First response came up positive then the rest were negative part from a tesco one. But it could be I was fertilising the day I took it I don't really know. I am hoping I am pregnant as I have never experienced this before with my first child .

The first image in my last taken CB. The bottom one which is opened is from the Internet. I am driving my self crazy not being in placement and with those tests. Any help would be grateful.

Pointless opening a digital test, they all have extra lines, it means nothing. If you open up any digital test there will always be two lines and it means nothing....... Note that the picture you took from the internet has not got the not pregnant test which has the same lines again.

By opening any test that is in a case, you can get an evaporation line too.

Digital tests are less sensitive than the dye tests, so if you are getting negative tests with the dye, then it is a waste taking a digital test.

Have I read this right - you are 7 days 'late' and you have had consistently negative tests apart from the first possible one that you posted your first picture? (the second blue line picture, I could see no blue second line, the line was clear, so just the indentation line)

Also is the test that you showed originally with the positive, was it a new style first response test? If so, then I can tell you that there have been many false positives on these recently.

I am still unclear from you if that first picture you posted was taken within 10 minutes of the test being done?

So the questions I would have are:

  1. Was the first test you posted a new style early response test?
  2. Was the first test you posted a picture 10 mins or more after the test was taken?
  3. Was the first test you posted from 7 days or more ago?

Can you post the original picture with no editing?

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 19:42

No it was a normal first response one. It was exactly 10 minutes and it was from 7 days ago yes.

Don't open clear blue digitals, they always have extra lines and they mean nothing. Some people see extra lines and are pregnant, some see extra and aren't. They don't work in the same way as ordinary pregnancy tests.

It explains why here

TLPaterson11 · 04/10/2015 20:07

Do you find out bloods tomorrow morning Hun? X

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 20:24

I just have no patience at all, get results tomorrow still no sign of AF. And I'm not stressed and don't have thiorid issues. Just want to know what is causing no AF. Get results at 2pm tomorrow so I shall let you all know how I get on. Hopefully it will be a bfp.

Like the other posters have said CB digital are a pain in the bottom and take a lot of hormones to register! I'm in the same boat Hun I'm 7 days late now and negatives all round. Really hope you get your BFP!! Xx

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 20:41

Thank you! I'm hoping too! I'd be one very happy girl! And even if it were negative at least give me AF so I can have something to blame my mood swings and emotional behaviours on LOL

Sorry I meant the original picture of the first response test. The digital always have more lines, you can't read them for lines.

It is totally normal for an occasional anovulatory cycles to occur:

Quote from this
uk.clearblue.com/sites/default/files/HCP_Publications/anovulation_backgrounder_hcp_v8.pdf website:
"Most women will experience anovulatory cycles at some point during
their reproductive lives. They occur most commonly in women close
to menarche and menopause due to changing hormone levels, but
anovulatory cycles also happen amongst healthy, regularly menstruating
women, with preceding and succeeding cycles being ovulatory. This is
unlikely to affect the woman’s fertility. "

Not a medical research paper or anything, but easy to read. Clearly you don't have to have anything wrong for it to happen. Missing a period happens in normal women, with no cause.

It is clear that you are desperately wanting to be pregnant, but if the one positive test you got was real then it is sadly not looking like a positive outcome.

I hope that you get the results quickly tomorrow, as it seems to be making you anxious.

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 21:16

Well when I took the test apart it looks more like evap lines. I am just going to hope for the best tomorrow and if I am not then I can keep trying . Just hoping for a bfp.

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 21:19

I'm so anxious and my patience has worn thin. Tho this never happened to me before my periods are always on time or one day after and I just don't know what to do with myself and then I think I'm pregnant or done something e.g. Was stressed and that's why it isn't here. But thank you! I'll have a quick read.

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 21:24

If that type of ovulation was the cause can you still be ovulating in the one cycle twice?

OP posts:
willitbe · 04/10/2015 21:41

You would not ovulate twice, but, your body can gear up for ovulation, and then not actually ovulate. So you could get a positive on an OPK test for example, but not ovulation occur. But then your body might try again a week or so later, and you could ovulate then. Hence why some women can be a couple of weeks late for their period and not be pregnant.

Or it is possible to just not ovulate in one cycle, have a bleed late, then return to normal the following cycle. Again, totally normal.

You do sound very anxious, but honestly the best thing here is to try and distract yourself with something else. Nothing right now will change the outcome, whatever that is, so trying to think about something else is best.

Stress can delay your period as the stress hormones can delay ovulation. It can't delay your period arriving after you ovulate. I hope that you can distract yourself tonight and find some patience from somewhere!

gabrielle1201 · 04/10/2015 21:45

I'm going to try get some sleep n focus myself on my placement tomorrow. It's just scary .

OP posts:
gabrielle1201 · 05/10/2015 10:46

They said it was below 7 so it's negative.
