Soda, I've had no symptoms that I could hand on heart put down to pregnancy. About a week ago I think I mentioned on this thread that I was a bit uncomfortable on and off in the abdomen area - kind of a light discomfort in occasional pulses - but it was really quite high (level with my belly button, and on both sides) so I don't think it was implantation - probably just trapped wind or something! Other than that - nothing. No sore boobs, no cramping, no sickness. I always thought I'd 'feel' pregnant, too, so I think that's partly why I don't quite believe it.

That's a really good idea about telling people you can't try for 6 months. I only told three people we were trying - my closest friend at work, my best friend from uni, and a friend of mine who is a GP and a handy source of advice! We haven't told our families that we're trying at all. My BIL is about to have his first child, and my brother is about to get engaged (and he's not told anyone in our family but me that he's proposing - I am SO EXCITED!) so I just feel I don't want to steal anyone's thunder. I think if my mum were still alive I would have HAD to have told her, though! Never could tell fibs to my mum Smile

Cookies, I agree about the pink dye tests. The CB one I took yesterday morning was relatively faint, whereas on the FR I took at lunchtime today the two pink lines are practically the same colour! I'll post a pic to show you the difference...

Bluebell20 · 26/10/2015 15:11

Clear Blue taken Sunday morning, FR taken Monday lunchtime - only about 29 hours between them, and look at the difference!

Oh no, Amanda Sad. There's no chance it's not just one of those light periods I've heard people sometimes have when they're pregnant?

Cookiesandcoffee · 26/10/2015 15:38

Oh no Amanda.. Is it heavy? If very light things can still be ok? I did have light bleeds in my other pregnancies in the early days and I have two very healthy children. Fingers crossed and good luck.

I've had no symptoms.. Just achey cramps similar to AF. Although was pumpkin carving with DDs yesterday and I felt so ill I had to leave the room (left with another responsible adult for the record Wink)

Sodasoda · 26/10/2015 15:52

Really sorry amanda that must be so tough after you saw those lines. Am hoping like the others it is light and you're still in with a chance.

Thanks for info re OPKs. I don't do temp charting so I guess no hard evidence I did actually ovulate - I do get quite a distinct lower back ache around the time of my positives so have always taken that as a good sign too - and I definitely had that this month.

TMI alert - I keep feeling really 'wet' below and rushing off to the loo convinced AF is here. No sign but quite a bit of creamy discharge. Honestly between rushing to the loo and replying to you guys it's a wonder I'm getting any work done Wink

Thisisbonkers · 26/10/2015 15:56

Soda same here Blush not tonnes of discharge though, I think it's psychological Blush

MrsNuckyT · 26/10/2015 16:56

Bluebell - congrats! That is great news. I was completely symptomless in my first pregnancy apart for a little tiredness around the 10 week mark. Other than that, no symptoms until I actually started to show. Although it is annoying because you want to 'feel' pregnant, it is actually a huge blessing when you see how ill / tired some people get.

amanda that sucks about the false alarm. How disappointing! However, at least you'll enjoy your wine tonight!

Loki17 · 26/10/2015 17:12

Amanda- I only have one working ovary. I'm currently ttc number 2, but was lucky enough to fall pregnant with dd in our first proper month of trying. One ovary is all you need as it should compensate for the other. good luck with the rest of your journey x

Thisisbonkers · 26/10/2015 18:54

Spoke to soon. I'm out Sad

Bluebell20 · 26/10/2015 19:28

Sorry to hear that, bonkers Sad. Hope you can at least enjoy a nice big glass of vino tonight.

I got my smile from DH, at last. He is still being very cautious and not getting carried away, but at least he actually believes it now!

Bluebell20 · 26/10/2015 19:31

Also, Soda you made me laugh so much with that last paragraph!

And Nucky, you're right - long may the lack of feeling ill continue!

Sodasoda · 26/10/2015 21:55

Really sorry bonkers Flowers Are you doing ok? Hope you're chilling out tonight with some wine.

Great news on your DH bluebell, I so want to do that for my DH. Bless him, he's been asking 'any news?' meaning is AF here?! Ha - glad I made you laugh. My colleagues probably think I have a wee infection
Blush

So I massively caved and did an IC test tonight when I got home. Furious with the test and myself BFN. I'm so annoyed with my body! What's going on?! I bought a very expensive fertility monitor to use next month and we're having a weekend away which coincided nicely with my 'fertile period' on November. Argh! Angry If you're going to come then show yourself AF!!

Thisisbonkers · 26/10/2015 22:13

Just bawled my eyes out in the shower, soda but I'll be fine BlushSad No wine on a school night but I will be more than making up for it this weekend! Wine

It just means all the tests are now go go go and it frightens me. It's not what I signed up for Sad

Thisisbonkers · 26/10/2015 22:14

I hope you either get a BFP (try fmu?) or AF puts you out of your misery so you can look forward to your weekend away Wink

Sodasoda · 26/10/2015 22:30

Ah I'm so sorry bonkers. How long have you been TTC (sorry - stats are a long way back!) Have you been referred by GP? This is month 7 trying for #1 and I honestly never thought it would take this long. I know that's not that long and I sound daft but everyone around me seems to get knocked up straight away!

