharge and today it is brown tinged in colour and can only be noticed when I wipe. I'm just wondering if anyone has been in this boat and I have nothing to worry about as it may just be a period but I was 24 days late there before any bleeding. Thanks! X