I'm not going to test tomorrow, I'm in such a bad mood now that I've promised DH I'll wait a few one days. I also find FMU difficult because I always get up for a wee or two in the middle of the night... Blush

Thisisbonkers · 26/10/2015 22:37

We started last December so 10/11 months. GP will refer at 12 months(ish) so is doing all the preliminary tests first, basically after the results of my scan we'll get a referral, whatever that actually means Confused. Pretty much all my friends have fallen pregnant straightaway or by accident (three times Hmm). This just sucks.

I'm a mid-night pee-er too Blush but I pee all day too with the amount of (bloody decaf!!) tea I drink Blush. Still got my fingers crossed for you Smile

Vikkijayne2507 · 26/10/2015 23:19

Trying to catch up as had Ds baptism and all family around.

Well think I'm out the teeny spotting like last month which turned into af started yesterday ( albeit a lot lighter only a spek here and there) so not going to test until at least 29th. This is due to me thinking I'll be 12 dpo due to positive opk on the Friday. My app thinks I'm 11 dpo today as it detected a temp shift Thursday.

Bit miffed as did pretty gd bd timings oh well

Sodasoda · 27/10/2015 09:15

Ah it does suck bonkers. And the worst thing people can say is 'just relax and it'll happen' right?! At least your GP is being proactive and has got you in the system.

CD33 for me in this never ending torture! My ovia app has gone mad and doesn't know what's going on. It's not the only one Hmm Not doing a test today, meeting a friend tonight and will probably have a glass of wine because the law of sod being what it is I figure the more I misbehave the greater my preg chances? Doesn't it work like that?! If still no sign then am planning to do another test tomorrow.

Please don't all move to the November bus and leave me all alone just yet! [smile

vikkijayne - good luck with testing!

Bluebell20 · 27/10/2015 18:13

Soda, I sort of reckon you're right with the sod's law thing... I can't believe I had a couple of drinks at that conference last week, but it was only because I was so sure I was out! And if you're not right, at least you'll have bloody well enjoyed a glass of wine. Good luck with your test tomorrow - I'm rooting for you. And good luck to you too, Vikkijayne.

Bonkers, I'll be crossing my fingers for you on the November thread! Smile

Sodasoda · 27/10/2015 21:08

Ah thanks bluebell that's really nice of you and much appreciated. Feeling a bit lonely on the October bus now! Glad you don't think I'm bad having a glass of wind tonight - I needed it. Met a friend who told me she was pregnant! She proceeded to moan all evening about how she was going to miss out on all the Christmas party drinking. I was really upset / angry. Obviously she doesn't know I'm trying right now because I told her my line about not being able to try for 6 months because of my dodgy smear but you'd think she might be sensitive because of that? Honestly Angry

Definitely not testing tonight but think I will tomorrow, I expected to get AF last Thursday / Friday so surely that should give me an answer? I'll let you know one way or another Smile

vikkijayne are you testing tomorrow?

Tamara160 · 27/10/2015 21:17

Blimey there's lots to catch up on! I love that it's such a chatty thread Smile

Amanda, that must be gutting. I hope you're ok.

I hope you get your BFP soon Soda. When do you test again? Sorry if you've already said, i can't keep up!

Bonkers i hope you're ok. At least the doctors are in your corner though. Fingers crossed November is the month for you!

Hmm it could be implantation Vikki. From what I've read some women mistake it for af. Fingers crossed for you.

As for me, AF hasn't arrived as yet. Boobs are still killing me. Had to pour my coffee away earlier as the taste of milk was gross. Been feeling queasy all day too, but then again i often do when AF is here.

Tomorrow feels like such a long way away!! Shock

Sodasoda · 27/10/2015 22:31

Ooh hi tamara, nice to hear from you Smile I don't know about chatty, I think it's mainly me just jabbering away!

I'm planning on testing tomorrow. More likely to be evening so I'm not in a bad mood to start the day. also if I ever do get a positive I'm not sure I'll be able to just head off to work and be normal! Good luck gor your testing!

Bluebell20 · 28/10/2015 08:48

Soda, your mate does sound massively insensitive, given everything she knows. However, giving her the benefit of the doubt, I wonder if she was trying to play down her excitement and play up the negatives, in a cack-handed attempt to make you feel better? Hope so...

Also, I was wondering whether you being a frequent pee-er means that your urine never gets a chance to build up HCG? I held my pee for five hours (!!!) on Monday before I tested (I only drank one cup of decaf tea and a small glass of water in that time, too).

Tamara, hoping for a good result for you today, too! Smile

Tamara160 · 28/10/2015 09:33

Haha Soda your 'jabbering' is keeping me going! I have everything crossed for you for later!

That's impressive Bluebell! I may have to try that.

I tested this morning (at 5:30) as i couldn't wait anymore Blush i think there was a faint line and dh could see one too. I forgot to take a picture though in my sleepy haze. There's definitely a weird line now but it could just be an evap line. I'm going to try and get hold of a first response today and have another crack at it later.

Bluebell20 · 28/10/2015 09:49

Ooo Tamara, sounds exciting!!! Do get a FR if you can find one, and do try to hold your wee for as long as poss, too! xx
